Love this rose! I will have to try it! I enjoy using variegated threads in my slo-stitching projects as well as making my own variegation as you have done! I like both of the variations as they look great for different situations! Just depends on the look I am going for! Great tutorial and very informational! Thanks for sharing!
I have stitched with variegated thread and faux variegated thread, depending upon the effect I want. I have used both with various stitches. Thank you for demonstrating the bullion knot rose; I will be adding it to my slow stitching!
I love French knots! It took me years to try a bullion knot but am brave enough to do them now😂 I have used variegated thread but not keen on it but love your idea of making your own colour by mixing different shades of the same colour. Love both roses. Thank you💕
It took me a while to get the hang of French knots, and bullion knots, too! I found it to be about the tension for me... and the right needle (sashiko or milliners, work best for me). Thanks for your comment!
My favorite variegated thread is Wonderfil Perle Cotton size 8. It changes colors about every 3 inches where many threads can go 11 inches before changing! I love this thread for any florals, from french knot clusters, to lazy daisy flowers or leaves. It's fun for blanket stitch edging and concentric circles. I have not used it for bullions yet. Maybe I'll incorporate some in m a bullion rose.
I love using verigated thread. I have also used the technic that you used combining colors. It's very effective. Not sure I have a favorite stitch. There are so many great ones
Daniella, great video. I adore variegated thread. I have the DMC variegated, too. I feel that you really need to use so much to get the effect. So, I’ll use the DMC for large areas to get the full effect. I never thought of using it for a bullion flower. I also make my own colors. Epic video as usual.
Love variegated threads and bullion knots. Thank you for showing this.
Thanks for watching!

I can never get the French knot to look right! I’ve never combined but I have used
I found that the tension and the correct needle helped me (sashiko or milliners)
