Wish I lived near you guys; I’d be there with my son helping you guys out. I’m glad that you’re putting up the effort necessary to save a historical home. I’m sure it will be a true local treasure when you’re finished.
Wowzers! You have done an amazing job. A true labor of love to uncover the beauty of this property. I live in Mcduffie county, Georgia and I see the wisteria, though beautiful, overtake and devastate old farm sites and choke the trees surrounding them. I'm really glad I found your channel. I've tired to catch up on videos and I'm still trying to figure out the relationships and how everyone ties in. 😄 What a treasure to unfold and I'm glad we get to follow with you. Great job! Please post more often. Thomson Fan!
Thank you for the update on the Byrd project ! It was fun watching you race around like Keystone Cops 😆 ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you maybe doing next ! Doing well here in Kansas .
Robert I bought property years ago and cleared out overgrowth and tore down old half burnt house, saved the tin and lumber, etc. I can certainly relate to what you are doing. Brings back a lot of memories.
Thanks for the laugh Mr Robert going through these trying times my brother you definitely make a soul feel better love watching the bird farm come apart I guess and then go back together I'm sure it will be very beautiful when the Roberts and family for through thank you for the wonderful videos and the lift me up your friend NORTH GEORGIA MIKE
I loved this video. I am very interested in your project. How wonderful it will be to restore such an old historical house to its former glory. It may not be a mansion or George Washington slept there. But all old homes deserve to be restored and kept as a reminder of the roots and sweat this country was built on. Keep going Robert and thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Been waiting ages for you to start for real on the house Love what you have done so far but still so much more to do so we have many more video's from you to come Thankyou Robert
Thank you for taking us along on the journey. Please consider eye protection when doing demo. I know it's a pain, but some of those rafters have nails at eye level!
Hello buddy ✌️ I'm watching this video right now 👍👌I love to paint I'd like to paint that house. I sure wish I was closer I'd help you restore it.. that is my specialty I fix them back to just the way they were originally and it looks like nothing happened to it.
I am proud of your progress also! When it did the noise of something falling, I thought the noise sounded like rain, and the tin roof sounded like man-made thunder! I am loving this whole project! You might have some beautiful woodwork awaiting your handy work!
I love these videos! You're so lucky to be able to do something like this AND be where the weather is good all year round. Still wish I lived close so I could come help, have always wanted to do or at least help with a project like this.
No wonder you were tired, that was a lot of work! Making a whole lot of progress 👏🏼 You asking if you could get back to it after the shingles fell had me cracking up 🤣
Greetings! My wife and I love both of your channels. In fact, yours is the only channels that my wife watches. Our only complaint is that some of the videos are too short; and we need more videos! We like your friends, also. We plan on purchasing some T-shirts for Christmas. There are a lot of good comments here, too. God bless you and your staff, and merry Christmas! Please continue with the Byrd house! We like these a lot.
Robert the house looks great Ive been following a long with the process and I'm pleased with how much you have done in a short amount of time you seem happy in this video I hope you find someone special to share this with I'm glad to see it you are doing a great job please be careful and god bless
Boy I was way off. Glad someone knew. An old shell. Makes sense. Good job. Thank you. Glad to see you getting to the old house. It will be beautiful 😍. I can tell you are going to love living there. Gods place. It's all beautiful. God bless 💖
Thank you for sharing what you are doing with the house and property. It is fun to see all the old things that you find. If I weren't so old, I'd be there helping you! :)
