Jojo part 1: done. This was a prologue for the future parts but man if it was good. Many people thinks this is the worst part just because there are less things compared to the others, but I enjoy it every time i rewatch it: definitely the most underrated part to me. Can't wait for your reaction to what comes next! Musical references of the episodes: Doobie is a reference to the Doobie Brothers; the 4 zombies that fought against Tonpetty and Straizo shares the surnames of the 4 members of the Led Zeppelin; father styx is a reference to the band styx; while wang chan is a reference to the wang chung, another band. The fact that Jonathan spilled out the wine before the last fight was a premonitory sign of death, as Zeppeli said some episodes ago. Btw, Jonathan was 21 when he died and also Erina said "a new life inside me", meaning she was pregnant. RIP to our goat Jonathan... he wont be forgiven. His death was the real thing that made me love jojo from the start, cause seeing an MC dying permanently in an anime is so unique to me. Oh yeah, also today it's speedwagon's birthday day lol
I think when people refer to it as the "worst" part, I think they mean it isn't as good as the other parts, but still good. I dpnt see any genuine hatred for part 1.
I agree. It's not bad by any stretch, I love it. But it is clear that Araki hadn't quite found *himself* yet. Part 1 is a fantastic adventure that benefits from some incredible pacing... this story could have taken up the run time of another Anime entirely, yet it's so concise, so high-octane, that it really rushes by. And I believe that's to it's benefit. It gets you in the door and hyped for the parts to follow. No one should complain about being handed a Gold Bar, just because it's followed with gifts of giant diamonds and platinum statues in vaguely suggestive shapes. 😅
It’s weird to think it was supposed to originally end at 3 But continued for 3 more Ended technically Then continued differently but wasn’t supposed to at first
They did a really good job concluding this part. I feel like introductory arcs/parts get considered the "weakest" usually, but they gotta get the background out of the way for the future. WOW, I didn't even think about the wine spill like that. What a detail. I completely missed that sub of Erina, so we're going to have two kids in the next episode. It was weird seeing the MC die, and I heard the MCs differ from each part, so that will be interesting to see. Happy belated to the man!
im so glad you are enjoying the ride so far! its a long road ahead! buckle up! when you were talking about how jonathan did everything right but dio's freezing was too broken, well jojos has a lot of that not only fists but a battle of brains! and even if it looks like theres no way to win, never give up. btw: at min 34:00 erina says that there was new life growing inside her 👀👀 so its not only the baby she rescued. i mention this bc many people miss that little line...
Mm. A very good thing to note. It's always a little sad, how understated that is, and how it messes with people going into Part 2 to have no sense of the family. By the time it's explained again, it's pretty well forgotten. And yes... JoJo's perfected the art of Clever, Tactical battles back when Manga were obsessed with who had the higher power level, or arbitrary Power of Friendship giving them bigger beams or stronger punches. Araki created a whole new style of battle that was not only brilliant in how clever it was... but made you excited to start trying to predict how each little detail could turn the whole game upside down. It's awesome!
I really do gotta think different when it comes to Jojo because of that. Being stronger doesn't necessarily mean you will come out on top. It's refreshing seeing the fights like this. Oh wow. Now we will have two kids in this next part. Wonder what roles there gonna play
Heaps of people don’t like part 1 (me too, I’m sorry the other parts are just more fun for me personally) but I always appreciate when people watch it because it’s where I started from. My personal favourites are part 6 and 4. Part 3 drags on a bit so don’t binge it because that’s what made me hate it originally, but if you watch it in intervals (like I’m doing now) it gives you more time to actually process and enjoy the characters a bit more. I actually am really enjoying rewatching part 3, but I’m Ngl I was only rewatching part 2 for the villains
Looking forward too seeing what Part 2s villains are all about. I heard Part 1 is the weakest, but I enjoyed it. Can't wait for what is in store for the future parts!
R.I.P Jonathan Joestar😢. The most Underrated Jojo
RIP 🐐

Jonathan Joestar was born in 1868 and passed away in 1888, at age 20 btw
That's embarrassing I messed up that simple math lol
Didn't you missed the line "the life inside me"? Erina didn't only saved that child, Erina was also pregnant.
I completely missed that. Gonna be interesting to see how the story moves forward now

THUNDER CROSS SPLIT ATTACK
Straizo: "No fighter has escaped it."
meanwhile, every time the attack was done in the series:
He just forgot to tell us that he never actually used on a fight lol
NAHH 🤣😭
Part one completed! 🌟
Lol I felt that "Ohhhh" at the start 😂 I like the new look bro (pause)
lol. Appreciate it bro!
7:45 Top tier JoJo meme 😂, Rest In Peace my boy Johnathan 🙏
He pulling that move out with no hesitation LOL. RIP to the main man!
He was 19/20 years old. Your math is not mathing
Ya that is a bad error lol. I somehow passed Calcs. 1-3 😭
Hey, just so u know, a lot of names may be localised depending on the subs ur using. The comments will prob let u know.
Honestly, this is my favorite ending to a part, literally full cicle.
So well done! Had me in awe at the end
Imagine an anime adaptation of part 1 but with the rock as jonathan joestar or anyone of the team: zepelli or speedwagon
