It warms my heart to see a video like this that proves the existence of close family relationships with relatives other than your grandparents or siblings. Thank you!
Juniper, I came across your note to this sweet video of this lucky girl to be so loved by her uncle, and what’s even sweeter, is the excitement seen in his face to where he is just as excited as her to give her and buy her all the necessary things to make a nice home for her birds. He is a total doll! Did you every get any birds? i have birds and if you ever decide or your family let’s you, i would be glade to help guide you on how to prepare to build a plan of what all you need and picking out the birds, feed, water and food dishes, and how to keep the cage clean so they don’t get any bacteria infections from their own birds droppings. i am a lady who is retired from the Los Angeles Police Department so I am safe to communicate with and i would like to share my pictures of my one cockatoo parrot, 1 English Budgie and an English Budgie is the same bird as the regular parakeet, but they have a bigger head with so many more feathers that you barely see the little cute eyes. They are a little bigger than the overal parakeet, but they are so cute, and i also have a cockatiel that is yellow and 1 finch, which are the tiny birds who squeak more than chirp. They are darling and love to take bathes and if you put a little flat square container, like the plastic lids you get take home food from a restaurant in. Just so it is only an inch or a little more and fill it with water they absolutely go crazy and jump in and flap their little feathers with drops of water flying from their tiny wings. When you have about at least 5-8 finches in a cage together and you have a ladder next to the water dish they will take turns climbing the ladder and one by one, they will jump off and bathe and then the next bird jumps into the water and takes his bathe and then after each gets their bath on their own, they all jump in together and have a grand old time. Then they get out and it’s fun to watch them shack and pick their feathers til they dry. What good about finches are is the average one who doesn’t have the bright colors on them, who a mixture of light brown and white and black speckles on their side feathers are inexpensive. You can find them from $8-15 dollars each. Then later if you want the colored ones which are beautiful, which they are called “Lady Gouldions” who come in all different beautiful colors starting at about $25.00 and up. I would love to help you out if you are still interested and your parents allow it. i don’t know your age, but i think taking care of a pet and you do have to devote time to them to give them the care they deserve, just like we deserve to be cared for by our parents and all our family and friends throughout our lives. So taking on the responsibility of a pet they become a part of you family and some people buy them just because they are cute, but don’t take care of or lose interest in them and they are ignored and that is not fair. i have had cats, dogs, and birds all my life and i treated them well and made sure they had healthy food and never go without water and kept them all til the old age when they passed away. But it taught me at a very young age to respect animals and love them and I just can’t tell you how much joy and happiness they brought me. They are always happy to see you, you can cuddle them and pet them, and they will respond to you any time you want to hold them or play. i could help you and give you advice as to where to find cages, toys, and all you need on line and save alit of money, because pet store charge you top retail and on the internet you can get the same item for half the price. And as far as the birds I can direct you to people i know who breed them and their birds are healthier than pet stores and they get them from people who are not certified in bird breeding and online you can pick and chose because they usually have a variety of each breed. They give you a health certificate that if the bird gets sick you can return and either get another and get your money back, and you don’t want the heartbreak of losing a bird you just got attached to. The people I get my birds from for years and i have nevrr had one get sick and die, i totally trust them and been going to both of them for over 15 years. I live in Los Angeles County and if your interested, I can teach you a lot, i’ve taught a lot of families who had children getting the first pets from cats to birds and the responsibility that goes along with it. i went from budgies to parrots and it took time before i ever owned a parrot because they are considered exotic, like zoo animals, so they have a whole different dispositions than the smaller domestic birds and are a lot more to take on than the smaller domestic birds. You never want to take on a parrot as a first bird because they can be aggressive and bite you and you really need to know the disposition and personality differences between domestic and exotic birds. Here is my email: sheilaethelyn@aol.com and if your young ask your parents about me before you communicate because i don’t want to upset them and get you in trouble. Make sure if you still have those straight wood perches, get rid of them and get natural wood perches, you can buy them or go to your garden and pick out some natural sticks or small branches, and also don’t listen to the pet store workers they barely know anything about birds so make sure to do research about them and also take very good care of them, I hope she loves her new birds and I hope she has an amazing time with them😁
Hey so I just wanted to say that you should probably remove those dowel perches (the straight ones you have in there) because they can cause the birds to get arthritis
ya and that cage is misguided it doesn't fit a conure they need a flight cage and that cage will not big enough for two birds that could probably only fit one bird but still id get a bigger cage especially a flight cage for one bird
I had to take my birds cuttlefish away because he was mating with it😑 Don’t worry! They don’t actually need it in their diet because they should be getting the calcium in their food anyway, it’s just extra and they love nibbling it, just thought it was kinda funny😂

Hi! The birds are absolutely adorable but, you should get them a variety of different perches and a bigger cage. Budgies (that species of parakeet) love to be positioned in room corners because it gives them a scene of security. I would also strictly get natural wood toys and remove the mirror as they can have a negative psychological impact on small birds. That's it :) have a good one!

