I remember an episode about painter I think, he was an alcoholic and he and Beaver were friends. Beaver unknowing gave him alcohol, but of course Beaver didn’t know that he had something wrong. Ward kept him on providing that he not drink while on the job. I think that was a very important episode that they dealt with. My dad was also an alcoholic too. I understood it well as a kid, only thing I found strange was why there wasn’t any violence in the episode. In my young mind I thought it was great because no other TV shows dealt with that issue, alcoholism. ⭐️

Perhaps if more wholesome shows like this, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, My Three Sons,,,etc were made today instead of the violent nature of shows our kids are exposed to, there would be less violence in this country. Loved Leave it to Beaver and all those shows back then. Now it’s hard to find non violent shows on TV. No wonder streaming is overtaking cable!

The biggest goof was when Beaver smoked Ward's pipe and used pine-scented room spray to cover up the stench. Later, June was sitting in that room and Ward walked in. He immediately smelled the pine scent but June didn't notice it at all. I never understood that. Beaver had sprayed a large amount of it.

I’ve been consumed on where Mayfield could be. In the episode where the boys build a canoe Ward tries to comfort June by saying don’t worry the ocean is 20 miles away. It can’t be California, in the episode where Beaver graduates from Grant Ave June tells Beaver his Uncle Billy is coming all the way from California. Ward says a few times the home office of his company is in NY. My best guess would be Maryland or Delaware. There’s also a reference to a relative in Florida also the boys almost always have light jackets on when outside, though it never snows or is wintertime cold.

One episode sticks out in my mind: The one when Larry Mondello keeps coaxing Beaver to take his go cart out a little at a time. First they take it out of the garage and look at it, then they start the engine, then they drive it around in the driveway, and pretty soon they're driving it on the street around the neighborhood. Then they get pulled over by a cop, and they get in trouble. I remember that one because I was a teen and saw it a day or two before some friends dropped over at my house to see my new-to-me sports car. It had a manual transmission, and I didn't know how to drive it yet. We were looking at the car in the garage, but they wanted to get a better look at it, so we pushed it out into the driveway. Not long after that, they asked me to start it up, so I did. Then they wanted to drive it just to the end of the driveway (it wasn't registered yet). I stopped them right there, because I knew where this was going. I'd just seen what happened to Beaver, and I didn't want to get the business!
So yeah, I guess that's my favorite episode.😉

Yes, it’s old; however, Timmy and Lassie would either learn a lesson (ie what happens if you disobey a parent) or Timmy and/or Lassie helped someone in need. Still watch LITB daily. Just saw an episode yesterday that showed a brief glimpse of the toilet tank in the boys bathroom. As I continue to watch the reruns I've begun to notice inconsistencies over the years. The 3rd rendition of the opening theme has a subtle blooper. When June comes out of the front door holding a tray of ice tea in her hands, the door automatically opens for her and closes behind her. But it's not done by Ward or any one of the boys as they are outside doing yard work! Fred Rutherford only once mentions Lumpy has two older brothers. Then on other episodes Fred just mentions either Lumpy or Violet (2 different Violets) but never seen or mentioned together (?). Over the years, Eddie Haskell has had three different looking fathers. In the episode where Beaver is supposed to be a canary in the 3rd grade play, you see Larry's father for the first and last time. Early on, Larry mentions he has two older brothers bit doesn't mention a sister. Then he just has the one married brother with a child and then an older sister his mom desperately wants to marry off! The show was also frugal with the vehicles used on the set. You see the same car that Ward drives being driven down the street or parked elsewhere in other scenes. I think it was a community car! Good stuff anyway. Thanks for sharing. 🤣🤣

Best show about the best era. The golden age. This is what America used to be. Traditional family, traditional family values. Kids who listened to their parents, a wife who listened to her husband. Yessir, no sir. A clean house. Dinner on the table. Christianity. This was America at its best.

Leave it to Beaver was a fantastic show I watched this show growing up wonderful memories. In the 50s and 60s the world had class and morals I really miss the old days. In the old days we had less crime and everyone could trust there neighbors. People from today are just weird they believe in bizzare things .

The baby alligator was in the tank, not the bowl. It was perfect - just put the lid on the tank and no one's the wiser. June wouldn't even see it when she was cleaning.

IDK? June was pretty thorough. She "might" clean under the lid. LOL!

Mrs. Star Trek had a small role in one episode. Majel Barrett, who would later marry Gene Roddenberry, played the mother of the girl who gave Beaver his first kiss. Season 3 episode 2.

One blooper that was kept in was when Larry stuck out his tongue too soon at Beaver when they were in an argument. Rusty Stevens who played Larry quickly put his hand over his mouth then after Ward finished talking (on the phone i think) he proceeded with his part and stuck his tongue out again.

Another favorite Beaver episode of mine was early in Season 5. Beaver and Gilbert were horseing around in Ward's car, the parking brake was dislodged,, it rolled into the street,, angered motorists all started honking,, brother Wally ran up,, grabbed a hidden key,, drove car back into driveway,, then presto,, a COP showed up and gave Wally a ticket for "driving without a License" (LoL)!

There's something about June Cleaver and her figure wearing her fit and flare dresses and high heels! Once in while she would give us a glimpse of her crinoline underneath her dress. What a mom!

She had a very slender waist. Always classy looking, even when she had on an apron (with her ever present pearls).

@@johntiggleman4686 You mentioned her pearls...what woman back then wore pearls every day!! None that I knew. It was always a "house dress" and an apron, or decent blouse and skirt or pants. But always an apron.

There was an episode where Beaver was avoiding going home. Why, I don't remember. The determinant for when he'd go home was when he saw a passing car with a New Jersey license plate. Safe to say Mayfield wasn't in New Jersey.
