Correction. 1, atari did not got the license for it’s console ports, that belongs to coleco wich were responsible for the 2600 port of it. However atari secured the rights for all computer systems of it. 2, once coleco went bankrupt in 1988, atari then finally got the rights for those console versions as well and so they ported donkeykong to their 7800. 3. Sadly however the 7800 version does not have all 4 levels of it unlike it’s computer counterparts of it at average for some reason.
Some glaring errors in the commentary: Missile Command: The game ends when the player's missile batteries are destroyed or the city is hit by too many missiles. The game also includes a limited supply of smart bombs that can be used to destroy all the incoming missiles on the entire screen at once. (Video shows the 2600 version but only really talks about the arcade version.) Pitfall: The game is played on a single screen that Scrolls horizontally. Harry has a limited amount of time to complete each level and must collect all the treasure within that time limit in order to advance to the next stage. Space Invaders: Was one of the first Home console games to use a microprocessor based Hardware Design. In 1981 Atari released a sequel to Space Invaders called Space Invaders part 2. Centipede: The game's success also helped pave the way for other successful arcade games such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong: Atari which was one of the leading video game companies at the time licensed the rights to port Donkey Kong to its home consoles including the Atari 2600. Adventure: The game is also known for its unique enemies including a duck that can steal the player's items.
Should've titled this vid "Top 10 Atari 2600 video games" my friend. I didn't kno wut i was walking into. I personally liked the 5200 as I didn't see enuff of an upgrade with the 7800, but from 2600 to 5200 to me there was a big difference as a kid..
Atari never had the rights to make Donkey Kong for it's consoles, just their computers...big difference.
Atari only had the license to publish donkey kong for home computers. Coleco had the license for the console rights.
Great list.... But i would have swapped out pac man for Ms Pacman. That 2600 version is fantastic
Love Mrs. Pacman; I've only recently learned of its origin.
Yar's Revenge is my number 1 Atari 2600 game.
Great video. Adventure has no duck. It is a bat
@@downscope3133 now that is true. I should have realized that.

Although he did say that the duck steals your stuff, and that is definitely the bat.

Was this video created by AI? So many inaccuracies. I don't even know where to start.

This list is not very good. Let's just leave it at that. I don't think the writer actually ever owned an Atari 2600.
The narrator says there is a duck in Adventure; no need to take his videos seriously
Yeah, he said smart bomb that destroys everything on the screen in missile command - totally false.
donkey kong was ported by coleco who made it poor on purpose to help sell their colecovision, atari only had the home computer rights at that time.

Nice list however haunted house would be on my list. That was my favorite game when I got atari when it first came out. It’s still good today.
Missile Command actually has 6 cities which originally were real California cities.
Donkey Kong in this list makes the list invalid
10. Matei's fav
I like Pinball and Warlords.
Man, so many mistakes and inaccurate information. It's called research...look into it.
No combat ,😥🤣🤣🤣
If you don't know a thing about the topic don't make a video
Stopped watching number 7
