      Number 6 actually makes sense. One of the symptoms of hypothermia is paradoxically feeling really hot, so the idea that a bunch of people would take off their clothes and get naked in the middle of a snowstorm makes sense.

      We also have to remember that even in this age, not every part of the ocean has been mapped or well known. The area of the ocean that they flew over is condiered to be one of the most dangerous ocean spots in the world, with strong winds, high waves and treacherous seas, if i recall its the largest part of ocean furthest away from any land mass and little has been explored due to the weather patterns. THE PLANE did crash, the debris all but confirmed it over the past years, whats mysterious is how it crashed and if the black boxes that recorded the cockpit data can be retrieved. so we know just exactly what happened. it would also help if china, india and the us released its secret radar data that to this day they refuse, for it would reveal their modern rada tracking technology they use to spy on each other.

      Turns out dyatlov had rigged his tent with a furnace. The furnace exploded after carbon dioxide levels made the hikers pass out. The explosion woke them up and sent them all running out of the tent to avoid burning to death. The lack of clothing on most and burn injuries are good indicators of the veracity of this theory. Hope this helps someone!

    4:53: The Dyatlov Pass incident was actually solved a few years back by some researchers. Alexander Puzrin and Johan Gaume used, in part, the code from Disney's _Frozen_ to create a simulation of what may have happened that night. The code in question was the code used to create the simulated snowfall, which the researchers found to be unsually and even surpisingly realistic.
    Using the code and their research, they were able to conclude that, while there was no snowfall that night, there didn't need to be. The hikers had cut a slope- basically, cut a hole in the side of a snowdrift to make shelter. The cutting appears to have destabilzed the snow, and a katabatic wind- a drainage wind which sweeps downhill due to air colder than the ground- set the snow in motion. This would account for why several hikers had shattered bones, skull injuries, etc, as well as why they were scattered so widely. The survivors of the intial avalanche are believed to have attempted to run for help, but there was no chance of survival.

    • @dietotaku

      it didn't even have to involve "mountain sickness." there was an avalanche, they had to cut themselves out of their tents to avoid being buried alive, which also meant fleeing without their clothes on, and all the damage to the bodies is explained by wildlife scavenging. actually a pretty simple explanation.

    None of these seem particularly mysterious, once you know a bit more about the back story. I think a more mysterious item is Gobekli Tepe in southern Turkey. It really breaks a lot of what archeologists thought they knew about early human civilization, and the vast scale as well as what is still to be uncovered (I believe less than 10% of the site has been excavated at this point, though I might be misremembering) is the definition of mysterious. One wonders what else might be out there or, more probably, lost to the sea with the huge sea level rise around that same period.

    It's not St. Elmo's fire It's St. Anthony's fire, a symptom of ergot poisoning which came from consuming contaminated rye. I doubt that this was the cause of the "dancing plague" but we don't know. For all we know the accounts themselves are exaggerated, and the chances of that many people being severely poisoned to such a point aren't very likely. However, in that time period, people were so readily aroused to mass hysteria and superstition that, if it happened at all, the psychiatric hypothesis is far more likely.

    7:00 that jump overboard of all the crew reminds me uncannily of Jonah and the Whale from Scripture. Same thing happens when they believe they are cursed by God and they are actually right and Jonah the only righteous man on board takes the fall as the scapegoat and ironically the story ends worse than it began making me wonder if he will even be in heaven as a faithful under Jesus and first Abrahman under the covenant of more numerous than the stars are your spiritual descendants through belief. Jonah did not want to save the people of Nineveh even though he has the only thing that can. . .faith in the Messiah the Lord of Israel God the Father his eternal son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. He ends up cursing God under a tree that ends up shriveled so there is no shade and Jonah complains over and over and seemingly dies a miserable grumpy old man. . .not exactly like Abraham, so i think he will be in hell instead of heaven but would be glad to be wrong because it shows just how merciful and forgiving the Lord can be as long as you have faith and faith alone in Christ

    • @justinkinsella7212
      @justinkinsella7212 Рік тому

      What most likely happened is she either drowned, and her body washed ashore on an island where it was consumed by coconut crabs, or she made it to an island and died from injury, lack of nourishment or the elements, and again her body was consumed by the coconut crabs and other scavengers. Either way, youre right, she likely got eaten by crabs lol
