Stella. It's so nice from you to get tips for all of us who are looking forward on a crew member interview. I'm preparing myself to get some interviews in the near future in México. I always enjoy your videos.
You people do a fantastic job, we just arrive as passengers on a flight and there you are with a smile looking great bringing us coffee and snacks and at the same time being prepared to deal with the emergency landings or the whole thing needing to be evacuated, while staying polite dealing with abusive customers and complete assholes. You look glamorous but it's a serious business, a difficult balance. Wow, you have my full respect lady, it's a tough job.
Yay!! I'm so glad your doing this series! I've been researching how to become a flight attendant and what it's like to be a flight attendant for months now and I feel like I know what to do and kind of what to expect but I LOVE getting info and tips from actual flight attendants. Looking forward to more videos! 😄
Thank you!!! I have an interview tomorrow and your tips were a huge help. I knew to smile but that's really something I can't control because I smile a lot anyway lol. But I found the tips about the nylons, earrings ( because I normally wear huge hoops), how should I wear my hair ( I normally have it big and curly or straight and long), and the lipstick were very helpful... I figured I needed to go with the contemporary look but your tips gave me more of an idea of what I should do. Appreciate it!
I feel so devastated I had my first interview yesterday. I put so much effort and prepared myself for it. I don't understand what these people were looking for because obviously wasn't a FA. People who received a F2F weren't serious about the job. One girl had Beach flip flops yes flip flops , another girl's went in there looking like she was going to the club with her 6 inch heel and their was a lady who her whole suit was wrinkled..they all talked about their personal life. Talked about how they enjoyed the benefits and to me this career is more than a paycheck or the benefits etc. It was like if they were auditioning for the next krusty the clown.
Kia ora (hello) from New Zealand.... I love your video's I follow a few of you flight attendants as I am in the process here in N.Z. as a F.A.... so thanks so much for all your lovely video's and the information that I am learning a lot.... ka ki te (goodbye) from New Zealand....
Greetings from Brandon, Florida... :-) I've already had 2 videos interview!!! hoping to hear soon for F2F , watching your videos in the meantime to get ready. Thank you Stella!!!
Great video!!! Good tips, definitely a must wear your hair up. I interviewed with United last summer and met a guy flight attendant before my interview and he said wear your hair up. Also good tip wear a watch and simple earrings/necklace.
Another tip I got from a flight attendant is be confident but not over the top/ false. I myself worked as a flight attendant with a lot of tattoos, kept them covered but we were a private airline so I could have them out if I wanted. I've heard European airlines and Emirates/ Qatar are extremely strict with tattoos even have to point them out on the application 😱
stellaaaa! thank you so much for those fantastic tips!!! youare so friendly and so adorable!!! is like me talking with a friend jajaja i cant wait for more videos like this!!! grettings from Cancun city!!!! ☀🌴🌊
Stella I just wanted to compliment you on your channel also I think you have a real nice smile and a very bubbly personality I enjoy your channel a lot and I've learned a lot about flight attendants you're loyal subscriber Rick Stebbens
I just recently started watching your videos and I totally love it! especially your vlogs and Becoming a flight attendant series. I have a passion for this job, however I don't seem to know how to get started and where to search for flight attendant jobs. So here comes my question, how did you get your job? any training or education required? thanks!
+iammosquitoz Start by going onto the websites of the airlines you like and see if they're hiring in the career section. If they are apply online directly with them. Most US carriers just require customer service experience 😊✈️❤️
that's a fabulous series! now I'm already a lawyer but these tips work anyway :D suggestion : have you ever encountered pesky passengers? and how do you deal with them?
Hey Stella! I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more videos! Question for you - what steps did you take in becoming a Flight Attendant (education, looking for employment, etc.)?
Love your videos! One thing, however: some, if not most, U.S. airlines do not permit you to cover up visible tattoos. They specifically state tattoos are still considered visible if you cover them with clothing, a wristwatch, a bandaid, or concealer.
Hi, Stella! I'm very excited for your new series :) I have a question, maybe you know something. Is it possible to become a FA in USA if you're from another country, like Europe for example? Thank you
Hello Stella! I’m new to your channel. I came across your video because I had my first live interview with a major air line. I wanted to get a good idea of how I did on how I looked, presented myself and spoke. My nails were unpolished, My pearl necklaces was a bit long and my hair is ginger, but was pulled into a neat bun. Everything else was on point right down to the lipstick. Will I be passed on because of my hair color? I’m worried 😟
I went to an interview, I came with my tattoos covered and not visible, when they asked about tattoos I was honest. They asked me to remove the makeup and dismissed me from my interview immediately... they didn’t even give me a chance. They said they allow tattoos to be covered, just not in the placement where mine is.... huh?!
thank you!!! this were really useful tips. thanks a lot . so can I wear red lipstick to my interview? I am attending for the first time. kindly advise.
What kind of jewelry is allowed as far as the uniform goes? I ask because I have a small fading heart tattoo on my middle finger on the side..and I could easily cover it up with a plain ring, or make-up if not. LOL
Welp.. I'm out 😂 hate heels, would forget to sit straight and properly (have worst habit of getting a leg up), and I don't know how to switch on a smile and look natural about it 😅 tend to pull the 😬
I have two ear piercings per earlobe. If I don't wear second piercing, rarely do anyways and willing not to, will I be compliant? Because I'm seeing no multiple piercing in uniform, does that mean you can put back your multiple piercing once you change out of uniform?
Mam i have a tatoo on my wrist also i am having laser surgery done uptill now i have had 6 laser surgeries but still its not completely gone its visible! What if i hide my tatoo with makeup and appear for interview? What can be the possible consequences? Please mam really need your help!
Okay so, I’m down with wearing my hair back but I HATE. MY. EARS... so would I be allowed to have small tendrils down in front of my ears? Obviously not thick ones.
What about stretched ears? I assume they obviously wouldn’t be allowed considering the very professional image, but do you think you could get away with it if they were small? Or wore jewelry to look like they weren’t stretched. My heart is set on being a flight attendant but I’m in the process of stretching my ears 😬
Was totally honest about my tattoo and I think that’s what cut me out of the running 😕. It’s small, easily coverable with makeup and or certain uniforms. I have another F2F with another airline and I’m beyond nervous that this could possibly eliminate me again 😫😫. I don’t know if the tattoo was the reason (first first airline), I just have a feeling. Especially with the emphasis on “no visible tattoos”. From your experience (or anyone here), have you encountered FA’s with tattoos -that were covered with uniform/makeup?
deelight41 I read in the paperwork that Delta sent me we would have to tell them before the F2F in Atlanta because if they find out while your there that’s an automatic fail 🤦🏽♀️
Nicole Brown what paperwork🤔, I didn’t receive/see this. Did you have a F2F with them already and are you also concerned about a tattoo? BTW, thanks for your responses! 😊
Hi Stella, I really love your videos!! I have always that that male flight attendants had to be clean shaven until I saw a male flight attendant video, (check out Adonis Cruz), now I have asked him and he says that men can have facial hair, just to have it groomed properly. Now I know that flight attendants don't tell which airlines they work for, because they aren't representing the airlines and to keep personal privacy, etc... So my question to you is.Is it just your airlines that men have to be clean shaven or is this just your recommendation? I ask this because I am thinking of becoming a flight attendant and if you guys aren't or can't tell which airlines then how can I prepare myself for the interview of this topic?
Is the face-to-face interview after the video one? I applied recently, and they want me to use some app for a video recorded interview. That's stressing me out! LOL. Multiple interviews?
OpTic Hecz brought me here. You guys should check his channel. He suggested your channel as one of the smaller channels out there that have high quality vids
I'm from the United Kingdom, I'm interested in being a flight attendant when I'm older, however, I have really bad posture and find it hard to push my shoulders back and sit up straight, any tips?
I would like to become a flight attendant but I have a big tattoo in my lower arm (it is an airplane btw) :( do you think I will have problems with that?
Not a problem with US carriers, international carriers yes. As long as you can cover it up with makeup you're fine. Don't lie about it when they ask you in the interview :). I have a tattoo on my foot and it was fine I just had to cover it during training and when ever I'm working.
Andrianna Saporita I just finished my interview on Dec.12, 2017 and H.R. said makeup is not going to cut it so that is not a good tip at all for those going in with hope. So if the tattoo is in a visible spot makeup will not suffice with them EVEN if you say it works. Sorry.