Hard hat and safety glasses would be a good idea during demo work. A large rubber mallet is very effective for beating things apart. You're doing a good job. Work from the edges, piece by piece and form piles. Watch out for the nails, they can bite you too. Fun project.
Thank you for all the videos on your amazing progress! I agree with the comment below about the gloves and hard hat. I wish you continued success, and I will be watching. I also have told my family to watch. Be safe...
Great job Robert i applaud you for working so hard all by yourself with such enthusiasm. You are a man on a mission. I wish you much success on this home and look forward to the unveiling of this masterpiece. I am so excited for you. 🔨🔦🚙💝
Loving the Byrd House videos. I would thrive with a project like this. Except I would have the hubby grab our camper out of storage and probably not ever want to leave the farm to go back to our city house. 😂
Your getting a lot of work done. Never know what you'll find. The more you clean, it looks better every day .Wishing you all the best of luck, You'll find more treasures yet !!!
Please be careful with the asbestos. That can be some pretty dangerous stuff. I really enjoy your videos. My dad used to do what you are doing. Occasionally cleaning up like you are doing and from him I developed a real love for the same thing. Keep on keeping on and please be safe.
I love the way you respect the memory of the home even when in the collapsed portion. Fingers crossed there is no non living presences ... I thought the snakes were scary enough! Although if it was a presence happy to help it might be a hard offer to turn down 🔨⛏🔧👻🙂
You have accomplished a tremendous amount of work ! Thank you for Wearing those work gloves ! I would love a tour of the inside of the house. I have not seen it yet. Did I miss that ?
Wow Robert are you doing all that alone? Looks like alot of hard work...watch out for the lead paint in the house.. I watch you work and i have to laugh at the guy ive got putting my fence up around my old house... 3 mos now! Lol..
Higher likelihood of stepping on a rusty nail or cut up on debris. Hope Robert is up on his tetanus shot. They are available at county health departments, usually for free since it's a public health issue. Lockjaw is a hard death.
Luved seeing open flame gas heater my parents & grd parents grew up w/ those heaters! Maybe have to get gas people out to make sure gas is turned off. Don't want mother nature undoing all your work or old fasterns to gas valve wear out then the gas leaks out then everthing is gone. When lived upin PNW one of our neighbors was master welder they help lay all gas pipes on west coast told us then in 1990's welds are good for 30/40 yrs beyond that you are gambleing w/ time. Now in 2000 we moved back south but metro areas on west coast blew up think the gas companies would check & make sure fasters were changed out. Our gas company does but too many houses have blown up! plz have them check the gas fasters. Thx for wearing your gloves!
Wow Robert! Catching the video of that roof coming down was 😲! 👍 Next I literally laughed out loud when you tried to get back to work.😁 Lawd, that's an ugly green!😂😆 Great job! You deserve to put your feet up, sir.🙂💜
Well I was completely wrong about what that metal tube was. So glad you found out it's true purpose. You accomplished a lot by the looks of it. I do wish you would invest in a hard hat to protect your sense of humor. I understand the rates for scrap metal have gone up .You may want to consider that when you have a big enough hall. Keep Safe ❤ Keep Well ❤
The weird green paint was in my grandmother's house on walls, her pantry shelves, and on some furniture. I also found it in my 1916 bungalow on shelves and cabinets in kitchen. I think it was from the 30s or 40s.
I noticed on so many abandon houses the additions always decay much fast than the original house. There is a calender hanging on the wall what was the year? And of course I'm sure others have mentioned a HARD HAT! So happy to lsee that coming down it drove me nuts because I'm so nosy and figured maybe we could get a little glimps of inside. LOL
I was tearing off the outer wall of an old machine shed.....crevices were stuffed with walnut shells. 🐿🐿 and squirrels. I really like the old corrugated tin.

