Fantastic podcast ! I am only at 38.27 but REALLY appreciate an "insiders view" on the SAG issues, the future of the Muppets (and agree with Adam that new characters should get a chance!)
Please keep bringing this quality podcast out !
Also, get better soon, Adam !
And, good job, @Cam ! I know you are working hard to keep this podcast going.
I appreciate your hard work !
    Back to the video !

P.s. F*ck A.I. !!!! It steals creative things posted on the internet and regurgitates them for pennies.
As a "part time" sculptor, I don't want my creativity sold for pennies. I work hard to make Art. Why should some company get to STEAL that !?

Just listened to the introduction of "The War on Normal People" by Andrew Yang that Adam suggested.
People are fools to think that things like "truck driving" and similar jobs can be automated. I think that is naive !
I am glad to be at the tail end of my working life. I can't imagine the absolute MESS that will come when folks allow 18 wheelers to be robot driven.
I am working one of those "20 dollar an hour" jobs that Mr. Yang mentions. I am MUCH better at adapting, changing & being efficient than a robot. There are MANY small businesses that won't/can't afford a.i. and they will out perform & outpace the "tech heavy" large companies.
Let's face it, the geeks programming the a.i. have NEVER worked a physical job before, so they are going to have MANY blind spots.
Humans ADAPT. It is what has made us survive.
A.i. might be a force to reckon with in 100 years, BUT you have to learn to walk before you can run. And, I don't see A.I. doing that, yet.
P.s. I live in Massachusetts, and even the "robot dog" that was made by a local company is WAY too loud to be used in the way they designed it for. They built it to carry payload in war. You could hear it half a mile away. One rocket launcher (on a human) and that is neutralized, Pronto.
      Anyhow, back to the video.

I with you. The only thing where I think I disagree (respectfully) is in how long it will take, I don’t think it will be 100 years. I think 10 at most, maybe even 2, and I do feel like we will be at AGI within a year. Once we hit that the growth will be exponential. I’m guessing it will be here before we know it.

Hey. I agree with a lot of this too. I don’t know if I would consider it “stealing” just from the standpoint that it uses data that people freely posted to the internet.
Also, I think it’s going to help a lot of artists. Especially sculptors like yourself. There will be a renaissance for people wanting hand made things.
This is a similar situation that happened even the camera was invented. In the old days, if you wanted a picture of your family, you had to hire an artist to paint a portrait. Artists hated the camera when it came out because they thought people wouldn’t hire them anymore.
Two things happened some people still wanted the hand painted portrait (as many still do today) and it opened up artists to create more of their own work.
This is not the exact same thing, but I think it’s a pretty good analogy for the situation we are in within the art world.
