Axl Rose is the lead singer for GN'R.... (Bret Michaels was lead for Poison) YES, Guns n Roses is VERY worth checking out! And YES....Slash is Lead guitarist and backing vocals. FUN FACT: Axl's voice is legendary, he even volunteered to Sub-in for 7 shows for Brian Johnson during AC/DC's "Rock Or Bust" tour in 2016 while Brian was out for hearing loss issues.... Axl killed it and showed the utmost respect to Angus and the guys while he was performing for them! NEXT UP for GN'R: If you thought this was crazy, you NEED to do "Paradise City" next..... SERIOUSLY!! SIDE NOTE: You said you noticed a lot of "these" lead singers were very flamboyant and "feminine" on stage. I'm assuming Robert Plant was one of the frontmen who you were referring to??? It wasn't a feminine/flamboyant thing...... They were being overtly sexual/sensual, and TRUST ME.... The girls ate it up!!!!!!! Peace Biz.....
I had a chuckle when you said that Axel was feminine. That man was a brawler, and would hit first then ask questions later.. There was an incident with a photographer who was getting too close to a woman (think it was a friend) and warned him "touch her again, I'll break your f**king neck." Didn't heed the warning.. Axel is well known for his fighting, and bad attitude.
Love GnR!! They are one of the best bands to come out of the 80's. Their whole Appetite For Destruction album is amazing. Not one bad song on the whole thing. Great song pick and reaction!! 🙂
They are singers and performers- keep in mind, these guys kept up this energy through entire live performances. Don't see this today, glad this happened back in my day.
"Welcome to the Jungle," just released, was featured in the final Dirty Harry movie (Clint Eastwood). G&R had a fresh sound and their first album had multiple hits. Definitely worth covering. 🎸🤘🔥
Oh now you're speaking my language haha.. Oh yeah Axel Rose the lead singer was my biggest heart throb back in the 80s. It's so funny because I look at him now & you said they were flamboyant. I now kinda see it here in this video. He is still sexy AF though 🤣😂 See, this is why I like your channel because your reactions are honest. I cant stand when someone says they've never heard of Guns N Roses. They are straight up lying. Loved it 👏
When Axl Rose got off the bus from the Midwest on his first day in Los Angeles, a homeless guy looked at him and said, "Do you know where you are? You're in the jungle baby, and you're gonna die." And this song was inspired.
Hey Biz!! It's Jen!! You know I write A LOT, Biz so remember you ASKED for us to write what we know about GNR. I'll stick to just a bit about the band, song, and album. In the early 80's GNR was a fixture on the Hollywood Strip. A regular at the Trubadour, yet overlooked by producers being thought of as another garage band. Tom Zutaut saw them play & he immediately felt he had found the band as he told David Geffen "that would be bigger than Led Zeppelin". On Zutaut's word, Geffen gave them a 75K advance to do an album. It was tough with all the partying to get all 5 together. Zutaut did a lot of babysitting. He went so far as to have the producer and studio on call 24/7 for those moments he could nail them down. The album got its name from a piece of artwork Axl (lead singer) once saw. It was a graphic depiction of a woman being ominously looked over with jaws (which he specifically called fake news) to destroy her called "Appetite for Destruction". Axl showed the picture to Zutaut & said he believed this was the future that people have an appetite to destroy ourselves. Wow! Was Axl right! Record stores refused to carry it - too graphic. The album stalled & was being declared a failure by the record company. Zutaut said oh hell no & the cover was remade with a cross & and skull depictions of the band members. The video you just watched, "Welcome to the Jungle", MTV wouldn't play because the man that owned the affiliates said NOPE not on his stations. Once AGAIN Zutaut stepped in and put his neck on the line begging Geffen to go above this guy's head, pull strings, favors, whatever to get it on MTV. Well, it worked but they gave them the worst slot on the channel - 4am. The very first night "Welcome to the Jungle" premiered the phones began to ring off the hook!! People went crazy over it. Zutaut, who had championed them every step of the way, was vindicated & the