Hey I would put the cage highers, birds are known for being in high places so they can see from above where their predators are, it'll cause less anxiety. I hope you love the birds!😋
She absolutely did that, the next she got a stand and put the birds higher up and in a nice corner, We appreciate your comment and concern, she certainly was a new bird owner and needed the advice from everyone, even though she did a lot of research before she got them.
I know this is late, but my job is to educate people. The bird cage isn't very big. They also need natural perches, otherwise the bird can get quite sick, and can't walk properly ( arthritis or bumble foot) they need many toys. Mirrors can make the bird hormonal, so It could make them aggressive. Let them them settle in for at least a week, because it's very stressful for them. I would recommend a flight cage, nature natural perches. The diet of the bird should be a mix of fruit, veggies and greens. Seeds only used as a treat.
You should definitely get a bigger cage, preferably one that is already on a stand(they sell lots on eBay and Amazon that are great), I know that cages really have a big impact on your bird’s personality. My bird was in a cage the size of yours and didn’t sing, dance, or like me at all, then I put him in a big cage from eBay. Now he is the happiest bird ever, he sings, dances, flys, and plays with all his toys. I also recommend more natural toys for your bird to engage with, especially some foraging toys. Get natural perches as well to exercise your bird’s feet, dowel perches such as yours will cause arthritis and bumble foot. Another thing I recommend is to get stainless steel bowls since they don’t build bacteria as easily as plastic. All these things will make a great, happy, engaging bird !
Pretty sure a medium sized cage is fine as long as the bird only eats and sleeps there and the rest of the day is around the house, i totally agree on the others points tho
I have to birds so i recommend that The cage is standing a little high in The room and not on The floor because they like to see what you Are doing and they like to see The room❤i saw now that she was gonna set them with the window
I got two budgies because I won my schools academic award. That's the only reason. Plus I could've gotten anything, but because I knew ALOT about birds I got birds.
They also need stainless steel bowls as plastic can grow bacteria, also make sure to feed them “chop” it’s a mix of veggies and fruits blended together. 💙
Hello There I reccomend getting a flight cage for your budgies because that cage is very small for 2 budgies xx If you cant find one in store there are some online
OMG I love budgies I have 2 . 2 things I suggest is to put the cage up high or buy a stand because they thing of other thing of eating them and you should really buy a bigger cage there are 2 and need a lot of room but so cut and lucky!!!
I have two buggies and it is good to put some sand paper in the cage to is super good for there claws and it is ok if they eat it, it is good for their bellies also I love you videos.
BIRDS ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED A FULL SPECTRUM LIGHT! THEY WILL LIVE JUST AS LONG WITHOUT IT. iT IS A SHAM IF YOU THEY TRY TO HARD SELL YOU A LIGHT. JUST PUT THEM NEAR A WINDOW, WITH A COVER OVER PART OF THE CAGE. OUTDOOR SUNLIGHT CAN BURN A BIRD'S EYES, IT'S CERE AND ITS FEET. FORGET THE LIGHT!!
@RobertBellin-j8p Most parrots are tropical creatures. Where I live, we only get 6 hours of daylight in the winter, and it always rains. I want to see my pets' beautiful feather colors, and I don't want her going to bed at 4:30 pm (when it gets dark) before I even get home. Now, if you live in Southern California, Tucson, or Florida, then yes: a window will work fine. Not all of us are as lucky.
