He needed a bath but i didnt want to traumatized him but your video helped me get him through his first bath. He is doing well gaining weight and his fractured leg is healing, he actually started purring midway through his bath. You are so very helpful
We're about to pick up two of our neighbor's cats, starting with just one first, and even though they stay around the house, I'd still define them as strays since they run all over the neighborhood and scare easily when you near them. I'm doing some last-minute research since my mom up and decided she wants them for the field mice and such; but being that I'm already a dog mom of 2, I can't let our new furbabies give my current furbabies any ticks or fleas, as well as not wanting them to be dirty while roaming the house
She’s like “Holly Molly what is this?!”😂 But she was more happy after and more bonding because I tried my best to wash her as she was quit dirty, smelly cat ☺️
Unfortunately if pets is scratching then it will be disaster 😅 Just leave them to clean themselves or if very dirty and must have wash the best to get advice with the vets and pros ☺️

Yes, just give him a gentle wash and see how he is. Bad smell probably because outdoor cats go everywhere and eventually get dirty. Let me know how you get on. Hope it all goes well. Have a nice day! ☺️
Generally you dont need to wash cats as they are hygienic unless cat is really dirty. If he has temper then I would say if cat requires wash then could ask vet on where can bring cat for a wash. I only washed at my own risk and don’t reccomend as some cats can be more aggressive ☺️
My stray cat would only let me touch the top of her head with two fingers for 5 seconds and she has claws. 6 years later I can pet her on her terms. I would suggest a tall bucket filled with clean warm water and a large cup to use for rinsing instead of using the scary shower head. Also I wouldn’t bath her head until the cat starts to like baths or it could turn into a blood bath or an unsuccessful rinsing of the eyes. 😻
I'm not at this stage yet. He just decided to come in the house yesterday, but only for a little bit. I'm taking him to the vet next month. He did let me clean him with a washcloth today, so progress 🤷🏾♀️😂 if he wants to stay after he's healthy and clean, he'll have a home.

Just took a stray in from a popular dump site in my city during a snowstorm about 2 weeks ago. I've used wipes on her, but as I just found out she is pregnant I believe a real bath is necessary to get all the dumpster dirt out of her long hair and de-matted but I'm petrified of sending her like into shock or something. This helped.
no problemo amigo lol .you did really good but a trick ı have to give you. it is actually easier if you put a towel under her legs. if it gets slippery they fight more
Hi here just looking for support a cat adopted me . She was left by neighbors . I think she has ticks on her . I do have to keep her separate for ten days to make sure she isn’t sick that’s what was told to me . Just have health anxiety and needed support . But I’m taking her in can’t see her out there . I don’t think the owner bothered to get her vet care so I don’t want to get scratched or bite until I know she okay . Just support would be great thanks a lot. .
Make sure she is calm cat, giver her some food, pet her, have a look at her and how she looks. If you concerned, bring to vet, just explain that she was abandoned. Hopefully they can look after her and treat if needed but if she looks clean, then she will self clean herself. Just make sure feed and water so the pet can be looked after. All the best 🙏🏻

My rescue and feral kitties were always calmer during baths than my 100% domesticated adopted ones. Maybe it was because they were siamese which had more energy than the average cat? XD
My fam and I adopted a stray cat and she is our first pet like ever we tried to bathe her but she was so scared and we couldn’t finish it🥹 so sad hopefully she gets comfortable w us soon so that we can fully take her in

Thank you very much and thank you for your interest ☺️ I don’t clip cats nails, I think it’s good for them to have sharp nails as it helps for them to jump and grab onto stuff and also protect themselves if they do go outside. Of course sharp nails doesn’t help when cat is playing because then human arm is destroyed in scratches(lol) but I made peace with that 😅🤩

i adopted a beautiful white stray cat whos about a year old and he needs a bath before i decide to let him sleep on my bed yk. but i didnt cut his nails and his mouth is pretty dirty. he runs away when water touches him. i was wondering if you have any advice to bath him, bc i really dont like painful scratches with unclean nails 😔 how do i get him used to water? i tried putting his water in the bathroom on a wet floor so he would get used to water on his feet, but he shakes his paws like he touched something disgusting and runs out of there as fast as he can after he drinks lol
Hello. Maybe first try a warm cloth to clean him gently just to get used to cleaning and clean the dirty areas. Later he will wash himself, cats grooming themselves and usually clean. But because he is a stray, try gently with warm water cloth just for a start.
@@svetlanadiaries that was literally so helpful. he kept walking away but i was able to somehow get the black dirty spots off his head with a warm wet napkin though it kept getting cold lol. but his fur is definitely cleaner and ill gradually keep adding more and more water on him along with the wet napkin so he gets used to it. thank you so much!!
we found a cat that fell off our roof, her mother didn't come back after hours, so we took her/he in and made a bed out of a box and towels, and tried to feed but it wouldn't eat or drink, after half an hour, the mother came and started smelling and licking the kitten, after a while the mother and kit (the cat was limping on the back left leg,) but after a while he started to walk with his mother, but the mother wanted the cat to get back up on the roof were he fell, but he couldn't get up because he was too weak, i didn't want to let the kitten go to early since it was badly hurt, (there we no vets or pet docs near or open) he got stuck in the names front yard and was cold as ice! the fence was locked so we couldn't get it back, and the mother just left the kitten then one of are family friends came and jumped the fence and grabbed the cat, he started to run a bit but still limping on his back left leg he also started to eat but not a lot then his mother just ran away like really far and didn't come back, so we went on a night bike ride and came back but the mother was no we're to been seen so we're just taking care of the kit when it is strong enough thanks for the video btw! he is very calm and friendly but likes to hid in dark places! thanks for the video just not sure how he will react in water, since we only have cold water we're i am right now,

As of this morning my stray cat is now indoors. She’s a senior and I’ve been taking care of her but lately she refuses to eat or drink anything unless I bring her things inside. So she needs a bath and thank god she has no flees… but I fear she will scratch me up 😭she has snuck into my house for the past month and I guess she found her new home 😂❤️
If she is super scared then it’s best not do yourself and if need wash badly then vet can do it but if she not aggressive and able to manage nicely then it’s okay. It’s all about how she reacts but other cats are more agressive scared than others when it comes to water.
There is a stray cat behind my house and ive started to feed it and I have 4 dogs and the cat clearly has fleas and has started to rub up on my dogs and I can't have my dogs having fleas because then the fleas will affect my father because he's allergic to fleas