CAN FLIGHT ATTENDANTS HAVE BANGS OR ARE THEY NOT ALLOWED? P.S. I have typed that in caps because no one seems to be answering the question. I can't find it on Google either.
hey just a quick question in order to be a flight attendant do you need to be a swimmer ? does it actually matter considering we wear flight jackets in the water? xx
hey stella.. please help me how to ans there questions ..n what to answer..after 2-3 days im gona have an interview with indigo airlines..please guide me. waiting for your revert back.....
Most airlines have a dress option for flight attendants to wear so I definitely think it would be fine. I would recommend wearing a suit jacket over the dress though :)
Yes absolutely! Anything that makes you already look like a flight attendant is a huge plus. Just make sure that what ever airline your interviewing for you look like their FAs. So if its Delta the red dress would be great but if its American maybe a blue dress would be better :)
Question : In terms of answering the online personality questionnaire ..do we answer along the lines of strongly agree/disagree or stay neutral wth just agree/disagree!? For someone reason I never make it past this process 😩
You definitely want to have a firm opinion, agree/disagree. Neutral says you can't really make a decision. They are looking for problem solvers because when your up in the air you don't have boss around. You have to take charge and make decisions. :)
I'm from Sweden and I have never seen a flight attendant wear red lipstick. I fly from Sweden to the US.. Is it that different companies have different rules?
Hi Stella, I was wondering if there is a way to privately message you or email? I have a question regarding an offer i received and would like to know your personal opinion.
Honestly I think you have the perfect personality for a flight attendant.
Yeah! I wonder why airline she works for!? My best friend works with Emirates and they don't get free flights but 90% off.
I think she's with American airlines
Vanessa Lee American airlane
I went into my face-to-face interview nervous about having a short beard, but they still made me an offer. I start training in January!
Stella. It's so nice from you to get tips for all of us who are looking forward on a crew member interview.

