entirely relied on you guys for my exams, thank you so much. I used all your booklets on sociology and videos which have consolidated so much learning, and really helped in today’s paper. I can’t believe sociology is over! Thank you so much for all the work you put in
Great to hear Lillie - you are very kind with your comments. Sending all of our best wishes for any remaining papers and of course for your grades when they come out!

Thank you guys for being absolute legends your videos were my only good source of revision ✨
Wow, thank you!
One more question about the 20 marker. Whilst we use a single theory are we meant to argue them against each other E.g. criticisms of Merton by other functionalists. And how many other theories should we include that’s not functionalism?
You can do, but bulk of the essay should be on that theory if it asks for contributions or usefulness
would i lose marks for/ is there a cap to the marks I can get on a 30 marker if I don't mention theorists? I'm really struggling to remember their names but I can remember the points they make, so would it make a difference in the marks out of 30 if I included and explained the points without naming them?
You don't get marked down so it might be worth just writing your best guess for a name - you might get a mark for trying. Either that or write a general theorist in the same field of thought (e.g. If you can't remember a functionalist, write 'functionalists like Durkheim').
No cap
@@MahouKat thank you! that's what i did in the exam, so hopefully it all goes well :)
What is victimology
1) positive victimology - people are responsible for their own victimisation, e.g. middle-class displaying their wealth, puts them at risk of theft
2) critical victimology- structural factors e.g. poverty - homeless lack of resources and power puts them at greater risk of victimisation.
Someone who has watched this fully how useful is this stream on a scale of 1 to 10? Trying to utilise my time as well as possible....
Yeah I watched it live it was decent
@@libby1977 I’m super behind on revision however and still haven’t covered some topic areas. Am I better off watching this or learning more content
@@calvindavidson269 mate i’m really behind on revising and this seems to be ideal to catch up
@@calvindavidson269 focus on theories of crime for the 30 marker for sure: functionalism incl subcultural theory, Marxism inc neo marxism, interactionism (labelling etc). This video is a good boost but yeah make sure you know that fully.
TheTEACHERSOCIOLOGY does some good videos and look at conflict v consensus/ structural v social action for the theory and methods 20 marker
@@calvindavidson269 gonna be a long night of revision for u I think 😂 good luck
Craig you are a legend YNWA
Someone tell my kids that...
