Ah this brings back memories. I grew up around there, have been out west for 30 years. I miss those little hidden lakes. Can't say I miss the blackflies though LOL. You can keep those.
That loop is on my regular route to Haliburton from Woodstock area(everything is on the way if you want it to be!) I will need to be checking out some of those camping spots. P.S. the Non alcoholic beer at Lake of Bays brewing is top notch, definitely one of my favorites.
Nice little loop, I’ll have to try to get up there one day. I spent a few labour day weekends with friends up in baysville camping and partying.. festival vibe. Good memories! I do seem to remember a fire tower we climbed up? Is there one around there?
Hey Jeff, yeah that would have been Dorset with the fire tower. That's another amazing place to visit, I hope to get up there and explore some trails this season as well.
Found your channel by accident and love it. I had ordered a Rally up here in the Soo but Honda Canada canceled the 6 they ordered. Now debating 300l or wait for 23 Rally. Keep up the great content!!
I'm in NS and just got the call that my 300L has arrived after waiting for 6 months. I heard that they '22 Rallye's got cancelled for Canada, that's a bummer. My local dealer asked Honda for 40 300Ls and were told they're only getting 12. I was tenth on the list and get mine tomorrow...can't wait.
@@jacobdeslauriers6768 the 300l is also half the price. Superb motorcycle. It doesn't have that 0-100km /hr in 5 seconds feeling, but apart from that its amazing.
Great bike for adventures. Just put in new suspension and this bike is really fun to ride fast two track. Keep up the great content! Btw awesome trails and great campsite! Glad to see someone else into dirt bikes and outdoors. 👍
I know! He knows how to ride! I went middle of the road suspension upgrade. Went with K-Tech razor light rear shock and stiffer fork spring. Only 100 miles on the new setup so far but night and day difference. Not like an advanced setup like on KTM's but it's not that type of bike. It's a dual sport not a high performance Enduro. I'm really liking my 300L. Nice being able to put a ton of miles on it and have a fun adventure.
Well I think folks figured sales tax is much less than dealer fees ,so technically if ur paying 5 or 6k on a decent used bike an cutting out dealer fees ur ahead
92 isn't that bad, that's an average summer day here in Georgia. I still rock full gear in that and hotter. Granted the other drivers where you are at might not be as terrible, lol.
No kidding on marketplace where I live I saw a 2021 crf300l rally for sale at the premium price of 8,200 dollars with 1,500 miles on it. I wonder why it hasn't sold yet lol.
Love the video but, like all videos, the lens on your video camera makes it appear like you are traveling at 80 mph when the reality is you are going about 20 mph. This makes it seem that you could not react quick enough to avoid collision with road/trail hazards. I will be getting an L300 this December and I hope to explore video production of my adventures using a DSLR instead of GoPro hopefully, via lens and slow mo, to get a better feel for my speed
@@uni-byte how do you know what speed he is going other than by looking at what is indicated on the speedometer, which is how I distinguished his speed, from 20 to about 47 mph.
@@charlesludwig9173 So first you said 20mph now you are saying he went 47 mph too .. which kind of agrees with me saying he's doing more than 20. I know this guy. He spent some time living in my home. I know how fast he is. Look at some of his other videos and you too will see how fast he is in the woods. Here he is out for a relaxing cruise with only one hand on the bars a lot of the time. BTW, in answer to your question, I'm watching his speedometer where it shows over 20mph more often than not. 20mph is 32kph, in looking at this video I see no place where he sustains 32kph for any real distance. Like I said, he's going faster than 20mph. A quick question. How far apart are you assuming the poles are? (Yes, I saw your post before you edited it). Maybe when you get your 300 you can come and show him how's it's done.👍
Going to put my (on order) rally to similar use. Seems like a perfect bike for places like this. Mine will live up in Northern Mn which looks a lot like where you're riding here. Same flies! Easier to drop them with an engine. They will follow you all day otherwise. Get the Sawyer repellant lotion folks and at least they probably won't eat you, just drive you nuts by circling your head. (get a glimpse of the swarms that tried to eat my wife and me while we were riding 30 some miles of gravel through the middle of nowhere, bagged up on our recumbent bicycles... ua-cam.com/video/Cf99btclAbg/v-deo.html)
This video is the pinnacle of what I wanna do with my 300L Rally when I get it. Love the video and subbed! Great stuff.
The rally would be great for this!!
I agree. S.C.R. I do enjoy this type of content.

Yeah, just moved back from AB and I can say I miss the lack of bugs out west, lol. But the views here at home definitely hit a bit different.
Nice relaxing ride.
Great that you are making these videos and giving me ideas for new routes to take. I've shared your channel with several friends .
Thanks, appreciate it very much!!
These are some gorgeous roads! And the loon
Can’t wait to see the next project bike…. 🫣

Just looked, it could have been Dorset. Seemed to be close enough that we’d check it out.

XTR 199, sounds like a motorbike 😁
I know the area well, we camp and ride the atvs and KLR650 alot.
is actually nice to listen to you while you ride

Love the content man keep it coming! Love this set of trails out this way. Still debating on the 450 and the 300.
What did you go with I'm probably going with the 300l strictly becuase of the service intervals

What do you use to record your voice and video? IE- what’s your av setup. Really enjoy the channel
Thank you! I use a GoPro Hero 10 with the Media Mod and a Gaming headset microphone I got from amazon.
What lake is that you stopped at? The first one at the fork
Lake Placid
hi, where do you buy your tires?
I'm fortunate enough to work at a dealer so I order my tires direct form my suppliers.
