DIY deck from wooden pallets for a shed tiny house or cabin. I first built foundations out of concrete blocks. Placed wooden pallets on the concrete blocks. Then screwed all the wooden pallets with wood screws. FOUNDATIONS and DECK. #shorts

Yup, i had a renter that built this garbage in the backyard. It was more hazardous than reliable after the first snowfall in Wyoming. I told him to remove it and I bought everything to make a real deck. I'm sure these are great in areas that dont take on heavy snow storms and extreme weather conditions.

First of all, sand in foil will retain water and secondly there should be a waterproof isolation between concrete blocks and wood.
Ha you better hope it never rains that will never stay level and will probably just wash away

OMG, all the builders who have built so many, so so many buildings and structures constructed on proper, decent foundations must be kicking themselves now: to see how you can build a floor/foundation from a few crap pallets, a few blocks and couple of bags of sand!!!

Not to mention the screws he used, will be rusted away in a few months 😂
@@kumaralockwood3172 I could be wrong, but I believe that was brick mortar... which could easily be wet AFTER leveling and tamping, causing it to harden in situ. 🤔 Also, those screws look to be electrogalvanized ... so no rusting.

Wouldn't it be cheaper, and sturdier, to just buy lumber instead? I'm sure whoever made that pallet made a profit selling it to you. Those are brand new pallets.

Sand is loosely packed. Even if you pack sand with a vibratory Compacter it won't be as tight as if you laid it just on soil compacted soil or concrete

No need for polythene in the hole before concrete it’s a load of pee , love the video though great job . Polythene is a load of nonsense that everyone thinks needs to be done but it’s actually a waste of time and bad for the environment. Concrete isn’t porous and already air tight watertight . Reinforcing on the other hand works wonders.
Think of all that very old dams that’s holding back water 🤷♂️ yup concrete and nothing special added. Just a good old mix .