I love this. Glad to see the gloves again today...and I think a good old hard hat might be in order. That old roof is out to get you!
Wish I lived near you guys; I’d be there with my son helping you guys out. I’m glad that you’re putting up the effort necessary to save a historical home. I’m sure it will be a true local treasure when you’re finished.

Great progress.
Wonderful to see the old house coming back to life.
All the best.
Very good videography. It was enjoyable to almost be standing back watching you work. Not often demolition is done by hand. You're a good worker.
The beauty of the place is beginning to return. It is a joy to watch this unfold through your hard work!
Thanks for the laugh Mr Robert going through these trying times my brother you definitely make a soul feel better love watching the bird farm come apart I guess and then go back together I'm sure it will be very beautiful when the Roberts and family for through thank you for the wonderful videos and the lift me up your friend

You certainly are a hard worker. The place is looking better every day. Can't wait to see the finished product.
starting to look really good Robert. wish I was 30 yrs younger and could be there to help ya.. Thank you for sharing..
Love to see young people interested in preserving old things! Once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.
A productive man reminds me of a busy busy ant.. Just go go go.. Til progress is made. Good work Robert.
I so enjoy watching you bring this old home back to life. See you tomorrow!
Lot of work..but sure it is a labor of love.
Enjoying all of the videos.

You are doing amazing things. I love how you are sorting the scrap, the burn pile and pointing out the story to the place.
You are making amazing progress!

2:13 You should ask Scotty at the wall there to beam up all that junk ;)
LOL!!
I am really enjoying your videos! You are doing a fantastic job of “taking us along”. I appreciate your hard work 🌞
I so luv watching, waiting for you to uncover more and more... These videos are so cool..

I am proud of your progress also! When it did the noise of something falling, I thought the noise sounded like rain, and the tin roof sounded like man-made thunder! I am loving this whole project! You might have some beautiful woodwork awaiting your handy work!

Wow I can’t believe how much you have gotten done.
I’m glad I came across your videos....
Did a great job so proud of you 👍 thanks for letting us watch 💕
At my house I am using old tin as backsplash in the kitchen.
I put tin in my walk in shower
Hard hat and safety glasses would be a good idea during demo work. A large rubber mallet is very effective for beating things apart. You're doing a good job. Work from the edges, piece by piece and form piles. Watch out for the nails, they can bite you too. Fun project.
Take the old tin that you don't want and sell it for scrap.
Aloha enjoying this and what treasures you find🌺🤙🏽🌴🍍
I'm afraid if you don't get those roots up, those vines will come back with a vengeance this spring.
You have such a kind heart
Thank you for all the videos on your amazing progress! I agree with the comment below about the gloves and hard hat. I wish you continued success, and I will be watching. I also have told my family to watch. Be safe...
I could almost feel the warmth from your fire. 🔥🙂
Yes, I can smell smoke too.
Great job Robert i applaud you for working so hard all by yourself with such enthusiasm. You are a man on a mission. I wish you much success on this home and look forward to the unveiling of this masterpiece. I am so excited for you. 🔨🔦🚙💝
Keep up the good work. Waiting for next video update. Stay safe and healthy 🇬🇧

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the house!
Great job Robert, I was a lot of work you've accomplished!
Congratulations on identifying the 105mm shell. I knew it was of military origin, but the "M57" kept throwing my search in the wrong direction.
Man I wished I lived close to you. I would love to work on this place.

What was the year on that calendar??
YES!!! I'm wondering the same thing
@@tashasmith6179 Definitely looked like July '98 to me! So someone was still living there a little over 20 years ago I guess.
I spotted this too
Saw a picture of Scotty on one of the interior walls!
Wow Robert are you doing all that alone?
Looks like alot of hard work...watch out for the lead paint in the house..
I watch you work and i have to laugh at the guy ive got putting my fence up around my old house...
3 mos now! Lol..
Man if you get out of this project without getting snake bit, it'll be a miracle.
Or spider bit 😬

Refurbishing old things is so satisfying. Love your videos showing the process.
? when u get everything done Are ongoing to live in the house or use it for a get away
Robert! Where is all your help?
I also wondered, as satisfying as he finds the work, just how often he wishes he had a second pair of hands!
Cody is in school, the other Robert has a sore ankle.
So exciting! Besides the attic, this is the closest to getting inside so far! I want in soooo bad!
Are you alone? Please be careful. I love watching your progress.
Wish I lived closer, I would bug you till you let me come help you. I love this!.. Be safe Robert.

Found you recently, looking forward to seeing what your plans are for this place. Do you plan to live there, and farm the land?
If only walls could talk.
The weird green paint was in my grandmother's house on walls, her pantry shelves, and on some furniture. I also found it in my 1916 bungalow on shelves and cabinets in kitchen. I think it was from the 30s or 40s.
amazing job
8:20 calendar on the wall and he just kept talking and did not say when the last time the room was used !!
I love seeing the work done on the actual house. Winter is here in a couple weeks and you will need shelter. Well that is my way of thinking.
You're very dedicated. Keep safe.

You definitely need a wood chipper.
Goats lots of goats
Good progress preserving history
I was tearing off the outer wall of an old machine shed.....crevices were stuffed with walnut shells.
🐿🐿 and squirrels. I really like the old corrugated tin.
Love those old doors ❣️
