Petco is definitely in the perfect category. Doesn’t get much better than that park. Not to mention the energy after last year and going into this year is going to be insane. They’ve already sold out quite a few games before the year starts
Come to T mobile it has amazing vibes when it's an important game. Toronto, New York, Houston and Boston series is always a lot of fun too. Toronto especially with many Canadians coming down. Bar Hop around the stadium and go through the street vendors plus public transit options. It's a blast bro. You'll have fun.
The best baseball experience I've ever had was at progressive field. It was the 'Bug Game' during the playoff series against the yankees in 2007. We didn't know what was going on until they showed a close up of chamberlain on the screen and he was covered in the midges, then we looked up to the lights and they were everywhere, tens of thousands of them. The yankees couldn't deal with the bugs but the Indians powered through. After the Indians tied it up (I think it was the 7th inning) the 44,000 plus fans were going all out. Then we have extra innings and in the 11th, Travis Hefner hits the walk off single and the stadium erupted. It was downright magical. I also got to witness 2 different triple plays in that stadium. All this to say that sure, you can rank stadiums on material things but those experiences are what give them value to the fans, and all of them have value. Great video, thanks for making me think about my favorite baseball experience!
Outside of San Diego's version of "Tent City" getting way too close to the ballpark now, I don't see how it isn't in the perfect category. Great park, and you literally have like 100 bars and restaurants next to Petco.
@cameronguzzo you'll feel sad for other stadiums, after you do visit. It is that good. Oh, and come hungry and thirsty. The food and beer selection is second to none..
i took a google street view tour of the park. looks awesome, i would love to go sometime. I'll just have to acquiesce to going to a bunch of games at wrigley this year
Plus the atmosphere is electric right now. I went to a game in July 2021, and the buzz inside the ballpark (as well as outside in the surrounding downtown area) was almost like a playoff experience. I really was blown away, it was only July. And they were shut out in that game as well. Didn't matter, the fans were into the entire game.
I think its one of the best ballparks, definitely in the top 2 that ive been to, but i dont think its on the same level as the top 3 in the perfect tier. Its next up though for sure. I like where you put petco
Love this tier list! Everything is pretty much where I would put them myself and I've been to 23 stadiums. The only critique I would say is in Arlington, you have a really sweet area called Texas Live, it is very similar to the battery in Atlanta! Definitely makes it a fun time to hang out before and after games!
I'd put T-Mobile in the Perfect category. There isn't a bad seat in the park, the bullpen plaza and center field standing room create an awesome vibe, and the sunset views are incredible. The best food/beer selection in the league too IMO.
I'd put it a step below perfect. The 300 level in right field and the center field bleachers are pretty terrible seats. I love the bullpen plaza from the concourse angle, but I feel like so many home runs just go into the bullpens instead of the wait arms of fans in left and left-center field. The sunsets over Puget Sound are gorgeous, but you really can't see them from inside the stadium too well. The outdoor plaza outside the 300 level along the 3rd base line is incredible, though! I'm nitpicking, but I do love the place. The food/beer selection is really great, as you said.
@@jefffinkbonner9551 I'm a big fan of the CF bleachers since they cost like $10 on the secondary market. 300 RF definitely sucks but I'll give it the credit for being the absolute last place in the stadium to keep sunlight. I'll take some warmth up there as a redeemable quality.
The roof at Miller Park (Milwaukee) is more to prevent rain-outs (vs keeping out cold). I've been at games with heavy lightning, flood warnings, hail, tornado watches - you name it. Games played on. As far as "nothing around" - a lot of bars and restaurants have shuttles to and from games; there is also a district just north of the stadium that has several bars and restaurants. A lot of fans actually tailgate in the lots before games.
Yeah I’m a bit miffed he didn’t bother mentioning about the superior tailgating there. I agree It is much better with the roof open, but if atmosphere is a criteria for him; the tailgating with Brewer fans is unmatched.
Progressive Field in Cleveland put up those "shipping containers" to reduce the seating capacity. I thought you liked it because of the friendly vibes for your generation. There's an area which you can mingle with others that's your age. Then there's the bar area north of the ballpark within walking distance of the park. One of the things that would be removed from it will be the restaurant that's in the glass enclosed pavilion which is down the third base line. Not bad for a 28 year old ballpark. So, I would put it in the good not great.
Gret job Cameron. This was the best MLB park ranking vieo I have seen. I like how you explained the rating criteria in the begining and then placed each park in a certain catagory.
Dodger stadium is boring. Along with Kauffman I just don't see what makes them so great. Cookie cutter dimensions and nothing terribly interesting about them in terms of appearance.
