Die GSX-R600 ist ein indirekter Abkömmling der GSX-R750, mit der sie technisch weitgehend identisch ist. Während die Gemischaufbereitung bei der ersten Modellreihe (1997 bis 2000) mit Vergasern erfolgte, setzte Suzuki ab der zweiten Generation auf eine elektronische Benzineinspritzung.
Angetrieben wird das Motorrad von einem kurzhubig ausgelegten, flüssigkeitsgekühlten Vierzylinder-Reihenmotor mit Vierventil-Technik. Die Ventilsteuerung erfolgt über eine Steuerkette, zwei obenliegende Nockenwellen und Tassenstößel. Die Kraftübertragung erfolgt über eine Mehrscheiben-Ölbadkupplung, ein 6-Gang-Getriebe und eine O-Ring-Kette auf das Hinterrad.
Das Fahrwerk besteht klassenüblich aus einem Leichtmetall-Brückenrahmen, einer Upside-down-Gabel (ab Modelljahr 2004, davor Telegabel) mit 41-mm-Gleitrohren, einer Leichtmetall-Zweiarmschwinge und einem Mono-Federbein. Teleskopgabel und Federbein sind in Federbasis, Druck- und Zugstufendämpfung einstellbar.

After watching Suzuki bikes videos, feels like Yamaha is overrated. Especially considering the frugality of fuel consumption by Suzuki against the guzzling habits of Yamaha vehicles.

I'm sorry, GSXR'S might be underrated, but yamahas are most definitely not overrated. They deserve the praise they get.
I own a GSXR600 L2 2012 4k miles. I use to have a 03 R6. I can safely say the R6 was faster than the gsxr. The GSXR600 is a more comfortable bikes. But it’s just important that you know that R6 is faster stock for stock. R6 makes 127HP/51 torque while my GSXR makes 125HP/50 torque and r6 is lighter

@@Carlos._5.7 Lmao!!! yeah, those numbers are at the CRANK. No 600 is topping the 636's numbers. I'm at 126hp and 52torque TO THE WHEEL...not crank. Kawi's 19-23 ZX6R model is the highest output of Horsepower from any 600. I doubt you did 173mph indicated with stock gearing.

I used to run 160MPH too. After my tune I hit 170
GSX-R1000 L7 stock (Bone stock) = 186 mph
GSX-R1000 L7 stock (Stock but only ECU Flashing speed restrictions) = boom, 200 mph like nothing

My 2011 GSXR 1000 a L1 would easily hit 186MPH and just stay pegged at that speed.

+southwest231 he was right about one thing though, speedos stock tend to be off up to 7 percent because that is all the closer that they legally need to be to accurate and most are initially a little high in reading cuz then a person can't come to them and say they got a speeding ticket because of it reading off. So technically one bike could read 7 percent high and one 7 percent low and be off literally 14 percent from each other and both be within factory specs. Annoying as hell, hence speedohealers and verify ing speed with GPS, etc
