Amazing car!! I’ve got a F56 cooper S stage 1 tuned to 285hp and 440nm it’s a handful to drive but I absolutely love it, it’s also crazily fast!! Rolling races I beat S3, Golf R’s etc etc with proof. I agree people who don’t rate minis have never ever driven a mini!! I hated minis until I drove one now I’ve had 2 and I can’t see me getting any other car other than a mini for years to come!!
I test drove this car a few years ago (2017), I was in the process of ordering one - my car would've been 006. I've had the opportunity to drive lots of cars in my life but this thing was insane, such a unique experience and so fun! Unfortunately, I never went ahead with the car as it was just a bit too much money at the time. But here I am, all these years later, owner of a Cayman GTS, yet watching a video on the Mulgari... just shows the impression this car left on me! Great video!
You probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Yehuda Franklin I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
What a beast! I would have kept that War Bird wrap for sure 😁 I agree with what you were saying about people not “getting” Mini. It’s still got a wheel in each corner with minimal overhang which is why it handles so well. Whenever I ask boring detractors online if they’ve actually driven one I never get a response...
It is awesome that a company like Mulgari exists to show the world the extreme potential of these wonderful little cars! I absolutely love the Mulgari MINIs and would purchase one if I fall into a fortune. Thanks for sharing your experience!
“I’ve got some major stiffening going on under here” 09.23 - steady Pete... 🤭 Great car, another one with a great backstory and another great review Sir.
That is an iconic R56 no doubt and I like the idea of stripping all the stickers off it and leaving it to be the sleeping icon 👍🏻. Thx 🙏🏻 to Allan for letting Sir Ped , give it a good old shakedown !!! Cheers 🍻🇨🇦
I was introduced to the modern Mini by my wife, she's had 4 coopers and I have to say while she's now in an Evoque, we both miss the mini. Great fun, decent quality, great dynamics, comfortable even for me at 6'4" and big build. My wife 5'1" and size 6-8. I think when the Evoque goes back, she will revert to Mini but I hope to get her into a slightly warmer version. We didn't see the Pete facial expressions we have seen in other cars but maybe that's because you know Mini's..... Great reviews and content as always.
Dang Sir Pete that music that played when u we’re showing the car from all different angles was fantastic for this car!! It fit so well! What a mini monster! Great review Sir Pete.
It certainly has an aggressive front end! Sounds really nice. The Mrs wants a JCW next! She has a 65 plate Cooper D at the moment which is still a great car to drive. If I drive it, I go straight to the switch for full go kart mode!
As someone who has come from a slew of performance rwd cars Mercedes, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Porsche.. I decided to dip my toe into the world of Mini's based on a recommendation from a friend whose opinion I respect. I can't see myself going back, I've got a F56 Cooper S and it's just an absolute riot and the running costs are low, the after market is enormous. I got an absolute slaughtering from friends on Facebook (not that I care) when I bought the Mini and have any of them driven one? Nope.
Going with John below I love WWII warbirds and I guess the motif here is the Curtiss Kittyhawk. Not sure on this one though but only on the teeth at the front. I totally love the colour and with the performance, a clean front end would make it the ultimate stealth mini. However, my comment is just me and totally subjective. Total power to the owner👍 once again, super content.
Its sade That you left Mini.. i have a mini jcw and a Porsche 981. Awsome Cars With lot of soul and different character. Lovet to have them in The same garage
drove the icon 2 in april 2019. its an epic car, had an hour drive around bracknell at there old premises now. great customer servce and they knew i was driving over 200 miles to see the car in the metal and treated me like a vip for the day. nothing like a jcw, these are something else and handle really well.I remember mentioning mulgari to you last year. not sure if you mentioned but, the icon 02 mini also has a full carbon fibre splitter thats painted matt black to match the rest of the trim.
Peter you are very excitable about Mini`s but we get it, they are a different breed to the mini`s of yore. However, dare I mention the Monte Carlo rallies of the past and Paddy Hopkirk, they at the time were unbeatable until 4 wheel drives appeared. It says a lot for Mulgari to develop a class of Mini and spend such a lot on research and development but you now have an exciting set of cars for the future until electric rears its head!!!
