I absolutely LOVE how you showed us how you mix your purple for the wild flower painting. I wish so badly more artist on YT would show that part of the process. I learn so many techniques from watching y'all make art but mixing colors isn't one of them! lol

The awkward stage had been hanging out at my house for about 3 months on two or three WIPs. Not sure when she's moving out 😂😂
😂😂😂 Blick got jokes. I love it. I am also very obsessed with the utrecht black gesso. It’s on the thin side. BUT provides an even coat of beautiful velvet black. I highly recommend it ❤❤ xoxo love you Mira and Blick!

I think you should try a Paint Puck. They're great helpers for rinsing paint off your brushes :) Also really like both paintings.

The one called "ice green" is my favorite color ever, I'm always so drawn to it! Like a cyan/mint/light aqua color, so gorgeous

I just got some wooden ornaments to paint for the holidays. I love to paint animals and cartoons.
Tip: when your tube is almost out of paint, cut it open and scrape the insides so you don't waste any.
How about a collection of crusty utensils? Crusty pallet, crusty brush cleaning glass... love it!!! And love your videos xx

The "bottom wing" is called the hind wing, & the "veiny things" are in fact veins 😜

I LOVE wood texture in my paintings! I even will block out where the painting will be with gesso, paint just over that, and keep the bare wood as my background. I want to some day get a nice wood wax to make it shine like in woodworking videos. It looks decently nice with just a varnish over it, but I've seen woodworking projects that look like they're practically glowing from the wax! I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the kind of wood used, but every wood gets at least a nicer finish with it than without.
Hey Mira, you could also use transparent gesso when you paint on wood so that you can still see the wood grain and colour!

Beautiful video ! Hi to the whole crusty painters out there :) got to say, I keep my brushes mostly clean. All the rest, pallets, and cups … are another story
I’m the same. I treat my brushes like babies. My palettes and water cups are a disaster
I would love for you to paint animals in general, but especially big cat animals (lions, tigers, jaguar and such)
It would be so interesting to see that in your style😍

Great vid! Can you make a video on how to make a pieces of wood looks new again using acrylic paint. My niece has this wooden puzzles which looks really old because of the old paints are now vanished and i want to repaint them using pastel color.
Love them both. I’ve watched you do all your wild flower fields and really just want to try my own! I tend to be really tight with details and smoothness, so the loose impressionistic is REALLY appalling right now!!

I love you're painting style Mira! I would love a Rainbow painter's sticker and the crusty dusty paint brushes sticker. Mine are so crusty it ain't even funny but their still usable. I always have some sort of soap in my water for paintbrushes. It really helps to get rid of all the stuck on paint. If that helps anyone else!
Crusty paint brush club! There's nothing like all the water evaporating out of the paint cup my brushes are soaking (abandoned) in waiting to be washed. This is why I only buy cheap brushes

I "wood" paint a collage of photos and keep the bg as wood and the photos would be nailed up so I would paint the nails too.

quick question! do you finish your wood pieces with some kind of top coat to protect it? or is it all about long term care to keep them bright and in good shape? I've tried a few little wood ornaments but the paint has chipped from near the edges in just 2 years of use only around the holidays
