Oh my gosh, Voco totally budget Andaz! I stayed at the one in St Augustine one of the (oldest cities in the US) and it was …well…yeah. Ok. I do reviews about hotels from a picky perspective, but spoiler: not really a Voco fan from what I’ve seen. Andaz can be cool but it’s no Ritz 😂 like your reviews a lot. Hope you go to Maui in Hawaii to review b there!
Would love to get some Hawaii hotel reviews done eventually! For now, though, the focus is more on Asia, Middle East and a bit of Europe. Got a couple nice properties lined up, so stay tuned for that!
I stayed iat the voco Osaka and it was nice. Room size was ok for Japanese standards. Breakfast was included for me as well but nothing to write home about (after a week at an InterContinental in Tokyo it could not measure up to). The voco brand is a nice option if you don't want to stay in a Holiday Inn. Prefer Hotel Indigo to voco but was thinking of maybe trying the new voco in Myeongdong. That has also a Club Lounge
Oh, I didn’t know that some Voco hotels come with a club lounge. That might be worth exploring. For me, the breakfast really was what dragged down the overall experience. The rooms where absolutely fine
Hey Robert, fair point. Ultimately, this review is only one data point so there‘s always a chance that I went there when the hotel had a bad day. Of course, all of us have different preferences on things like service, room, breakfast, etc.
@@robertyue7017 its a discerning review. Who wants to hear that everything is just great? Not anyone who travels a lot and is looking for exceptional experiences

@@unmatchedvoyages only a handful of voco have club lounges. There is one in Singapore as well.
Most reviews on line are really good. I disagree with your review but to each his own.

@@unmatchedvoyages some people are less discerning. I appreciate the honest reviews from people who are well traveled
