I have to correct you on Property Damage protection. They do offer property damage protection, guests can choose to pay $59 and gives us up to $1,500 damage coverage, or goes as high as $119 for $5k coverage. To me this is better that a Damage deposit, and i have been getting a crazy boost on bookings with this option. Thank you for your video
Thanks for highligting that. Do you know the process to claim from that guest insurance as a host? Last time I had a damage, VRBO customer serivices din't know if the guest had insurance or not and asked me to claim damage deposit instead.
@@STRSpecialist Absolutely, the host has to choose this option in their Calendar settings Damage Protection tab and select the desired “Damage Protection” option…. Once you accept the guest booking request, you immediately get an email from Customer Care, and i will copy and paste the exact message and I will block out any of my information of course; “Your guest has selected Property Damage Protection to safeguard your vacation rental property -[ xxxxxxxx ] Please be advised that the guest/policyholder has assigned potential benefit payments to you. In order to safeguard your right to settle damages covered by Property Damage Protection, we encourage you to file claims within 7 days of discovering the damage. In the event of submitting a claim, please remember to include all documents and photos to expedite claim processing.” The rest of the details on who to reach out to and the amount the guest chose are in the email.
@@STRSpecialist it's with the CSA you can file the claim from the website or from your host dashboard. Property damage protection also a requirement to be on the list to be placed on other sites such as expedia etc
Thank you for this! I just started VRBO and had the mindset that it is automated like Airbnb. I’ve searched UA-cam for how the payment plans work but wasn’t able to find anything. I got frustrated watching 30 minute videos only to not get the info I need. Thank you for covering the topic in a quick and precise way.
Hi We are wondering why VRBO are allowing customers to double book? We are having to refund the customer and also pay the commission charges. How do we contact VRBO to talk to someone about this? Cheers Jim
We have 3 properties booked like crazy on Airbnb at different locations in US but zero from Vrbo after setting it up a month ago. Is this because we force guests to choose an insurance plan they must stay versus a deposit?
But do not stop doing it, to get the insurance, the thing Vrbo do not respond as airbnb for guests damage and the insurance will help you with that.. my only problem with Vrbo is you do not know guests before reviews :(
Good job. My problem is every time i tried to list my property. After few hours they sent me a message that we are unable to list your property on Vrbo and have many reasons such as account history, the property is not meet requirements... There is way I can fix that, please?

What do you do if they say it’s for guest and they show up with double the amount of guest
You ask the guest to leave for breaking your house rules
