I'm really excited to start pressing flowers! I even got some resin and molds. If I get good enough at it, I want to make floral resin coasters as favors for my wedding in 2022! I'm so pumped for all of this!
I'm an older "Hippi BoHo" grandmother fan! Yes those albums held prescious photos from the 70's. I like seeing the book and album process. There are fleurs hanging in my face everywhere where I walk in Santa Barbara Ca. Can't wait to go for a stroll today! Thank you💝
I just went through all of my family's old photos to scan and preserve them and those photo albums are the worst after they've been sitting in a box for decades. 😂 They do make me nostalgic though.
I just went and bought one of these types of albums at Michael's today! This is a genius idea for storing pressed flowers (and I've also put some feathers I found over the summer in mine).
OMG I grow orchids and love when they come into bloom once a year. With our inspiration, I now can preserve them forever! You are adorable, by the way!!
Can I tell you that I absolutely love you and your husband! You both are so adorable!! You are so beautiful and you are a true artist! I hope you can keep filming for at least the rest of my life. I am 58 so who knows how long that is! Thank you so much!
WOW ❣ What a Great idea and I do have that kinda photo albums so will try this out thanks a bunch 💐💐💐💙💜💙 Heather I can't wait to try this in the spring when going for walks with my dog & hubby ❣💙💜💙🥰🥰🥰
Your energy is so contagious, may you always stay super happy and full of energy! 😊 LOVE not only the flowers but also the idea of putting them in an album like that. Thanks for sharing!!!
I’m watching this way late (5 years late apparently!) And I didn’t sort through all the comments to see if anyone told you what the fluffy seed head thing is already, but it looks exactly like the seed head to my miscanthus grass (I have the variety called morning glory). Thanks for the videos! You’re super fun to watch!!
Hi, I am super mesmerized by the resin crafts I've seen on IG, & I came across your videos in the searches. I'm now such a big fan of yours & the craft! Super excited to be here & can't wait to keep watching! Thank you for all the tips & tricks!
I love you collecion of flowers. Such beautiful choices. I used to hate roses but you just gave me a new appreciation for them. Love the photo book idea. Brilliant.
First, I love these. I used to press flowers LONG ago when we had to do a collection of 30 Texas wildflowers in my biology class. As for the football mum. This is just my guess as to why they're called that, but it is most likely why they are referred by that name. Here in Texas, for our high school football homecoming games, the girls wear "mums". Originally, these were just chrysanthemum brooches, but they've since morphed into gargantuan pieces worn around the neck of the girl because they've become too heavy to wear pinned to her clothes. When I was in high school, the flower was replaced by ribbon bows that resembled a chrysanthemum, and then a small teddy bear would be attached to the center. Hanging down from it would be ribbons in the school's colors and other trinkets. The girl's date would wear a matching, smaller one around his arm. "Mums" would only be worn for football homecoming, and then you'd never see them again for the rest of the year. They were always that style of flower
HEATHER! Guess what...I just found that EXACT photo album at my local goodwill! I couldn’t believe it...same cover..exactly! This summer I’ll be picking lots from my yard and pressing like mad! Love ya! Thanks for the inspiration. 💚
This is absolutely beautiful. I am thinking of making small glass bottles with dried flowers. But seeing how you have stored your flowers, I think I am going to try this methods too. Your flower photo book looks so beautiful.
Love your videos! Your “football mum” is a chrysanthemum beautiful flowers. I like drying my flowers in parchment paper, then pressed in heavy books. It makes them easier to get out.
@@ArtsyMadwoman I've always done that, but if I ever open them, even for a second, the flower deteriorates and starts getting mold right away. Looking forward to seeing how you do it.
You're so adorable. I love the dried flowers! Ive always wanted to make them, now I know some tips and tricks, thank you! Your resin pieces are absolutely gorgeous!
I love watching your videos! I've always dried my flowers just by hanging them in a dark place, now I've started the book ones and I love it just as much!
I am hooked on your amazing chanl!!! I just started resin a few weeka ago and i am hooked..now i am watching all of your dry flowers to use later vids and oh boy another exciti g late night to come....thanks for all you share💞
PLEASE keep on keepin on!! I just found you & have started watching all your videos!! Have you ever successfully done anything with some *Birds of Paradise*!!??!! It’s my favorite flower! 🥰 I never see enough of them! Thanks for taking the time to do your tutorials!! You rock my socks off my dear!!
I wish I had seen this when my bleeding heart was blooming! Will have to wait til next year. Hopefully they will turn out really cool! I am excited to try this! Love watching the whole video! 😍
U can also put flowers in a book with parchment, close, wrap with a heavy duty rubber band, &.........🤯 microwave the whole book for 1 min increments depending on how big and/or moists the flower is. Pressed dried beautiful flowers done in 1 minute (or more)
Been watching these and um so glad I found you. My Papa was a gardener and passed this week and I wanted to keep some of his flowers but never done resin. Super scared to screw it up but she so chill I'm feeling more confident in trying this.
I was bought 6 GIANT the size of my open hand , pink floyd flowers yesterday, from London … the lady said they were from Ecuador so I’ve got them in water and going to press some of them
I can't believe how little time it takes to dry those flowers. I figured it would have taken months to do. THanks so much for so much inspiration and courage to try these.
Snap dragons were my FAVORITE flower as a kid. If you pinch the sides of them they open and close like a mouth lol. I played for hours with them...flower child❤
If you live in the Atlanta area Passion Plants Grow here They Are a round purple flower with a yellow center and they grow passion fruit that you can pick and eat or make juice with the fruit looks like a green egg hanging on the vine. just remember don't pick all of the flowers or no juice.
I totally need to check out my MIL's garden. She has so many pretty flowers and you just made me wanna try to press some. I have tried drying them in the microwave using silica cat litter and that works kinda good on smaller flowers.
I LOVE seeing your dried flowers. I did see my grandmother's dried flowers myself because she did this. I don't know what happened to the book, I'll have to ask my dad. They may have been my great grandmother's.... My favorite were the snapdragons, my favorite flower. I also love purple and white Iris', such gorgeous flowers! I definitely want to see more pressed flowers. I also loved your puffball mum (I like your version of it better, lol)
I just have to say I'm your new no1 fan! I love your videos and think your art is incredible! I've started from your 1st vid and watch them everyday! Keep it going!
Hi You are so lovely and inspiring to watch. I pressed some flowers a few years ago and I store them in a photo album like you. I have found them hard to get off the stick pages so I put paper underneath so they dont stick.
😱What an crazy awesome idea to store your dried flowers!😍 So the sticky sheet won’t hurt them over time??? The dried flowers turned out amazing too! I can’t wait till mine are dried so I can try out my first project (a birthday gift for my daughter and upcoming Mother’s Day gift).
Aww that’s an amazing idea! 🌸💕 The sticky part isn’t super sticky so I don’t think it’ll hurt them. Maybe over time it would but it hasn’t damaged my flowers so far! Let me know how your project comes out! ❤️
I just have to say, I've been wondering what you'd look like without make-up, & here you are all fresh faced & glowing!! You look beautiful with AND without make-up. Beautiful, like your art, & like your personality!!
It's some kind of decorative long pom grass to cover places like banks , small hills, front of porches( my neighbor has it & I asked) but I can't remember what it is called also.♥️
This video was awesome. I'm just curious as to how you get the flowers out of the album without them falling apart? Its a great idea. I just don't want to ruin them trying to get them out lol I am watching as I write this, so if you show that, I just haven't gotten that far yet. Disregard if the video answers.
I love the reveal of the dried flowers, but I Also like seeing the before of the flower to see what it looked like. Instead of recording every time you press, perhaps you could take a before pic to edit into the reveal video. So happy I found your channel!
Michael's does carry those kind of photo albums! They even have the sheets sold separately, if you want to put them in a three ringed binder, instead! :) (which is what I did!)
Totally going to be taking up this hobby. I've pressed flowers for many years but I've never thought to display them in a photo album like that. To bad its getting to Autumn and the flowers are all dying. But thats okay Spring will come again
I love the way you are passionate about resin, you're sooo cool & funny as good way 😍 I see alot of your video shows & love it I adore resin and want to try it & you courage me sooo much and i did it 🎉🎉🎉😍 and waiting 4 results 😍 I'm excited about it 🤩