+Fly With Stella what about short hair
Short hair is fine :) but if its longer than your jawline I would pin it back.
+Fly With Stella my hair is down to my neck and off my shoulders thank you 😊✈
Do you know which airline she's with?
Thank you!!! I have an interview tomorrow and your tips were a huge help. I knew to smile but that's really something I can't control because I smile a lot anyway lol. Thank you so much for the tips! Very helpful, and I feel a lot more prepared for my interviews!
This was so interesting to me! I watched until the very end- even though I'm not planning to be a flight attendant! 😊
Lol, that was such a cute and sweet comment! Thank you :)
+Fly With Stella you're welcome!
Best video I've seen yet!! Straight and to the point!!

Thank you so much Ms. Stella. It really helps me a lot to prepare myself for the upcoming opening day of QR. Fly with you soon Ms. ✈
YAY! So excited for this series!! :)
Thank you so much for the helpful info and making these videos! Just in time for my F2F!! ✊🏼😁

suggestion : have you ever encountered pesky passengers? and how do you deal with them?
The best thing to do with pesky passengers is to help as much as you can then walk away. None of us want drama at 37,000 feet in the air. :) LOL
Yay!! Amazing video, i can use the tips❤️❤️
This is great!! Thank you for making this!!!
Hey Stella! I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more videos! Question for you - what steps did you take in becoming a Flight Attendant (education, looking for employment, etc.)?
hi Stella , a hug from Brazil ,I´M watching your videos and it´s all incredible thank you very much for the tips and see u soon on a fly.
Thanks for share that information ! I want to be an Air Traffic Controler , Great video !!
*Controller , hahaha sorry
Love your videos! One thing, however: some, if not most, U.S. airlines do not permit you to cover up visible tattoos. They specifically state tattoos are still considered visible if you cover them with clothing, a wristwatch, a bandaid, or concealer.
I know plenty of flight attendants that have tattoos all over their arms and just wear the jackets they are given to cover them. So, that is not true.
Hi, Stella! I'm very excited for your new series :) I have a question, maybe you know something. Is it possible to become a FA in USA if you're from another country, like Europe for example? Thank you
I think all you need is a work visa. Most airlines have different rules so you would have to research the airline your applying for. :)
Here is your new subscriber from India 🇮🇳.......... Much love for u
I always hear about hair pulled back off your face, what if you wear bangs? Loving your video
Bangs are fine. :)
Hi Stella! Loved your video... what about ladies with short hair?

Love, love your look in this video.
You look radiant and fabulous I love your videos and especially your smiley face.
Stella how aligned should the teeth be? And great video as always xoxo
I don't think it matters as long as you own your smile and wear it with confidence :)
Ty for sharing such a important n nice info with us ty
You are so nice flight attendant!

How long did it take a response from the airline after your on demand interview?
Hi Stella!
Do you have have study tips for the training?
Thank you!
m going for the interview soon. give me some tips.
I have two ear piercings per earlobe. If I don't wear second piercing, rarely do anyways and willing not to, will I be compliant? Because I'm seeing no multiple piercing in uniform, does that mean you can put back your multiple piercing once you change out of uniform?

