  • Hey Gang,
I had an opportunity to connect with an old friend and former colleague, Eric Gaddy, to discuss his new book, Retire Early 365. I get a lot of questions about how I "retired" at age 41. Although there is no "one size fits all" approach, there are universal items that need to be addressed by anyone that wants to make it happen. I think Eric has done a fantastic job addressing those items using his D.I.A.L. system.
If you're interested in learning more please watch the video and visit the links below. I see a real benefit using this system and I hope it helps to inspire others to follow their passions and start the next chapter of real FREEDOM in their lives.
I boosted the audio as much as I could in this video. I hope you can hear us okay.

Freedom from debt will make you feel like you are retired. I was so convinced that “toys” made my life better, that I locked myself into debt prison by having to work so hard to pay for boats, motorcycles, campers and four wheelers, that there was absolutely no time left to enjoy them and when I did get a moment to, I was to exhausted. I didn’t begin living until I got rid of all that, payed my house and vehicle off, and could stand up and take a deep breath of real freedom. There are so many entities that push us into the abyss of debt slavery that it takes a monumental moment of clarity to step back from your life and recognize that. Kudos to you both for trying to help people see that they give up life when they step into the trap of debt and borrowing.

Ditto and did the reset when I was 40, switched gears and did what I loved. Debt free and loving it!

Funny I moved to Arden in 2012 and my cousin hooked me up with a temporary agency til I could find more permanent work. A family emergency came up and she had to move back home, and i said well hell all i have to do is moved to city where temp work is available and i could just travel all over. that's when i realized it was about lifestyle changes. I'm working toward my freedom goals to this day. I've lived in the different states since then.

I just quit my job back in June. I'm 53 and trying to get this early retirement thing figured out. I know I can make it work but it can be scary after doing the same thing for 34 yrs. and having the security of a steady income and health insurance. But the longer I worked the insurance premiums increased and the wages not so much. And I found myself not being happy at all. I'm pretty much debt free just have monthly utility bills so think I can do this with the help of God and prayers from everyone. Thanks Tommy for the video God bless you and keep up the good work. And keep us updated on how things are going on the homestead.

Leaving the country would be wrong. If you don't like it change it.

Yes there's a lot more to life than working yourself to death for money and the latest and greatest in material things .
