I dont think its a successor to Mi A1 since it has been on market less than a a year and not due to replacement yet.Perhaps Mi A1 will be Xiaomi new lineup that are non-miui and with the price a little higher than redmi note series.

Hey guys great review. Loved it. I'm planning to buy the now 5 pro but i read a review in which they told the apps are not optimised for 18:9 display so when an app is running then there's a big black patch on the lock screen as the screen automatically stitches to 16:9

my Redmi note 3 still performs very well...even though it is 2 years old...i also has the s6 edge but ram management on that after 8 months of use was just not up to the mark...
