People are delusional, one bad season and all of a sudden things aren’t acceptable? Erik Ten Hag was dealing with all the situations within the club by himself. Now he has a team above him he can hopefully perform better. Other managers haven’t had their whole back line gone throughout the season and still done good.

No director of football, an interim CEO, no technical director, all the other managers he’s compared with have those at their club and more. He’s had to deal with Ronaldo, Sancho, Rashford, Casemiro, he’s had to fix Garnacho’s attitude, he’s trying to change the culture as a whole, which fans wanted anyway but are impatient with the process.

He brought in his players like Antony, Malacia, Onana etc so he can’t complain about not being given chance to buy players. The identity of the team and style of play on the pitch is the manager’s job, not board room staff’s. You can win or lose that’s fine, but you have to have an identity, a system. It is sad that Man Utd has fallen to such levels. If this happened at Real Madrid, Barcelona etc, he would have been long gone. This is not a government job where it doesn’t matter how you perform, you will be given all the time you like. He should have been sacked if Manu Utd wanted success. But they want continuity of mediocrity.

We had provably more injuries than everyone else in the league, but after his first season ETH deserves a 3rd. Depends on the transfer window, but I think we finish above Villa and hopefully in the top 4

From a non Man U looking from the outside, he has won two trophies during his tenure. Admittedly 8th is way below Man U’s standards. However, he was right on Ronaldo, Rashford and Sancho.
