I've found this series on women in the Bible interesting and eye-opening. It's easy to miss small details that shed light on how to understand these ancient accounts that alter our perception. I had a dream a few days ago where we were touring eastern Canada. On Sunday morning we visited your church. Yes, I know you're in Calgary, dream's don't make sense. And it only took a few days - by public transport!
Junia was great among the Apostles meaning they both were well known and outstanding in their faith and praised by the apostles.. The doubts are she is "relative" of Paul and was in prison with him, a woman in prison with Paul?
Nobody should be confused or justify women pastors by the below scripture passage 👇🏾 “Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.” - Romans 16:7 (KJV) Andronicus and Junia were called "kinsmen." Kinsmen: A male relative
and for the record the word the KJV is translating kinsmen is the word συγγενής which means "belonging to the same people group" see BDAG. This is why most tranlstions render is "fellow Jews" NIV or "fellow Israelites" NRSV or "kinsfolk" NASB.
What does it matter my friend? There were so many women servants and disciples during the Lord's earthly ministry and the early church. The issue is trying to make them apostles and pastors which were not according to scripture truth.
Junias is a man’s name. That’s why Junia was changed to Junias in later editions. The problem is Junias never appears in ancient examples. It was a latter masculine adaptation of the name.
@@yellowblackbird9000 I'm just here to discuss the literature with you. I'm not a religious person. According to the literature what is Christ like is what's rejected by religious people for not following their religious laws. I find no fault with the LGBT whatsoever. What have they done? what say you?
I was preparing sermon on Junia thanks for your encouraging teachings surely we’ll pray for you Amen
Wonderful! Thanks for teaching about her story.