Pete, mini released 50 very special JCW Challenge cars in 2017. The were a road going version of the Challenge race car.... you need to get behind the wheel of one of those buddy...and preferably one with a cheeky remap. (Not to be confused with the Cooper S 210 Challenge edition!)
When you say Mulgari aren’t what they were when they made this badboy...? They still exist though, don’t they? Love the stance and the front splitter. Would love an icon 02 tbh. I do consider them the ultimate F56.
Mulgari no longer exist in this format. One of their technicians has bought the right to use the name and is starting again from scratch......so no more ICONS and complete cars any more......what a waste! 🙁😡
Evening Pete, love the vid. Must confess I've never heard of the Mulgari Icon 2, but now I have I want it lol. Absolutely loved the original warbird wrap, I'd never have removed it 😔. Stunning car inside and out, you should have shown the engine though. Love to see the flamethrower exhaust at night time 😁. Take care mate, see you in 12 days hopefully if no lockdown happens 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏁
Truly amazing mini. Thank you for this wonderful insight into minis we would not ever have access to. I hope you get to the 100k subscription level so soon. All my best wishes to you and your family and the pupps.
Hi Ped great video. Which is better, this one or the 400bhp one you drove the other week If you were spending your money on one which would it be Cheers Mark
Quite a car.You must a jar of brave pills handy to go out in that one.Really liked the old mini, still to drive a new one.Great vid again.Keep them coming.
Hi Ped I know you love Mini’s but another one in the garage I think would be a step to far even for TG🤭 Change of subject where are the Pups, getting withdrawal symptoms, time for another walk before we lose the good weather.☹️
You make it so difficult! I'm nearly at the point of buying a second hand TTS after a year of considering and now you make me doubt again to go for a mini as daily. Clubman JCW is way to expensive but a 3 doors mini....hmmm
I had the same dilemma ( although TT tdi and not TTS ) . After driving the Audi and then driving the Mini SD , I went for the Mini . The TT is lovely to look at and I wouldn’t be disappointed if I owned one as a second car , however , for out and out fun , the Mini wins hands down .
Great video, quite and extreme Mini that one! I love the shark one vinyl, it amazes me more car manufacturers don't dechrome as almost every car I can think of looks better without the chrome. Audi offer black trim as an expensive option on many of their cars, but the cost seems a bit silly to me.
Well you certainly enjoyed that one! Whilst I fully understand the “Warbirds”wrap, I would leave off the teeth and roof job!...it would be much more “reserved” and understated which I like. So...a car best not to own unless you are on good terms with your local speed camera man!!..did you spot the patrol car passing by early on?? Stay safe! 😎😎😎😎😎😎Richard.
This is just my opinion, bit late to this party. I own an F56 JCW but still think £75,000 for a mini is way to expensive. Could get a lot of other amazing cars for similar price, especially considering it ‘only’ puts out 320 ‘ish’ hp
Hi Pete, great mini but I would still have the lotus you reviewed the other day. I think it sounded more raucous and loud. Just to let you know I’ve got absolutely nothing against a mini I passed my test in one.plus owned 2 old style match box size. If you see one on the motorway they look so tiny.especially next to a juggernaut.😃
Not at all being a F56 owner I don’t want to take that round the North Coast 500 up here in Scotland.......nope, no. 🤔 Ok I may be lying and I drive like a nun and I’m thinking “ Oh yes”
Looks so cool Pete don’t like the teeth at the front but everything else mint Through watching your channel through lock down ended up getting my wife Tracy a Mini Paceman she loves it was gone get the countryman but this is Miles better

It’s definitely on my top 5 want list 👍
Most people who bag Minis or Mx5s either haven't driven one, or can't drive anyway.
Mad car. I like it!