Who was the first airline ?
Nicole Brown hello, United. Ive read on discussion groups/chats that even if coverable with makeup its still considered visible 🤔🤦🏻♀️.
deelight41 I read in the paperwork that Delta sent me we would have to tell them before the F2F in Atlanta because if they find out while your there that’s an automatic fail 🤦🏽♀️
Nicole Brown what paperwork🤔, I didn’t receive/see this. Did you have a F2F with them already and are you also concerned about a tattoo? BTW, thanks for your responses! 😊
deelight41 yes I’m very concerned it’s on my inner forearm and I read it inside the interview prep guide for the first video interview

+Fly With Stella thank you :)
YES!!
Thank you!
Is the face-to-face interview after the video one? I applied recently, and they want me to use some app for a video recorded interview. That's stressing me out! LOL. Multiple interviews?
I am the perfect for this job I smile all the time and I hate having my hair down
Most people look awful with their hair all back, can you have your bangs down if your hair is back?
nice video am new to your vlogs am from Jamaica
OpTic Hecz brought me here. You guys should check his channel. He suggested your channel as one of the smaller channels out there that have high quality vids
YES check Hecz out!!! I have him linked on all my videos under the video info :) He was awesome and I was so lucky to have met him!
waiting to see ur videos
Is it true your hair can’t be to long in general? Like my hair is really long and I’ve heard that can really hurt your chance
If I have a pixie cut, how do I do my hair? Just as normal?
I'm from the United Kingdom, I'm interested in being a flight attendant when I'm older, however, I have really bad posture and find it hard to push my shoulders back and sit up straight, any tips?
Do yoga! It helps a lot with posture.
Sorry.
agreed! Received my CJO Dec 4th, no visible tattoos at all.
@@FlyWithStella I have been told Delta has you roll your sleeves up, and uses a flash light to check if you're wearing makeup. Like SUPER intense. Is this not really the case?
jaylyn This is so nerve wrecking and disheartening. If it’s coverable with makeup/uniform what’s the issue? But to roll your sleeves and inspect with a flashlight 😰😰.
What if we dont have straight and white teeth? Is it still possible to become a flight attendant?
Probably more difficult. You'd have to really shine in every other department.
Dhoroty Elorde You can always get your teeth whitened.
CAN FLIGHT ATTENDANTS HAVE BANGS OR ARE THEY NOT ALLOWED?
P.S. I have typed that in caps because no one seems to be answering the question. I can't find it on Google either.
What if you can't make it to the training if you are hired? Is there an alternative? Another date or maybe a different location?
hey just a quick question in order to be a flight attendant do you need to be a swimmer ? does it actually matter considering we wear flight jackets in the water? xx
Some airlines want you to be able to swim and some don't. It all depends on which airline you get hired into.
Thank you xx
hey stella..
please help me how to ans there questions ..n what to answer..after 2-3 days im gona have an interview with indigo airlines..please guide me. waiting for your revert back.....
Thanks a lot
is it okay to wear bangs and the rest of your hair being pulled back?
I want really had to become a flight attendant ..but my smile is not really straight ..do you this that this might be a problem?
how about weight?
can you wear a dress to the interview? what is your opinion on this?
Most airlines have a dress option for flight attendants to wear so I definitely think it would be fine. I would recommend wearing a suit jacket over the dress though :)
Alrighty! And what if it looks like the delta red dress that they wear do you think that would be okay without a blazer or jacket?
Yes absolutely! Anything that makes you already look like a flight attendant is a huge plus. Just make sure that what ever airline your interviewing for you look like their FAs. So if its Delta the red dress would be great but if its American maybe a blue dress would be better :)
+Fly With Stella thank you so much for all your help. and thank you for answering my questions !
mam my hairs are too short ...so mam is it good or bad for the interview ?
What if you have a tribal tattoo and want to apply to be a flight attendant
Girl, I know read lipstick is iconic but I’m a pale redhead and it’s not for me!
I do all of this and give good answers and for some reason they never hire me. Lol. Guess I'm just not cut out for it.
I'm a Muslim but i really want to be a cabin crew. My question is can i wear turban during the iv/ open day
Question : In terms of answering the online personality questionnaire ..do we answer along the lines of strongly agree/disagree or stay neutral wth just agree/disagree!? For someone reason I never make it past this process 😩

+Fly With Stella thank you! 💕
And the necklace thing can they be crosses and stuff or could that trigger someone. I fell like a lot of normal things maybe questionable
When I worked for UPS, certain countries didn't allow any religious materials in their country. So, to be on the safe side, don't wear a cross.
I'm from Sweden and I have never seen a flight attendant wear red lipstick. I fly from Sweden to the US.. Is it that different companies have different rules?
Yes Sabrina all airlines have different rules. :)
What about women with short hair? Are there many female cabin crew with short hair?
how hard is it to become a flight attendant?

how about dark brown shoes?
what about an apple watch?