I seriously love that you got them a big cage!!! So Responsible 😁 I’ve seen way too many videos of people buying budgies and parakeets for family members and getting super tiny cages 😔
@@yeayeah8321 that's still really big, how much did it cost? It must've been a lot for that size tbh. That's five times the size of a blackbear's shoulder height! Man I wish I had the money to get my birds a cage that big.
Man:( I wish i had a person like you. I wanted a cockatiel or lovebird, but my parents said no the first time. I wanna ask them again but man. Plus two i’m also getting a rlly spacious room. So it’s good for the bird. I’d just like to have someone to bond with or make as a small friend. Maybe in a couple more years or so when i get a small job, i can be able to buy one and take care of it myself.
For a temporary fix on the perches to make them better for your birds (I know this is a year later but still) you can score them with a knife so there are textures for their feet.😃
Aww I’m turning 12 on October 23, which is in 3 days coz today is the 20th. My dad is gonna get me an Apple Watch and I’m so grateful! I wish I had birds I did once but it was when I was a child and when I never researched about them and I had 6 in a tiny cage but I wish I had them again I know so much about them now I have wanted one like for 3 years but I just gave up 🙁🙁
They need much bigger cages and a bird stand for the cage to sit on, they also did natural wood perches to help their feet! And they enrichment toys and shred toys🫶🏾
She wasent even that excited... I'm begging my mom for a budgie and because I've done eight pages of research she said maybe, and I flipped I when in my room and cried I was so happy... you are a great uncle and I'm sure she's grateful but she should of expressed it more

This is so amazing that they got her birds my parents won’t let me get any animal except fish😖☹️
So cool!!!!
Im getting my bird in 3 days and I’m 15 so I feel the same excitement as here
Yeah I just got a parrotlet yesterday and I’m soo happy. I might take it a while for it to get used to you because mine isn’t even used to me.
How was it?
What a nice uncle
So nice of you to say, Thank You.
I got two budgies because I won my schools academic award. That's the only reason. Plus I could've gotten anything, but because I knew ALOT about birds I got birds.
Aww what a sweet uncle!
Wow she dosent look 12
I know, She still looks 5 to me
Jay Gray yep
Jay Gray haha :p
What cool uncle you are mate, buying that for her.. 👍
That's nice my uncle is getting me a budgie for my 12th birthday which is in December 1
Get natural purchase because those are good for the birds
They also need stainless steel bowls as plastic can grow bacteria, also make sure to feed them “chop” it’s a mix of veggies and fruits blended together. 💙
Hello There
I reccomend getting a flight cage for your budgies because that cage is very small for 2 budgies xx
If you cant find one in store there are some online
So sweet
OMG I love budgies I have 2 . 2 things I suggest is to put the cage up high or buy a stand because they thing of other thing of eating them and you should really buy a bigger cage there are 2 and need a lot of room but so cut and lucky!!!
OMG ur sooo lucky I really want a bird :)
I have two buggies and it is good to put some sand paper in the cage to is super good for there claws and it is ok if they eat it, it is good for their bellies also I love you videos.
What is really nice is to put a full spectrum aquarium light on top of their cage.
“You want like hippie birds” best part of the video
am also getting Parakeet's for my 12 birthday
I got one for my 14th birthday
I might get a parakeet
Birds fear low areas like the floor due to preditors... neither do they like sitting near the bottom of the cage
Enjoy
I seriously love that you got them a big cage!!! So Responsible 😁 I’ve seen way too many videos of people buying budgies and parakeets for family members and getting super tiny cages 😔
That part's good, but she needs a cage stand because birds can't live on the floor
Pink Fluffy Narwhals my cage is bigger 3feet big and 40 meter long !
@@yeayeah8321 Are you sure you mean 40 metres? That's nearly as tall as the statue of liberty!! Lucky budgies 😂😂
Mimi Loves-Budgies I mean 5 meters
Autocorrect sucks
Her birthday is the same birthday as me
For a temporary fix on the perches to make them better for your birds (I know this is a year later but still) you can score them with a knife so there are textures for their feet.😃
Finally someone who gets the cage first before the bird
Aww I’m turning 12 on October 23, which is in 3 days coz today is the 20th. My dad is gonna get me an Apple Watch and I’m so grateful! I’ve wanted a bird since I was ,like, 6 or 7, but I’ve never told my parents. I want a bird more than a watch.. but I’m still happy for the watch, don’t get me wrong! I’m not a brat.. -w-“.. Hopefully one day I can tell them.. I’ve done my research for years so yea.. Anyways happy belated birthday to her! Your the best uncle! =D
aw have you gotten a bird yet?
