It's painfully obvious the other Blues was a clone made by the brilliant robotic alien zombie scientist Dr. Blues Wily, that's why she never mentioned it.
Having never played Megaman or Rockman, I thought Dr. Wily was an alien who died in the third game until Gamechamp's fourth no-damage run was posted. The Necronomicon thing spurred me to read a wiki and figure out whether Gamechamp was telling the truth about a game whose cutscenes are written in a language most of her audience (including herself) can't read.
I thought this video felt a lot less stressful than the other rockman videos, than I saw the death counter at the end and realized you were just gaming. Fantastic work!
Fun fact: If you pause on the final boss and leave it on all night, Alien Zombie Blues Wily starts talking about how he's mad at Megaman and eventually discovers he's in a video game, then he jumps out of the screen. You can make Rockman do this as well by unpausing, but he's guaranteed to take damage from jumping out of the screen, so I don't recommend it.
I love how Miss Gamechamp waits just long enough to make people hype when she releases but not so long that you forget about her. She’s ever present in the back of your mind, but only rarely makes that presence known, like a sleep paralysis demon who’s bad at video games.
Fun fact about Crystal Man: He only uses the bouncing projectiles when you're far away from him. So after the first time at the beginning of the battle, you can stop him from using it again by staying up close and sliding under his jumps.
As the guy who changed his patreon name to the oompa loompa thing, I wasn't sure if Gamechamp would actually sing it or just say it, but I definitely was not expecting her to continue singing more of the names on the list afterwards! Got a good laugh out of me, that did.
I have lost interest in most challenge youtubers, but there is something special about Gamechamp that makes me always excited to watch another one of her videos
It’s the semantic parts of the video. What other challenge runner would even try to prove that getting shot isn’t getting shot instead of just saying “cutscenes don’t count.”
The way I got so excited because I love this series and went "Oh wow, it hasn't been that long since the last one. I wonder-" I proceed to check and the last one was a year ago 💀 Not complaining, I just have go concept of time LMAO
I sure do love engaging with Ms. Gamechamp's videos so that the algorithm will recommend it to more people. And as a person with financial stability that enjoys her content, I also love supporting her on Patreon.
29:49 I think the knuckles video was a warm up to get us ready for this level of pedantry. Great video btw, that trivia in the cutscene is crazy to witness
Not quite Capcom, but Igarashi said that when making Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the rule for shipping bosses was that a boss only was ready if the designer making it could perfect them armed with a dagger. Basically ensuring that there wouldn't be any "cheap" hits that were unavoidable. It wouldn't shock me if a similar rule was in place in earlier productions as well as a bit of wisdom to pass around, not just old Konami.
The total latte count is now 41 (including 1 small, 1 to-go, 1 large, 5 implied, 1 awaiting the heat death of the universe, 1 for Wire fans and 1 that Eddie bought for you). Following along with all videos would now cost you $145.80 at Starbucks. Everyone make sure to say thank you to Eddie for buying you a latte. Another great video! I loved the semantics overload about the hit-that-wasn't. With all these perfect Rockman runs, people might start accusing you of being good at video games...
What I find even funnier is that she doesn't even go over the semantics of getting hit while frozen in the crash dash animation less than a minute before
Most challenge runners: yeah im not counting the unavoidable cutscene where u get hit because its unavoidable Gamerchamp: SO I EDITED THE RAM IN A EMULATOR FOR TESTING PURPOSES AND YOU DONT ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY GET HIT
Esteemed colleagues, I present myself as an engineer, a profession dedicated to the resolution of practical challenges. My expertise lies not in philosophical contemplations, such as the elusive nature of beauty, but in the realm of tangible problem-solving. Consider a scenario where a formidable adversary threatens to inflict significant structural damage upon my person. In such a circumstance, I propose a straightforward solution: the utilization of a firearm. Should this initial measure prove insufficient, the escalation to a more potent firearm is warranted. I trust this concise explanation adequately conveys my approach to problem-solving. Thank you for your attention.
This has always been my favorite game of the NES games. I've put so much time into this game and have never even tried this kind of challenge, so hats off to you.
25:54 Remember folks, "Damage shenanigans" via cutscene (which it wasn't. It was a means to reduce HP to 1 which when you think about it is redundant since we're already treating Rock man as if he had 1 HP already) is Not equal to damage in via gameplay. It's effectively Mario Odyssey without Jumping all over again. Blues just made this No damage run unintentionally official in-universe from this point in the game. This level of semantic waxing is why I love this legend!

