This is the annual UAAP Cheerdance Competition in the Philippines. One of the biggest Cheerleading competition composed of 8 Big Universities in the Philippines. The most numerous Championship titles were University of the Philippines (UP) and University of Santo Tomas (UST) with 8 championship titles. Our recent champion was the National University who started to appear in the podium in 2012 and in 8 years, they got 6 Championship titles already. 😊💕
This performance has so much nationalism on it. Some of their formations represent the flag of the country. Their three different costumes in this performance represent the three main islands of the Philippines. And their props at the last part of the routine is all about sarimanok that has a cultural significance in one of the indigenous groups in the country. In this competition, their theme is also about going back to their country after their winning performance a year before this with a Mexican-themed routine.
They are the unbeatable University when it comes to cheerleading. Although for that year, the 2nd place which is FEU came very close for the entertainment factor cause their theme for 2019 is Michael Jackson which is sooo 🔥🔥 Thanks for reacting to this! i love that they incorporated elements of the philippine flag in their routine eg. the sun, the stars, the Y shape divisions of the colors. it is so creative. plus they did some innovative moves. kudos NU pep squad. thanks bubs & doe for the variety of reactions you put out. ❤️❤️❤️

National University Pep Squad or NU Pep Squad is one of the most anticipated schools every UAAP Cheerdance Competition. If I am not mistaken, they are 4-time defending champion in CDC for consecutive years.
National University is one of the best cheerleading teams here in the Philippines. This event is UAAP Cheerdance competition which focus on synchronization and visuals and skills but NCAA and NCC takes these teams to a different level which focuses on proper stunt execution and difficulty. We take cheerleading here in the PH very seriously and having to see my fave duo react to one of the Philippines cheerleading's headshots gives me so much pride. I luv ya both and stay safe. xo 💝🎀
When I was in college my team won cheerleading competition in our province. And our theme : We are Pirates. That was few years before Johnny Deep surfaced in THE PIRATES 🏴☠️ Of The CARIBBEAN. 😂 Watching from Kuwait.
The part 12:45 When they pre-performed it on university's gymnasium.. The third person fails to catch the girl... And at the day of the performance we the student's are really nervous when that part came in... So when the routine became successful we're really happy and celebrated the whole performance of NU Bulldogs!!