Spot on Gavin 👍👍🏁
You probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Ronan Zaid instablaster :)
@Yehuda Franklin I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Yehuda Franklin it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
What a beast! I would have kept that War Bird wrap for sure 😁 I agree with what you were saying about people not “getting” Mini. Spitfire yup! And I’m American 72 yrs young.😂👍🏿what could he do to my Countryman wow! Loved it
“I’ve got some major stiffening going on under here” 09.23 - steady Pete... 🤭 Great car, another one with a great backstory and another great review Sir.
What a weapon that is, and you are correct that people that have never driven a MINI really need to get behind the wheel of one and enjoy the fun 🤩
That is an iconic R56 no doubt and I like the idea of stripping all the stickers off it and leaving it to be the sleeping icon 👍🏻. Thx 🙏🏻 to Allan for letting Sir Ped , give it a good old shakedown !!! Cheers 🍻🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Stunning car. Warbird indeed when the exhaust pops it sounds like a rifle report!
Great vid. Still love your enthusiasm 😁👍 Ohh. I would like to know more about the technical stuff they have done to the prototype....
I was introduced to the modern Mini by my wife, she's had 4 coopers and I have to say while she's now in an Evoque, we both miss the mini.

The teeth took me back 50+ years when I bought Kittihawk WW2 model aircraft from Airfix. I really like the interior of that Mini!
Cheers Brian 👍
Great paint/wrap on that wicked Mini. Liked the full on version!
Love that. Such an awesome car. Really liked the wrap. Nice one for sure.
Kudos to the lady who drives it daily. That ride would drive me mad. Please don't judge me but I do like the Cooper SD Auto.
Not a modern mini fan but that one quick mini & lovely interior work 👌🏻. Carry on the cracking uploads 👍🏻
With the complete wrap it made a lot more sense 😎
What an absolutely awesome video!! Best one yet!!👍🏻
Wow thanks 👍
Another enjoyable Video 😜 Review. One of best looking MINI concept's that has being tested on the roads
As someone who has come from a slew of performance rwd cars Mercedes, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Porsche.. I decided to dip my toe into the world of Mini's based on a recommendation from a friend whose opinion I respect.

Indeed. They are great things to drive 👍
Wow that thing is sick! You should take some of what they did on that and put it on your clubman
Brilliant video of a brilliant car! Love its looks and another great Mini!
Very cool mini the ultimate pocket rocket. Excellent video Pete well done maybe get it on track some day ? Cheers Dave from downunder DFDU 😎
Its sade That you left Mini.. i have a mini jcw and a Porsche 981.
Awsome Cars With lot of soul and different character.

I haven’t left Mini. The Clubman may have gone but I still have the JCW Roadster 👍
drove the icon 2 in april 2019. its an epic car, had an hour drive around bracknell at there old premises now. great customer servce and they knew i was driving over 200 miles to see the car in the metal and treated me like a vip for the day. nothing like a jcw, these are something else and handle really well.I remember mentioning mulgari to you last year. not sure if you mentioned but, the icon 02 mini also has a full carbon fibre splitter thats painted matt black to match the rest of the trim.

That’s it fetch me cloth, bloody drooling 🤤 again lol 😝. What an epic Mini, just awesome 😎 to the next level. Nice one ☝️ Pete, 💋
LOL 😂

I have driven a PH Mini on the channel 👍
I think If my MINI went like that I'd have some major stiffening going on down there as well!!!
😂😂😂
Pete, mini released 50 very special JCW Challenge cars in 2017. The were a road going version of the Challenge race car.... you need to get behind the wheel of one of those buddy...and preferably one with a cheeky remap.
(Not to be confused with the Cooper S 210 Challenge edition!)
I agree
That mini makes my R56 JCW 2010 look like a model T Ford👍
Think of my poor R53 🤣 it's like a penny farthing in comparison 😢
just to add, the cars sold to the public were 280bhp as you mentioned but, mulgari also offered the 310bhp upgrade.
Yep 👍
Hello pal. Love anything that spits fire, hell yes. Lovely car.
Great interior.
7min 15s, 'Enough Torque-ing'.
Get it?
See what you did there 👍
As a lover of old aeroplanes I highly approve of the Flying Tiger's teeth. And yup you're slowly winning me over to the modern Mini :)
Great 👍
The Puts colour puts me in mind of the r56 WC50
Great mini 👍❤🙂.
