By the way, the “h” in Thai romanisation generally indicates aspiration rather than a diphthong. So “ph” would be a soft “p”, like pillow, and “th” would be a soft “t”, like temple. In the case of Koh Phangan, it would be “pa-ngan”.

if you go back to koh tao it's also really lovely to do a UV-night dive. It's just magical and it feels like your in a completely different world. Good time adventures are a really good dive company as well. and i really recommend getting your rescue diver course. it's just soooo much fun!!!
I love Koh Tao (I think this is probably why youtube suggested your vid). You've made me think that my holiday this year might be another trip back there over the summer! Glad you enjoyed it though and congrats on getting your dive qualification! :)

Congrats on your advanced diver certificate! 🎉 🎉🎉 I had quite the same experience to you on my first night dive, it was kinda scary plus I got sea urchin sting because i descended too fast and it was pitch black. Only did the torch around vertically for some reason (forgot to look down) so I didn’t realize that I had reached at the bottom and suddenly felt pricking on my knee 😅 (even though I wore a 3mm long wetsuit!! it can pierce thru) anyway it was an amazing night I saw reef sharks and many more.
Also I was the same as Matthew at first when I started diving on wearing fins, but later on I appreciated them more, especially when afloat & away from the boat 😌
Have a safe trip back home. Please come back and explore more of Thailand in the future.

Just a quick tip for travellers (and anyone really). There are water refilling stations usually scattered around all over the place to refill your water bottles help save on plastic and it’s only about 10 baht for a few litres! We used to use them often when we lived there as we would fill up 10 litre bottles for the house. X

Nice video 👍🏼👍🏼 if possible, hope u guys can try Phang-nga especially Khaolak, Samed Nangshe. Khaolak was hit hard by Tsunami 🌊on 2004. Go to secret beach 🏖 name Memory beach. It is a great surfing chilled place. Samed-Nangshe is a great view point. Do a wonderful rafting along to review and see rare snakes at Komol‘s Corner Bamboo Rafting.
Not much international UA-camr visit those place yet.

When I read that you went to Koh Tao, I couldn't help but think about some stuff I saw on the Internet about this island. It is in fact known for the mysterious deaths of tourists (most of them coming from the UK) occuring there. That's also how it earned the nickname "death island" 😅...
You can easily find lots of information and UA-cam vidéos about it online !
So that's quite interesring to see what this island looks like IRL !

Koh Tao has the cheapest and best diving schools in the world.

Wehttam is a perculiar fella. You must find it comical travelling with him with his odd habits of sleeping 80% of the time and falling asleep wearing his airpods and with his ipad running in his lap. The fact that he's annoyed at wearing flipflops in the room is bizzare as its so normal and its a new one for me as most people find stuff like snoring or being late annoying But with Wehttam its flipflops lol.