Gamechamp could've just said "oh no the cutscene hit doesn't count". But NO. It was proven by looking into the game's code and viewing it in light of actual gameplay mechanics. That's dedication.
33:31 I've heard that The AVGN humself got to one of the final bosses but there was a glirch that happened somehow. So technically, it happened on tape. True story.
10:48 If you stay close, Crystal Man will not shoot Crystal Eye at you. He only does it, when you're far away, hence why he always does it at the start. If you stay close to him, he only jumps and shoots one normal bullet.

21:00 the fact this happens with so many old games is astounding to me
Fun fact: If you pause on the final boss and leave it on all night, Alien Zombie Blues Wily starts talking about how he's mad at Megaman and eventually discovers he's in a video game, then he jumps out of the screen. You can make Rockman do this as well by unpausing, but he's guaranteed to take damage from jumping out of the screen, so I don't recommend it.
I love Gamechamp’s crack-fic-esque lore to this whole thing.
14:41 paving the way for future runners, thank you for this public service Miss Champ! o7
I love how Miss Gamechamp waits just long enough to make people hype when she releases but not so long that you forget about her. She’s ever present in the back of your mind, but only rarely makes that presence known, like a sleep paralysis demon who’s bad at video games.
The best running joke in this series is grabbing unnecessary E-Tanks just because
@@danieldavid3766 what do mean unnecessary? Estrogen tanks are completely necessary
Queen, you went way too hard for no reason over that Blues cutscene... AND I'M LIVING FOR IT!
Fun fact about Crystal Man: He only uses the bouncing projectiles when you're far away from him. So after the first time at the beginning of the battle, you can stop him from using it again by staying up close and sliding under his jumps.
If Wily had had known Beat was coming he would have already been begging for mercy
Mega man 5 can be accurately summarized with “memorize their locations and eliminate them with a charge shot”
also I never knew about the despawning M-tanks thing
Crazy that they do that while the E-tanks don’t, making it very easy to not know about it
I jumped up in the air and shouted in public when I saw this in my recommended. We’re so fucking back dude.
cmon we all know you didn't go that far
it wasnt a loud shout but yeah im dead serious.
@@zacharyjohnson9562 so "i jumped up in the air and shouted" = "i sat up straighter and went 'oh.'"
As the guy who changed his patreon name to the oompa loompa thing, I wasn't sure if Gamechamp would actually sing it or just say it, but I definitely was not expecting her to continue singing more of the names on the list afterwards! Got a good laugh out of me, that did.
“Yes. So you call him blue, despite the fact that he is obviously red”
“Y- Uh.. you know, the... One thing I should... excuse me for one second.”
Blues, he's named after music
@@velvetbutterfly The music isn't blue, either.
@@timothymclean it's meant to make you feel blue, not be blue

I have lost interest in most challenge youtubers, but there is something special about Gamechamp that makes me always excited to watch another one of her videos
It’s the semantic parts of the video. What other challenge runner would even try to prove that getting shot isn’t getting shot instead of just saying “cutscenes don’t count.”
25:16
I find it hilarious that while frozen, if D3 lands into you, it'll still take damage.
The way I got so excited because I love this series and went "Oh wow, it hasn't been that long since the last one. I wonder-" I proceed to check and the last one was a year ago 💀 Not complaining, I just have go concept of time LMAO
Also I love the precure computer background
The phrase "It's a cutscene so it doesn't count", just does not matter here. Love it, Ms. Gamechamp.
I'm starting to think half the reason for this series is to show off how many Rockman enemy names she knows. 😛
Great video, as always!
Genuinely how have you not gone insane yet holy hell.
what do you mean she hasn't gone insane yet have you seen her videos
Yeah specifically in the kh re:com run
She went insane a long, long time ago
I’m gonna say the kh2 run or some other run before that, idk
This challenge only took 2 days to beat in about 10 hours I believe maybe more. Game champ was just that bad at the video game
Alright, fine, I'll admit it. "...turning Wily's health bar into a time limit" was a pretty hard line.
Now that you mention it... I wonder if Capcom even expected anyone to beat any of the levels without taking damage, let alone the entire game...
@@Snow_Fire_Flame I assume this rule wasn't in place when MM2 and MM3 were released, then.
I was waiting for this one, to see how you would get past Blues Castle 4. I learned a lot today. Thank you Miss Champ.
41:07 GameChamp doing her best cover of the oompa loompa song from willy wonka and the chocolate factory.
I love the alternate storyline for these damageless runs
WAKE UP EVERYONE SHE’S HERE
I'll wake up once I have my beer.

