What happens: Wattles gets mad, burns village
Aftermath: watches village burn in the distance enjoying a nice steak
One of the reasons why I like to generally wait till an update releases (sometimes even wait for 1.1x.1) before starting to play around with the new features. That way, I get no unexpected bugs, and zero disappointments.

Hey Wattles, you may be able to fix this!
Create that new world with the old seed, then exit out, then copy the survival island's level.DAT file and use it to overwrite the level.DAT file in the new world.
I had to do this when I screwed up my survival island playthrough after 400 days. Was able to save all my island builds and continue from where I left off.

wattles, i found a massive cherry blossom on bedrock preview. seed: -8956813351703734851, coords: 878, 216, -4130. idk how similar java and bedrock are with biome generation, hopefully it works on both

Wattles, please think of your massive fan base/family and don't do anything you might regret....... or we might regret. Take some time, speak to my therapist or yours, whichever, then hop straight back onto that wagon. I'm thinking that you need to convert the world to bedrock, use the new world editor to copy your lovely creations into a new copy of the world, convert all of that back to Java...... and..... problem solved 😁 Just in case any of that gets frustrating, remember to keep that therapist on speed dial and remember that we love you 😊❤️😊

You could start over using the very first seed you ever published, see how it's changed between then and now and what new things generate in old familiar places... it's a great time to commemorate and recover from the disappointment of no cherry blossoms here