Totally agree. Dodgers Stadium looks good on tv but in reality... oh my god ! The stadium is very-very old (not in a good way), hard to exit parking lot, seat are uncomfortable. Should drop to flawed category.
Recent development surrounding Angel stadium has included several breweries and places to eat. The new-ish ARTIC transit depot has moved the train station a little further away, but really improves public transit to the park, which is pretty unique for so cal.
great video! How many parks have you been to? My one big disagreement is Dodger Stadium's location. It's a lot further away/more isolated from things than it seems, and getting there/parking is an absolute nightmare. I would definitely put it in the great category instead of elite for this reason.
Astros fan and been to Enron... I mean, Minute Maid Park many times. It's not dark and gloomy. I still prefer the Astrodome over this park, but it's a great place to watch a game. This ranking is waaaaay to low.
Cold temperatures are MAYBE a problem in Minnesota for the first couple weeks of April and the later weeks in October. And not even every April or every October. It just wasn't worth the hundreds of millions of extra dollars it would have cost to put in a roof. And given how tight the footprint they had to fit Target Field into was, it probably would have either had to be built like a box that feels like it's indoors even when the roof is up (which is my problem with Miller Park), or they would've had to move it to a different location. And the location is just too perfect, both from a sightline perspective and because of the transportation options in the area, to pass up on it just for the 5-10 games a year that need it. All this is to say, I think Target Field should be a tier higher.
I was looking for "the most recent best stadiums in baseball"this morning and found your video....I'm from near Pittsburgh and I haven't watched far enough into your video yet(watching right now almost halfway through your list lol)but so far,so good brother.Good job, good video!
I'd definitely put Truist Park in the Elite category. It's a top-5, top-10 ballpark, easy. There's not a bad seat, the food is great, and The Battery is awesome and it's definitely a neighborhood that's open year round with restaurants, bars, and fun things to do. Having five decks means every seat is on top of the field. Having 10K less seats than the cavernous Turner Field makes for a much more intimate 42K or so, and the the last row of the upper deck at Truist is actually closer to the field than the first row of the upper deck at The Ted.
@@MattLovesVinyl It's not really a problem for night games. Atlanta is not Houston, Arlington, Phoenix, or Miami which need a retractable roof. Day games in the summer are hot, but I wouldn't say brutal. The stadium is the third highest stadium in elevation in baseball after Coors Field in Denver and Chase Field in Phoenix.
@@cameronguzzo If you do a day game, try to avoid the 3rd base line. That sun can be brutal. Thankfully, there are a lot of places like the Chophouse you can escape from the heat.
Hey, I enjoyed your commentary on each ball park, for the most part, your ranking is pretty damn close to what I think I would pick and you’ve been to a lot more stadiums than me, being from Philadelphia, I appreciate the “great”ranking, we do pride our self, as being one of the few cities that have all our stadiums in one location, and while they are surrounded by the parking lots, there are a few walkable venues close by there is a restaurant in the stadium that you can get to from the outside also, and there is a full entertainment venue across the street where the old arena The Spectrum used to be,called Xfinity Live, and now we have a brand new casino/hotel a block away from our stadiums called Live, that is where the old Holiday Inn stadium used to be. Great video 👍⚾️
Willets point next to Citi Field will be renovated and NYCFC will build a stadium prepared to open up in 2027 affordable housing a hotel and retail will also open Citi Field for soccer is also awesome
Dude, if Petco is not in your perfect tier than you have no cred with me. With walkable top tier entertainment district “Gas Lamp “ just steps away for great night life and fantastic dining, a central downtown location, perfect weather even in April and September, amazing in park food and beverage options (over 25+ local brewery options),views of our downtown skyline and the Coronado bridge, and easy to get to from anywhere in San Diego. I have been to Pittsburgh, Wrigley and SF parks, and while they are great parks as well, NOTHING, I mean nothing, compares to Petco. Reclassify Petco as elite as I think you may have not been to the park is all I can come up with. If you come, I will host you to a game 5 rows up from the Padres dugout and you’ll get the whole Petco tour and see a great Padres game and the elite San Diego Petco experience.
I had it as my first ballpark below the perfect tier, but I feel like it could definitely move up once I visit. I might have to take you up on that offer! Haha
Problem with San Diego, is the same problem with the Bay. Which is mostly a California problem. Honestly both parks feel the same especially outside of the park with the vagrants etc. Design wise I edge in favor of sf but only cause I'd rather look at the oakland hills and bay Bridge rather than western metal building.