The legend has emerged!
What I find even funnier is that she doesn't even go over the semantics of getting hit while frozen in the crash dash animation less than a minute before
@@Asiago9 exactly. methinks the cutscene hit breakdown was a distraction from the true hit
Most challenge runners: yeah im not counting the unavoidable cutscene where u get hit because its unavoidable
Gamerchamp: SO I EDITED THE RAM IN A EMULATOR FOR TESTING PURPOSES AND YOU DONT ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY GET HIT
Esteemed colleagues,
I present myself as an engineer, a profession dedicated to the resolution of practical challenges.
Thank you for your attention.
engineer tf2 moment
exactly what i want to watch right now while im high and sleep deprived thank you gamer champion
She really is gonna do every classic Rockman game, huh? The amount of dedication this takes is commendable.
This has always been my favorite game of the NES games. I've put so much time into this game and have never even tried this kind of challenge, so hats off to you.
25:54 Remember folks,
"Damage shenanigans" via cutscene (which it wasn't. This level of semantic waxing is why I love this legend!
tbf Mario odyssey had an in-game counter
do we even know if it actually reduced hp? it coulda just been visual
Most anticipated video of 2024 for me
(Now that this video's out it's MM6 no dmg)
So, long story short, we finally have the answer:
Imaginary damage doesn't count as damage.
Everytime I think we've achived the peak, Gamechamp uploads another run of the next game and I'm amazed everytime
I literally _JUST_ completed my first play-through of Rockman 5 and was seeking out the Rockman 4 video for some residual catharsis. The Gamechamp challenge run distribution system has smiled upon me this day
5:38 - 5:44 Good to see "Run away like a little robot baby" is still a valid strategy!

I love the person who put your outro inside the patreon names. 43:11
My goodness lady gamerchamp, rules-lawyering yourself into AND out of a mission failed. This is the label of immaculate quality I have come to anticipate.
I really enjoy how Miss Champ's consistent tone about the relative importance of things left me genuinely surprised that collecting all those letters did something other than, like, turning Rockman silver for a silly bonus
3:10 You missed the opportunity to say something like, “Wave goodbye to Wave man.”
Miss Gamechamp going on a rant about a hit being categorically not a hit according to the games own mechanics it's the semantics and tomfoolery i've come to know and love from this show
All i have to say thus far beyond "impressive as usual ms.gamechamp" is "jyro mans".
Addition: gamechamp is now associated with busters of the myth variety.
I love the precure wallpaper that just suddenly appears in the video. Nice touch.
Ms Champ is so nice, after all this time, still pretends that I’m going to attempt her wild challenges.
Thank you for believing in me, even when I don’t
I've watched so many of your videos and at this stage. I'm more interested in the absolute "NUH UH YOU DIDN'T HIT ME FUCK YOU" Energy more than the gameplay (which is still massively impressive) But god, The amount of "I did all this to prove I'm still good" Just scratches the brain so good cos you know there will be people still complaining.
It's nice to see you back ma'am, now i have something to leave on repeat until the next installment!
I laughed when you mentioned Gyro Man, and I laughed harder when you mentioned Gyro Attack.😂
40:25 - Funniest Patreon backers names ever so far.
Hope they'll be just funny in Rockman 6 damageless in the future.
This is better than most Netflix shows
40:17 so we’re just gonna go over the fact megaman HELD UP AN ENTIRE CASTLE
WAIT GUH
I love how every time she invites us over, Ms. Gamerchamp is always unafraid to tell us when it's time to get out.
Gamechamp could've just said "oh no the cutscene hit doesn't count". But NO. It was proven by looking into the game's code and viewing it in light of actual gameplay mechanics. That's dedication.
33:31
I've heard that The AVGN humself got to one of the final bosses but there was a glirch that happened somehow. So technically, it happened on tape. True story.

If you stay close, Crystal Man will not shoot Crystal Eye at you. He only does it, when you're far away, hence why he always does it at the start. If you stay close to him, he only jumps and shoots one normal bullet.
I can’t believe it was always Gyro man instead of Gyro man! Do you know how long I’ve been calling him Gyro man?