That pull away from camera car looked awesome at the end 18.55 wow 😯
Well done PP
Love the statement the teeth is giving!! Also, where can I get that decal above the exhaust? "It's so anti social...." 🤣🤣
That was a custom design but you might find similar online 😂
I wish we had things like this in the USA.
Gotta love a Mad Mini 😍
Great video Pete got to love a fast mini. 👍🚙🔥
Oh yes 👍
What a car just love it 😊
Awesome mini pete, maybe bmw should have maybe made the jcw s,to that spec, who knows ,was that particular model 2litre engine,
Drive safe,
When you say Mulgari aren’t what they were when they made this badboy...? They still exist though, don’t they?
Love the stance and the front splitter. Would love an icon 02 tbh. I do consider them the ultimate F56.

@@ruttboy dang! Didn’t know that, when did that happen!? Would have loved an icon02.
Tom Maxwell , they closed in March, and it wasn’t Covid related.....🙁
Great noise the little beast makes. I would think a drop-top would make the noise far more...symphonic?
Evening Pete, love the vid. Must confess I've never heard of the Mulgari Icon 2, but now I have I want it lol. Absolutely loved the original warbird wrap, I'd never have removed it 😔. Stunning car inside and out, you should have shown the engine though. Love to see the flamethrower exhaust at night time 😁. Engine looked totally stock and pretty boring 😜
@@PetrolPed
I'm not convinced 🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏁
There is nothing in this world like a middle-aged man saying _trés rapide_ - in a northern accent - to adroitely convey the speed of a vehicle. ✌️😎
I do actually speak French 😂😂😂
It's awesome, brother. Top cars, top videos! 👍😎👌
Great video Pete, would love to make my jcw into an icon 2🙌
Whoa ..that is cool 🖤
Mental! But oh what fun! I love the fact that Warbirds is Alan’s wife’s daily too 💪🚗🤩
I met her yesterday and she loves that car so much 👏👏👏
Now that’s very cool 👍🏻
Truly amazing mini. Thank you for this wonderful insight into minis we would not ever have access to.
I hope you get to the 100k subscription level so soon. All my best wishes to you and your family and the pupps.
Thanks Peter. I’ll keep pushing 👍
Awesome, but makes me think about getting some tuning on my F 56 LCI JCW .... it doesn’t need it, but what does that matter 😜
Evening all! Looks mean! Love the wheels!
Hi from 🇨🇦
Loved this Ped, so much I want to buy a mini! JCW Clubman, manual box please!
You won’t get one of those in the 306bhp variant sadly. You’ll need to go older. Pre 2019 👍
@@PetrolPed started looking already! Thanks for the reply, loving your Mini stuff.
Brilliant car... I wanted a peek under the bonnet 😩. Sounded amazing. Thanks for a great video.
Totally standard 👍
With flames..... standard 🤣
Hi Ped great video. Which is better, this one or the 400bhp one you drove the other week
If you were spending your money on one which would it be
Cheers Mark
I'd still have the Lohen one over this 👍👍👍🏁
This was much easier to live with but Chilli would be the track day choice 👍
awesome car, should have kept the full wrap
Quite a car.You must a jar of brave pills handy to go out in that one.Really liked the old mini, still to drive a new one.Great vid again.Keep them coming.
Will do 👍
Hi Pete
Love everything about the mini must be great fun to drive
It’s just the teeth of the front not for me mate 👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing car that Peter love that
It was mega 👍
Great video Ped 👍
Thanks Craig 👍
Hi Ped
I know you love Mini’s but another one in the garage I think would be a step to far even for TG🤭 Change of subject where are the Pups, getting withdrawal symptoms, time for another walk before we lose the good weather.☹️
I get them in the next one 👍
It's an A10 Warthog..! And they both go Brrrt...
Sound is absolutely awesome 😎
Yep 👍
You make it so difficult! I'm nearly at the point of buying a second hand TTS after a year of considering and now you make me doubt again to go for a mini as daily. Clubman JCW is way to expensive but a 3 doors mini....hmmm
3 door and a cheeky tune 🤔😂😂

I’ve got a black edition S4...looks so much better 👍
What's the suspension setup?
