i learned switch from the beginning cause ever since i started i played a lot of game of skate and its easy to inflate your basic tricks by just learning them switch
Real actual insights instead of just do it but opposite, appreciate it.
I never skated nollie and switch as a kid, stopped skating at 24. Just got back into it at 38 and have been drilling nollie and switch every session.
Same boat starting back at 35
My people! I messed up as a kid by learning to ride goofy but ollie regular Never could ollie while moving back then so I'm learning both how to ride regular and how to ollie goofy at age 35.
Heck yeah! If you think you hit a wall with skating you should try skating switch for an entire session. Great video.
Thanks for this man. Really helpful
Love switch and love this content!
Another great video Corey
Cool . Very useful. Yeah m getting back on the board. Had to shed some weight but I’m good to go
trick tips on switch and nollie treflips would be dope, also great video 🤙🏻
Jordan Maxham would be great for Nollie Tre
I’d argue that riding switch is equally as important. I was skating switch in transition and, generally, it makes you feel more comfortable.
As uncomfortable as it is, practice switch as much as possible.
I can push switch... that's about it. Always so impresssed to see skaters hit the same move in difference stances.btw just as you said i only learned fakie rock to regular (is it really fakie if my feet are over both tails at once?) was because i was on a mini-ramp and I HAD to do SOMETHING because i was hitting the coping with my front wheels when i came back fakie/switch.
Lol twisted my ankle again recently. Been working on switch for the past few years any time I twist my reg ankle. This was a good review to start my day . I was planning on skating switch and nollie all day due to my ankle. The other locals and I are having a BBQ Halloween skate jam thing at the park today.
I'll be trying this :)
Would be helpful to see the board when you're talking too.
I’ve been watching a lot of great skaters and it’s hard to tell when they’re skating switch sometimes. I restarted my skating recently and have been practicing pushing goofy. It’s like learning how to push all over again. When I was a kid I skated everywhere. Obviously you get fatigued and as a youngin’ I was forced to switch simply because i would get worn out using only regular! Back then I skated both regular and goofy. So I’m getting it back slowly; suppose there’s still some muscle memory from many years back. Great information and skating!
DBC.. Daily Blessings Coming!
Thank You ALL for Skateboarding, Sharing and Everything, Everyday!!
I’m trying to determine what comfort level I should be at before to try switch drop in. I can pump and turn switch, but I’ve been super hesitant to learn drop ins again. Maybe because my switch manuals are pretty garbage compared to regular, so I lack the confidence that I’ll be able to bail.
Let's Go
Doggie keeps a close watch!
Let's go

Should I practice switch with tail as tail, or should I practice with the nose as my tail? most of my boards are not really symmetrical. When I practice switch, I practice skating regular, and also tail as my tail. But, when I skate fakie while on my goofy stance, the nose as my tail feels strange.
I reset my feet pretty fast people don't realise I'm mongo lol, it just works for me I tried pushing normal but feels I can't steer with foot on the front opposed to the rear, I see it as mongo = rear wheel drive regular front wheel drive hhahahha
