I've never understood why these view counts etc aren't made available to the audience all the time. In the world of gamers and internet speak everything is in terms of winner vs loser, who's numbers are bigger, so why not make sure the millions of people who watch your content are up to date on your stats for when they talk to other people? *gets off soapbox*
You need to be a fangirl to have some kind of decency? When someone is presenting something to you, the very least you can do to show respect is take the 1 second it takes to put your hands together. There's a lot of money and a lot of audience you can reach with TV that you wouldn't have if you solely stuck to digital. One big thing is reaching audience groups outside their core (which is 20-something tech-savvy men). Not everybody is on the internet all the time or knows how to find RT's content on the internet, but everybody knows how TV works.
