Hi Blake, Why do you buff a bat when finishing? Is it to improve the appearance of the willow or is there a durability / performance gain from buffing a bat before applying stickers?
he basically polishes the bat just like others to maintain that shine.that wax also protects the bat from getting dirty

What is that process you did with the stick thingy on the edges aroud 12:20 ?
I believe it is called boning, the rod is probably coated in bat wax or some along those lines and the rod is pressed firmly along the edges. It is to round the edges so that they do not break or crack when the bat is used in game/trainings.
It is used to make the edges blunt so that when the ball Nick's there will be no damge to the bat