rest is history as "Welcome to the Jungle" went into heavy rotation & shot to #7 laying the groundwork work the other phenomenal tracks to follow. "Appetite For Destruction" became the biggest debut album of all time unseating "Boston" for that title which held since the late 70's. There's conflicting stories - but as Axl tells it - the line "You're in the Jungle baby - you're gonna die" which he placed at the breakdown right before the bridge was something a homeless man yelled to him as he got off a bus in NYC who was trying to scare him. Other notable facts: Axl isn't just another lead singer. Axl has a very rare 6 octave range - which is nearly unheard of in Rock. Then there's Slash - many of his riffs are some of the most recognizable in the world. Slash & Axl are the big upper line of GNR songs while the drummer - Steven - typically played a kind of hard hitting dance beat. Interesting stuff. I know you love Slash - I'll tell you about that genius another time. To see the unbelievable range of GNR react to "Paradise City" & "Sweet Child Of Mine" -- then react to "November Rain". November Rain is a beautiful piece of work. If you actually read all this - You ROCK Biz. Definitely more GNR!! ✌🎵❤
@@watchbizmatik OMG! Thank You, Biz! I'm a fountain of music knowledge because I think it's so interesting! I try to contain myself from writing ✍ but when you asked I was like... I'm going for it!! 🤣🤣🤣 I TRULY appreciate that you took the time to learn about this incredible band & album.
This song started it all. I remember when it debuted on MTV. It was like 2am. It kicked me square in the ass! It also kicked rock music in it's ass too! I've said it before and I'll say it again, Slash is a God! The shooting star sound he gets in Welcome To The Jungle blows my mind to this day!
I hit the like button, I been subscribed & I love your reactions!! Don’t expect you to dance either 🤣 Please do their song called “You Could Be Mine” 🔥🔥
GNR was one of the best bands to come out of the 80's! Axel Rose only sung like that because the girls the band lived with helped style their clothes, and suggested "Axel" sing add those noises to aquire more female fans! He did! They did! IT WORKED! He is a straight man. He is not a racist! That was a rumor because of lyrics in a song. So, keep rocking out with GNR! PLEASE react to "Sweet Child O' Mine!
This came out in 87/88 & it was different from the hair metal populating the airwaves.....AC/DC (of course not hair metal) was pretty much done, except for “Thunderstruck”, with their classics......Metallica & Iron Maiden, etc were still tearing up Metal but this G&R hard rock shit was just mean & dirty while still catchy af.....This was the intro song to one of the greatest albums (not just rock) of all time - both critically & commercially....I suppose “”Sweet Child O Mine” should be next.....The Appetite for Destruction album is just banger after banger....great reaction - appreciate it !
All guns songs are hit they are the most live band ever too , they thought they all would be dead after the first recorded album . And his hair wasn't his Idea In this video they was so big after this he never listen too anyone after .
Back in the "Arena Rock" days you had to put on a show. The crowds were HUGE and wanted something to watch. Axel Rose had an amazing voice. (my personal opinion--->) He's gotten weird now.
Great reaction!!!! You could react to the amazing ,"It' s so Easy" , Rocket Queen" , " Out ta get me" from their first album Appetie fo Destruction and " You' re crazy" in acoustic version from their album " Lies"....

Every song on Appetite For Destruction is worth listening to... over & over again!!
Very much worth it... November Rain, Civil War, Don't Cry, Patience, Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City.
Guns and Roses - vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler.
yes that is Slash... But the singer is Axel Rose. Brett Michaels was with the band Poison, which is another great band.
Axl*

how can you think slash is one of the greatest guitar players and not know he was with guns and roses?
Paradise City is a banger and well worth your time. I love your reactions and those facial expressions tell us when you dig what your listening to.
They got big playing clubs in L.A. The "hair band" was the fashion there at the time. The "jungle" was the city.
