I just barely got my gijoe covergirl classified figurine this morning at gamestop for 24 dollars and 99 cents, i have always wanted cover girl since i was a kid and bingo i got it😊👍
You are not the first video I see where her arm pops off at exactly the same place and mine has that too.

I love the different Artwork. I definitely don't want it to be all uniform. But thats the point of art.

Trying to get some more female Joe's on my team so it's less of a sausage fest and I'm considering this one especially with the announcement of the VAMP today. I have Dusty and his arm is definitely damaged but I can hide it with poses. Hearing that this one had quality control issues makes me hesitant.. and TBH she seems like a contender for worst head sculpt but Falcon definitely got that award on lock.

Agree! The artwork on these boxes is so out of place with the GIJoe aesthetic. It feels so kiddish and animé like. I understand if there was an animated series like that but I am so confused why they decided to use that artwork lol
Cover Girl looks too much like Lady J. She’s way better and more distinctive as a blonde.
That face was so horrible that I went to Ollie's and bought a Grey Black Widow and headswapped them. The Cover Girl looks great now and the now ugly Black Widow I can use as a Villainess Black Widow as there are now dozens of Evil Black Widows.
Cool figure but that box is awful! I never could figure out why they didn’t just use a retro looking box with a classified file card on the back. Seems like common sense.

Im noticing the cycle of cover girl I happened to buy in on has the left loose leg issue. I haven’t had the arm disconnect with this figure but my zarana has the right arm pop off at the swivel joint which is equally frustrating for figures costing so much as is.
I like collecting these series of figures because I did also collect them in their miniature iterations ages ago but it’s a bit of a gamble buying these figures because you don’t always know which has the QC issues and which are sound. So far majority of the male figures I’ve purchased have been solid entirely but I likely haven’t picked up any male figures of the most current wave, I’m catching up.
The other interesting thing I’ve noticed is how much smaller the Scarlett mold is to the later iterations of women figures. Zarana baroness and cover girl are the most noticeable in the build difference to the build they’re using for Scarlett in this series and the origins series
omfg what garbage! im f’ing done with hasbro! even if the arm stays on that is not the kind of experience child or grownup wants to experience. the artwork is “cute”.
Jinx is the 4th in the “big 4” as far as female joes as far as I’m concerned
Gah! This is the 3rd review I have seen where her arms pops off and the 2nd review I have seen where the arm was popped off in the package. That's not looking good for a "your mileage may vary." That's looking like a straight up manufacturing flaw that is systemic. Zarana's arms pop off. I had issues with Dusty's arms and one or two of the Crimson Guard arms....this wave....just has joint issues. Heat doesn't work because one of the primary issues is that the plastic being used is so weak it bends. The only plausible solution that has some success is using Krazy Glue to expand the mushroom on the arm peg.
The box cover art is getting worse and worse.

I’ve seen the arm issue for other reviews of cover girl. I think it must be a common defect as my Zarana figure has the same issue. The arms can easily pop off. They go back in, but it doesn’t take much for them to pop off.
She looks like a young Joan Rivers, look at her, tell me you don’t see it…lol

Same issue with the arm. Bummer! Out of my 38 classifieds, she’s the first to have a QC issue. There’s also some obvious touch up paint areas as well. Fingers crossed for the future!!!

I think that box art is a nod to Tank Girl. As Covergirl is also a tank driver.
Totally with you on the packaging. I don't think the art is bad. That style has become popular in comics for both good and bad. But for this line of figures it just doesn't reflect what's in the package. In general I really prefer the original packing. Even more than I thought I would. Figure itself looks really good. Like the look with her belt holding most of her stuff.
The new joint where the bicep attaches to the shoulder is GARBAGE. Mine was defective on Cover Girl, Zarana and Dusty. Also the new Crimson BAT I got is incredibly floppy all over, but at least his legs were (loosely) attached, unlike one review I saw where the legs just fell out when the reviewer opened the box. Hasbro needs to fix this fast if they want to compete with superior lines like Valaverse Action Force, which has had far fewer defects, has been upfront about them, and has gone way out of their way to make it right with affected buyers.

I've seen lots of arm issues with this Cover Girl, unfortunately, so I don't think it's just you. Love how you handled it though. 😅

Looks like thia is the exact problem that people experienced with Dusty and Zarana. I believe that was a problem specific to one of Hasbro's major production facilities.
I'd rather a joint pop out of socket than break. It's easy to put a lot of force on these joints without realizing it.
I've had 3 or 4 Bludds and 1 has an arm just like Covergirl's. Guess it happens

Mine just came in the mail today I think she’s a great figure I have no problem with her head sculpt at all and all her joints are nice n tight (I have heard people are having problems with loose arms that are fragile guess I lucked out)
The box cover artwork looks like something out of a crappy reboot/remake cartoon that is never going to live up to the original.
I feel like Cover Girl should be blonde. Just because you already have Scarlett the red head and Lady Jaye with brown hair, and Baroness with jet black hair.

My Covergirl had fine arms, though my first Gung Ho had an arm accident.
At least he didnt have another Omega Spawn situation on our hands here. I'm glad to see this one actually worked out.
I look at the collection of figures behind him and I wonder if it becomes an addiction. Collecting is fun but I try to limit it so that I can enjoy and take in the collection that I do have of sports memorabilia. To me, I just see hundreds and hundreds of figures who blend In To other figures. You can't even really tell what you have anymore. This is in no way a knock or putting you down for your collection. Just a different preference in terms of display.
Everyone has an addiction thankfully this is mine as it keeps me sane from my extremely stressful work life. Everyone also enjoys things the way they enjoy them

it could be possible to implant mini magnets on each joint. obviously modding isnt ideal for everyone, but it's an option
you would have to drill into the joint to fit the magnet flush. do the same on the arm and ensure correct polarity