You literally described pnc in a nutshell. Access to great nightlife/hotels/casino/dining anywhere you want right on north shore or take the T over to Main Street downtown and walk to the point and enjoy the fountain. Or if that’s not your speed take the T over to southside and enjoy the nightlife over there and hit the incline. You said you’ve been to Pittsburgh but I can tell you didn’t experience Pittsburgh. There’s a reason most people who have lived here always come back. The city is gravity.
Tal's hill was a terrible feature at minute maid park and alot of players complained about it. The park really isn't "dark" considering there is plenty of light that seeps through the outfield side of the park.
I’ve only been to Dodger Stadium and Wrigley Field and I gotta say, Chicago has a great stadium for their Cubs. I want to see a game at every stadium in the MLB
Went to my first game in Detroit last year and thought it was a very fun ball park and better than average. I’ve been to at least half of the parks and think you have Comerica and Minute Maid underrated.
Great list! I think you could have ranked the Rogers Centre or as Jays Fans like to call it the SkyDome a little bit higher because it crosses off many of the categories that you talked about in the video. 1) It is a hitters park 2) It is located in the heart of downtown Toronto(top 10 city N.A) which will provide fans easy access to a variety of dining and entertainment options. 3) You can see the CN Tower while you are watching the game if the retractable roof is open I agree that they could make use of upgrading and creating more seating areas to improve the overall fan experience and my main problem with the SkyDome is that it is a stadium and not an actual baseball park which is why I would never rank it in the top 2 tiers but I believe it could land in tier 3.
I do like the renovations they have done and definitely would have it higher. I would also point out that SkyDome is also historically important with its roof. It was the first MLB park with a retractable dome, so it should get marks for that reason (and yea I am aware that 1989 is nowhere near the age of other parks but come on we are an expansion club). Also even when the Jays are not doing well the atmosphere in the stadium is always great.
The bank is in South Philly right off the I95 Ramp. Traffic around there is not as bad compared to football season. The only brutal time if theirs more than one event going on in that area. Baseball playoffs/Eagles games or When you have one philly team playing at noon, another philly team playing at 4pm and then another philly team playing at 7pm on that same day. Trust me Ive done that and that was brutal.
As a huge cardinal fan, the one thing limit busch from perfect is the food, not much variety at all and could do so much better considering the kind of food we have in St. Louis
It's a great thing fans don't show up to Great American Ballpark. Reds COO shit on fans last year and asked where people were going to go. And fans answered. Fans won''t support an owner who trades everyone and has a low payroll. Espexially when every other team in the city is doing well. Shouldn't be a negative at all. Should show how passionate Reds fans are. Hopefully they get sold soon.
As a cubs fan I’m so glad you said perfect tier!!!! The only thing I disagree on is the blue jays stadium tier, I really actually liked the 80’s feel to there stadium because there’s not many places like that are designed like that anymore.
Wrigley Field is one of those places where every time you go you feel like you experienced it for the first time again.. It really is an amazing ball park
I remember ppl around here had thought the same thing “oh we need a retractable dome “Target field rarely gets snowed on after march . In fact if there’s snow and really cold out to effect baseball after march it’s really really rare.
Tell me, what exactly keeps Coors Field out of being in the Elite ranking? Since it has what you've dinged other parks for not having: a nice, thriving, historic neighborhood around the park with lots of dining and drinking options and there's no giant expanse of parking lot to be found, so it's absolutely walkable. I'd figure it'd be a shoe-in. Just my bias, I guess, it's my beloved home park. Thanks for the like, anyway.
The disrespect in the rangers stadium is crazy it should be in the Elite category for me when I visited there it truly it a great experience u can’t say it’s bad until u have been there amazing experience fora Game and especially for how good they are.
Steve Cohen wants to revamp the area around Citi Field. As far as I know he wants to work with the community to see about making it more enjoyable before and after games
Top 5 ballparks in the league.....minus Wrigley and Fenway. 1. PNC Park - Pitssburgh 2. Petco Park - San Diego 3. Oracle Parl - Dan Francisco 4. Camden Yards - Baltimore 5. Coors Field - Denver Honorable Mention: Busch Stadium - St. Louis
I don't think Nationals Park is in a bad area and is very conveniently located. I do agree the stadium itself is very generic and boring. I also think you should add transportation to your stadium criteria, both by car and public transportation. I think DC would rank very high in this area and Arlington might be dead last.
also as a dallas native i’d go even further than saying “not very walkable” for Globe Life. Arlington is the biggest city in the US with no public transportation and they have very strict laws about minimum numbers of parking spots per building. absolute joke of a city that is entirely hostile to pedestrians and a complete concrete eyesore with no interesting topography to speak of. also globe life looks like a costco.