I think going for walks and pressing wildflowers is how I'm going to get through Covid-19 without losing my mind.
that’s all i did during quarantine 🌸
I added resin to the list💕
I think you just inspired a new hobby. I’ve always loved pretty plants and flower and I used to collect shit like that but always lost them. But then now I’m watching your video! You’re awesome. Thank you for the inspiration :)
Love your videos. Be careful the little bit of moisture under the plastic film could cause mold, and ruin all your lovely work.
I'm in love with how much she loves her flowers
The flower-filled album is art in and of itself. It's beautiful to flip through!

You actually don't want to use parchment paper, the moisture doesn't really have anywhere to go. Use newspaper! 💜

Thank you so much for the video! Wanted to know how long it took and you answered that question.
I absolutely love this! How long did you dry the flowers for? I know it verys for the size but approximately how long?
Just discovered your videos and I love your personality and your crafts! Subscribed. :)
If I was you Heather, I would put some wax paper behind the flowers and petals as they could really stick to the backing and you might destroy the flowers trying to get them out if you leave them in there too long. That’s what I have found with photos I’ve had in an album like that.
You have given me some great ideas. I dry mine in books as well but I stick them between wax or parchment paper. Kisses and well wishes from Toronto ❤❤
Thank You for sharing. Now I have to save and dry my Flowers from my garden💐🤩❤️
I don't think I've commented as of yet, but I am enjoying it just as much as you! You have been coming out with some awesome content 😎❤️
Love your happy energy
Can I do this for scrapbooking and just keep it forever? or would it go bad?!
What do you recommend to hold the flowers in if you don't have a big photo album?
The wispy bush tentacle thing looks like a pampas grass.
Hi! Do you use this process to put dry flowers in resin?
Your awsome!! Have you ever done abunch of fall leafs?? Im currently doing that and Im wondering if they keep their color
I’m currently drying some flowers leaves for a video! I think if you dry them first, they should be okay but I’m testing it now ❤️