Well you certainly enjoyed that one! Whilst I fully understand the “Warbirds”wrap, I would leave off the teeth and roof job!...it would be much more “reserved” and understated which I like. So...a car best not to own unless you are on good terms with your local speed camera man!!..did you spot the patrol car passing by early on?? Stay safe! 😎😎😎😎😎😎Richard.
It went past it much faster later on 😳
Its like the great TG said before you can have lots of HP but if it isn't put to the ground its waisted.
Really cool
This is just my opinion, bit late to this party. I own an F56 JCW but still think £75,000 for a mini is way to expensive. Could get a lot of other amazing cars for similar price, especially considering it ‘only’ puts out 320 ‘ish’ hp
This car cost £75k to develop. The actual ICON2 was much less than that when sold 👍
I'm not that interested in Mini's but keep watching your vlogs on the subject 🤣
👍😂😂
Sounds like you enjoyed that very much Pete 😃another cracking Video 👍
Sure did 👍
That wrap is SO damn cool, any idea where is was done? I'd love that roof wrap at some point!
Not sure but can find out 👍
Hi Pete, great mini but I would still have the lotus you reviewed the other day. I think it sounded more raucous and loud. Just to let you know I’ve got absolutely nothing against a mini I passed my test in one.plus owned 2 old style match box size. If you see one on the motorway they look so tiny.especially next to a juggernaut.😃
Give me a mini jcw over a golf R any day just fantastic
Yep 👍
Great review Pete. But then I would think so as the owner of the last customer car (or maybe not......)
Glad you’ve still got it and enjoying it Colin! 👍👍
You lucky man 👏👏👏
Cracking mini but I'd have to lose the teeth. Controversial I know. Great vid.
Not at all being a F56 owner I don’t want to take that round the North Coast 500 up here in Scotland.......nope, no. 🤔 Ok I may be lying and I drive like a nun and I’m thinking “ Oh yes”
I got tired of the unreliability with the mini stuff. So we k20 swapped our r55 clubman. Now making 450whp so much better
Not a mini fan but nice bit of kit
Looks so cool Pete don’t like the teeth at the front but everything else mint
Through watching your channel through lock down ended up getting my wife
Tracy a Mini Paceman she loves it was gone get the countryman but this is
Miles better
It happend to me as well! We got a Cooper S ..... blame Pete totally 🤣
Great to hear 👍
😂😂😂
If that's your friend's wife's daily, what on Earth is HE driving?!!
A spitfire? ;)
A Jannarelly Design 1 👏👏👏
Petrol Ped 😂😂😂
Nice!
Wow. That’s um… different.
Great vid ! I live in Atlantic Canada cheers have a 2010 Cooper S would have loved to see you open the Bonnet and have a boo at the motor
It looks bog standard which is why I didn’t 😜
Does this car have an OEM BMW LSD? Or does it use some sort of electronic braking to control torque steer?
I was surprised to hear you say that it corners under power better than Ruby if it exhibits as much torque steer as you experienced under straight line acceleration. (I could see you fighting the steering wheel as you laid into the throttle.)
The way this car corners with a standard diff is pure witchcraft 🤷♂️
Those performance figures should have come straight from the factory.
Yep 👍
Love the colour of the car but the teeth aren't for me. Sounds and goes great in sport mode 👍
Despite the prize from this car 🚙 the way You comment and react to it makes any petrol head would buy it straight away 😎
Hard not to as it was epic 👍
Hi Peter the warbird must surely have an LSD fitted that it's not troubled by chronic understeer or torque steer.
Nope. Standard diff but very well written custom map. Drives like it has an ATB...witchcraft I tell you 🤷♂️😂😂
Love it
I wonder what the fuel consumption is like but £75,000!
That was the cost to develop the car 👍
How does it compare to the GP3? I ask because I own GP1394. It’s fast to me but I can’t compare it to any other car other than my wife’s F55 S.
