How the Porsche 919 EVO beat an F1 Car - APEX:60

- The Porsche 919 EVO is one of the fastest cars ever built, full stop. In this EVO trim, there's no racing class to join or event that it's allowed to enter. It's a race car without a race to go to.
Why, then? To see what is possible. To see what a race car can do when you remove the restrictions on power and aerodynamics. We knew it would be quick, after all, LMP (Le Mans Prototype) cars are the fastest closed-wheel racing cars in circuit racing. But we don't think anyone knew what they were capable of when you threw away the rule book.
That's what Porsche did. And the results are mind boggling.

Awesome vid I can watch your content all day long!!
Why the hell so short?
nice video ty
Yeah, I got that car in Real Racing 3, and it's insane to drive. The consensus among the RR3-players is that the 919 sticks to the ground so well that it's like driving a toy car. Even if the real car performance is a fraction of the virtual one's, the real car is a superglued monster.
all that hard work from porsche and in 2020, the GOAT Hammyton got pole running @ 1.41.252 with the closests to him running the 1.41.763
Not really. The 919 evo one shot it while Hamilton took several attempts until he could finally beat it.
Where’s the rest of the video?
I'd love to see Volkswagen I.D. R setting lap time in SPA.
Ладно. Покажите теперь сколько времени нужно Koenigsegg Jesko для того же самого?
Koenisegg jesko won't come close 😂
Except it didnt because that years F1 cars beat its time in Q2 even with light drizzle and engines not even fully turned up
But with a rubbered track wich the 919 evo did not have. Losing more than 30% grip. Would've blown the f1 cars out the park had it not otherwise.
@@Jesko. That's not exactly a great point man. The 919 Evo team got the luxury of choosing the optimal day/conditions/ and time to make their run. F1 did their runs in light drizzle and colder temps. And again the F1 cars weren't even full tilt in Q2 because back then party mode was still legal. The 919 would've been gapped by Force india and Williams
@@SeahawkSTRIKE No the temperature for the race weekend was far more optimal. It's rather simple why it was 0.5 seconds slower than the record and it's simply because it didn't have a rubbered track. It blows the w11 out the water nevermind force India.
@@Jesko. I want you go to back and watch the 2018 qualifying session at Spa and come back here my guy because calling overcast and drizzly conditions ARE NOT OPTIMAL conditions.... ua-cam.com/video/i8ShD-6WCoA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=FORMULA1
Even a rubbered in track can't account for the fact that F1 Q2 qualifying times were significantly faster so you can probably guess that Q3 times in similar conditions would've blown the door off that WEC nonsense. Snippet from the article down here, can't believe I have to do homework for randoms on the internet SMH
"During qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix on August 25th, 2018, three Formula 1 drivers beat the Porsche 919 Evo lap record at Spa. The fastest of the three, Sebastian Vettel, set a time of 1:41.501 during the second round of qualifying in his Ferrari SF71-H-0.199 seconds faster than the 919's fastest time."
