  • showing how the 2021 version of the Aesculap Durati cordless Clipper handles a preshave on dirty matted hair.
I compared against Wahl km10 cordless, and Heininger Opal cordless. out of all three, the Durati went through like hot knife thru butter, there was more resistance and catching/ snagging/ skipping over undercoat with the Wahl and Heininger. The Durati was louder( especially with the wide blade used), but it also runs higher SPM at 3500 . I got the best finish on him I've ever gotten.

I’ve had my Durati for a little less than a year and it does not work this well! It will not cut through thick coats like this. Any tips on how to get it running like yours?

The durati being a single speed at higher SPM doesn't handle the torque of really tight blades, especially if they are wide.
I do run wides, but I have adjusted the tensioner piece to loosen the cutting blade And I oil often..
They do go through blade drives faster with wide blades, so change that out every couple months or so depending on use.. If it's acting worse than that. Say noisy or rattles, it's usually a loose screw which is allowing vibration in the motor. Take to a qualified Clipper guy or where you bought..

Sounds very loud. How have they held up? I need heavy duty for matted doodles.

Although video always makes stuff sound louder.. They aren't the quietest. I suggest for matted doodles the aesculap Fav 5 cordless( same battery as durati) more torque.. Goes through anything..I find with durati you need to understand clipper and blade maintenance. The blades need to be oiled, and not too tight

@@Carolokie3 I have multiple videos with multiple brands in them. I own heininger sapphire and opal.. This is louder than opal, when both are new. After time both will get louder as they need hinge and blade drive changed . Wide blades are hard on them..

@@itzaclip so you have more videos on here that i can watch? I have the opal and have not used it yet. I have ShihTzus too and my health has not been good so brushing every day has been too hard. They get so matted. I like to keep them short if i can so i can keep them cleaner. Thanks for your help!! I was looking at the Heiniger midi. Do you have that one?
