Anyone felt kingdom hearts vibes from this game? Reina’s hidden secrets and agenda Jin’s light and darkness thing, his mindscape and the scene where he accepts the devil (Vanitas and Ventus) The city they fight in the intro, and characters just positively reaffirming Jin like he’s the one who ties everyone together
@@fightingmedialounge519 Yeah I get that and it’s not something I’m in ignoring either. It’s just Kingdom Hearts popped into my head at the time which is what my brain was associating it with. Regardless you’re not wrong.
1:52:36 Dawg: "Lars got pushed hard" Actually, T6 Lars was able to match Kazuya at the time, and has wins over Azazel, Alisa, and Jin Those 4 were like the final bosses of T6 scenario campaign.
1:51:00 OMG Dawg I can't believe you said that. That uncle Ruckus level of hate towards Lars. Lars the poster boy of Tekken 6, the guy who in canon beat most of that roster(with help) and won? Hell, most of those guys had goons in the way so he wasn't in peak shape and came out on top. Even Heihachi could not make a showing that he was vastly superior to Lars. This is also the same guy in ONE day in short burst with hordes of enemies in his way: took out Kazuya, pacified Azazel, took out Bosconivitch finest: Alisa, and humbled Jin Kazama. Lars has been shown to be THAT guy and is known to be THAT guy! His resume even now is impressive. To downplay him is absurd given all this. You can complain that he gets to much love, but you at least have to respect the man's grit.
King has always been a really good character, not dominating, but definitely above mid tier and just before S tier, but people are mad at King because the grab break window has become way too small, and his neutral tools are way too good for a grappler. King was Reiko before Reiko was Reiko, he does not have a clear weakness
Yeah Tekken 8 looks like a lot of fun. Seen the gameplay and trailers for the characters, looks like a lot of fun. Don’t know much about the series, only seen little bits of the 7th one. Also Elden ring dlc looking huge, massive and insane. ❤
Canon has to be earned for me. Writers can’t just shallowly make references and expect me to just accept it when contradictions can be made ESPECIALLY when the game is bad and disrespectful, or just doesn’t care to have a consistent tone just for spectacle and to be proclaimed as having “personality”
This game story is amazing in terms of Tekken standards. It gives Jin a simple but great arc for him after hes had a deathwish for the past couple of games and its ten times better than the story mode they gave us in Tekken 7
One of the first things the game tells you when you finish story is that you got a bonus cutscene that showed how Jun somehow survived, and it's separate from any of the arcade stuff So for all intents and purposes she's likely alive
yeah if you watch her character ending it explains how she survived and why shes been missing. I was hoping 8 would finish the devil storyline and either reboot or revamp the story. Actually having tournament brackets was cool even if only it was a short section of the game
Man, me and my friend used to frequent PS clubs back in the day just to have a couple rounds of Tekken 3. Such a shame that Tekken never took off in my country due to how expensive consoles were and they weren't advertised that much.
1:42:40 That's not just for espionage Dawg. It's to avoid bullets. Dragunov training kicked and was wondering, "Why hadn't a sniper taken out this idiot?"
Dog was preaching to fucking crowd about Nina, goddamn I miss when she and Anna had a rivalry and were competing all the time and shit, but then Nina became a generic jobber goon and Anna started being locked in the DLC jail with Armor King.
My only thing is that rivalry had as much substance as Asuka and Lili rivalry. The only reason it's more valid is due to them being the OG rivals. However, they have done nothing substantial with it. Nina was always a scumbag it just has an air "class" to her. Money is all that mattered. Besides her rivalry, she got nothing but, - An illegitimate song with whom she wants nothing (which is fair that she never raised him and is not something she made with love.) - And was one of the main assistants for the big corpos. I fail to see the appeal of Nina personally. I would prefer to see Anna, a woman who wanted to move on from her assassin life and see her try to adapt. But this bitch dragged her back in. All I can say is Nina for the streets. Her characterization is spot on. If you... ignore 4 ending
Tekken 8s story is meh. It's not good written and it's barely better than 6 and 7 but we have better presentation like better cutscenes, more characters are in it(and not guest characters) and so on. Also Kazuya is not dead and Jun literally has a xenolouge where she explains how she ended up a coma.
@@johanfabriciochavezbarreto8419 a bunch of characters just forgave Jin? Very cringe dialogue. Characters randomly pop in and out like Bryan,Yoshi and Hwoaranag are not part of the final fight. The ending is essentially a blue ball so people will buy Tekken 9.
Right after we were done recording. The Peacemaker trailer (fml). So we'll talk about that in the next episode.
We will just wait until he drops and then talk about it 😂

That's more just common tropes found in Japanese media aimed at a adolescent demographic.
Yes actually glad I’m not the only one lol
Not really. Those are common tropes associated with Japanese media for a younger demographic.

Marvel is named after a magazine from 1940 called Marvel Comics. It's where Namor debuted.
jin kazama has always been an iconic tekken char and Main Protagonist. one of the best

Yh just a couple of goofy mk fan boys tryna rag on tekken cuz mk sucks.
Your telling the pachinko games are actually canon!!!?
How else to make you play them?
Just bet a bit more of that money, and you may get canonical cutscene!
10:43 not entirely true Snake. Feng TT2 ending was also one where see her without Lili.
Also Claudios bio said that the ultimate he uses against Kazuya are supposed to kill him?

What if the devils are just alien?
I have a silly Question: Can DLC Characters be considered Pay 2 Win?
1:13:47 Or heihachi did some kinda weird sci-fi shit to his wife body
(Like his corp. already created Steve from Anna cells so....)
1:16:13 fuck

That's unlikely since he needed the devil gene in 4.
