People are either adding, subtracting, dividing or multiplying into our lives. As painfully difficult as it was, my life is a billion times better without those who have substracted and divided my life!
I believe you, Ed Mylett says the same thing.. control your thermostat. When my wife complains and she’s bummed out in the middle of winter in New Brunswick, I told her if you were on a beach in Florida you would have a different attitude. My environment fucking sucks, that’s why I joined your elite coaching. I love my new environment. There’s fucking cool entrepreneurs all around New Brunswick and I love that.
Dear Dan. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for all the valuable content you have shared with your audience. I have been following your work for some time now and have found it immensely helpful. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael Rad and I moved to Orange County from Iran ten years ago. I am currently 25 years old and have worked in retail for a few years. During this time, I gained valuable experience in sales, leadership, and operations. Recently, I have decided to take on a new challenge and help my mother grow her business. She owns a skin care center in the service industry, which has tremendous potential to serve millions of people. However, there is a lot of work that needs to be done from an operational standpoint. I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice you may have on how to grow a business, as well as the areas that I should focus on first. Thank you again for all that you do.
I understand this on one level…from a networking point of view, and also that there is certainly a time to distance ourselves from someone who is a negative impact on our life, such as if they’re trying to get us into drugs. However, I view my friends as family, and couldn’t imagine distancing myself from friends just because they were not as successful as I am. Surely, however successful one gets, we should still be loyal to our dear friends who’ve been faithful to us throughout our journey, even if they themselves are not successful and don’t even fully understand the path we’re on (and maybe even at times ask the wrong questions that could demoralize us)? To love our neighbor as ourself surely applies to our unsuccessful neighbor as much as to our successful neighbor?
This has been my go-to channel since your interview with Think Media. That was the first time the details of how to outsource actually made sense to me. For some reason the way you explained it just clicked. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Great to see Jason's mastermind dinners first in the list! The first dinner I hosted with his technique just blew my mind, and most importantly, my guests' minds. Having everyone around the table there for a purpose makes for extremely valuable conversations and most importantly, connections. It was 8 or 9 years ago, and just recently, the connections from that dinner bring me value, even though some relationships went stale during covid, they lit back right up. Because propose enabled us to connect on deep beliefs and values. As for the 3 others, I have some reading to do! (I feel really guilty not yet having gone through Carnegie's work) Cheers Dan! Thank you for the inspiring and actionable videos. Question/topic for a next video: what's your recommended "scaling up" systems/books?
Any specific recommendations for women? I find it really hard to find a group of women who are on that next level especially in a small town. Would the goal then be to move ?
If you operate with a fixed mindset, you seek out interactions with people that make you feel capable. You would never consider becoming vulnerable by reaching out to a more capable person.