Dang time has flown by. I cannot believe I used to write like this, smh. Anyways,
Update: I got the watch, still no bird. HOWEVER, I FINALLY asked my parents after all these years, and they sort of agreed.
I’m getting a budgie soon for an early Easter present!!!!!!!!! It’s going to be my first ever budgie and I’m SOOO impatient lollll
BUDGIES ARE NOT EASTER PRESENTS
And living parrots arent gifts
Just be careful because they bond more with each other than you. That’s what happened to me with my 4
Well that's not always true I have two parakeets and they are super bonded me
thats not a bad thing if they bond
those are probably mates
Great video
lol i am 12 and my bird collection costs £900 about $1000 USD one is an amazon and one is a conure i am training the amazon to free fly
6:30 that's so cool
Me singing happy birthday in my head
Best uncle ever
also i recommend flat perches and those bird baths
That the same cage i have omg
she looks 15!
make sure to give it lots of veggies and a little fruit occasonally also take it out every day for a few hours WITH YOU IN THE ROOM. happy birthday
I'm 12 and I have three parakeet, one male two females but im getting one more male
I wish I had birds I did once but it was when I was a child and when I never researched about them and I had 6 in a tiny cage but I wish I had them again I know so much about them now I have wanted one like for 3 years but I just gave up 🙁🙁
You have the same cage as my Pineapple Green Cheek Conure
They need much bigger cages and a bird stand for the cage to sit on, they also did natural wood perches to help their feet! And they enrichment toys and shred toys🫶🏾
She wasent even that excited... I'm begging my mom for a budgie and because I've done eight pages of research she said maybe, and I flipped I when in my room and cried I was so happy... you are a great uncle and I'm sure she's grateful but she should of expressed it more
💜💜
U should go on amazon and get a flight cage might be pricey but it is better for them. Also get different wood perches. And give them lots of veggies
If you go to a store just for birds you might/need natural wood perches because it's good for your bird
She doesn't look twelve do maybe 2020 now she's 13 looks 18 or 20
The cold breeze doesnt matter I have my two budgies outside and there fine they are wild birds there supposed to be outside
MaLaKa_YT bitch the cold breeze can kill them budgies are In Africa and it is hot there
Ryan Bittner And the Siberian service dog there not only in Africa shut the fuck up bitch don’t tell me how o tra my bird have a budge and he’s fine outside and if he wasn’t he wouldn’t be safe and tamed with me
Those mutations are super pretty color combinations. My five parakeets are all solid colors. They're all males. The oldest is yellow. The second oldest is blue. The middle child is blue. The second youngest is green. And the youngest is teal
I just lost my hamster too!! And i'm gatting a bitd for my b-day too!! This is crazy
@iHeartHammies - Roblox what the hell is wrong with you if you can't take care of a hamster don't get one you say "they kept dying" as if it's normal absolutely disgusting!!
@iHeartHammies - Roblox you said your hamsters kept dying what's the point of getting a hamster if you cant take care of it it's a living animal!!!
hello and nice video but I do recommend getting your birds natural wood perches, a proper diet of fresh vegetables, I would also recommend getting a big flight cage for your two lovely Budgerigars/Parakeets, please watch one of my bird Related videos to see my cockatiels’ cage in which would also be a proper flight cage for parakeets. Psittacidaes (Parrots) need to shred things in order to entertain, forage, and sustain a healthy beak so I recommend getting your birds foraging and shredding toys :)
For much more detailed information about parrots please watch UA-camrs like ElleAndTheBirds and Marlene Mcohen for info about birds. Thank you so much for reading, good luck with your birds and stay safe! :D
@Kaid Bunny Disc Golf no problem!
😊👍
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi! Just some tips, parakeets need pellets, seeds, and vegetables everyday! They also need to have their cage be in a bit higher place, because they like to see the whole room!
Are you sure she is 12? She looks like she is 14 and I still look like a 10 yr old lol