I’m a Mets fan from New York so I’ve been to citi field for a bunch of games. I’ve also been to Philadelphia twice to see Mets vs Phillies, Yankee stadium a few times, PNC park and Fenway. Citi is obviously my favorite park especially now with cohen owning the team a lot of hype and excitement I’m 20 so my younger years as a fan when I was 8-12 were some pretty bad teams and no one was showing up to the games. I like Fenway because of the history and Boston is a cool city, pnc I feel is a bit underrated and citizens bank park is cool too especially mets vs Phillies a lot of Mets fans travel down to Philadelphia to see the Mets play them so it is always a good atmosphere.
Have heard great things about PNC park, just wish they had a better team. Wrigley and Fenway are nice as well. Went to Guaranteed Rate Field almost 15 years ago and the minute we got there for a night game, we wanted to go back to Wrigley where we were earlier in the day.
GREAT VIDEO. I am about to go to my first baseball game ever @ Citi Field this year. I also kind of agree with the pirates park I can't believe that place has such a nice view
Seating comfort should be your number one concern in your rankings. I'm sorry, but stadiums that have bleacher benches suck, especially if you have back problems.
Not sure you should factor in TV appearance. A couple of these got knocked down just because it doesn’t look perfect on TV, yet my experience in real life begs to differ.
You should also use access to public transportation as criteria for a great stadium. You'll be surprised (or not surprised) why some teams choose their location. I'd love to elaborate if you'd like.
I'm biased, but I would put Target Field as Elite because much like Wrigley Field, the foul territory is small so every seat feels closer to the action. I think at this point, it's better than Camden Yards. I often hear it compared to PNC Park, which I agree is beautiful.
I have not been to all current ball parks BUT I have been to 49 diffrent ball parks in my life. MY top 5 are PNC Park Pittsburgh Safeco Field Seattle Coors field Denver Tiger staduim Detriot Petco park San Diego Bottom 5 ' Comesky Chicago Dodger Stadium LA RFK Washington DC Metrodome Minn Tropicana Tampa
Olympic Stadium in Montreal must be on the Bottom 5 list, no question. Worst stadium ever. Looks good from outside, looks horrible from inside. And we put 1.5-billion $ this year for renovation... Even Dodgers Stadium is way better than Olympic Stadium.
Well done! You are obviously a true baseball fan. I totally agree that PNC is a great park, probably the best. When I catch Braves games there I get a front row seat in left field. Super view, very reasonable price. Best deal in MLB.
@@cameronguzzo to me it’s even better now. The money they’re actually putting into the stadium is doing wonders. More interactive kid areas over the past year. The center field bar area is excellent with a great bbq spot behind the batters eye. It’s only going to get better (as is our team hopefully now) 😂
Great list honestly as a dodgers fan but I also currently live in Texas and while you are right about the similarities between it and Houston, it doesn’t really feel like houston and has its own unique set of qualities. Also there is plenty to do with Texas love being right next to it and two other stadiums border it also not to mention six flags is less than a mile away
I’ve been to Fenway Park once to watch the Red Sox play the Blue Jays on July 14, 2018! (Ironically I still remember that day) I’m amazed at Xander Bogaerts for pulling off that walk-off grand slam!
You did Globe Life dirty… The game day experience is phenomenal the food is delicious! It’s modern pretty and a super fun place to watch a game. Been to 10 stadiums, I would say Globe Life is elite.
There’s actually a ton to do after and before games at the rangers stadium. You literally have Texas live connected to it and that’s like a food court of bars, just a playground for adults
You didn't rate Mets' stadium well because of the neighborhood it is in. It is in Queens, where they have always been. Same comment about Yankee stadium, which has always been in the Bronx. WHAT ROCK DO YOU LIVE UNDER? NOW I GUESS WHEN BIG LEAGUE TEAMS ARE OVERHAULING THEIR STADIUMS THE TEAM SHOULD BE REVITALIZING PARTS OF THE CITY ALONG WITH UPGRADING THEIR STADIUMS. Geez. Mindless people are doing stadium reviews.
I live near Seattle. I'll be honest I cannot be unbiased. I love T mobile park. When I was a kid we used to go to game's in the Kingdome. It was a terrible multi sport concrete blister. The Mariner's current stadium is a great place to spend a summer night.
They tore down all the mechanics around Citi Field. This is to make way for a stadium for the New York City Football Club MLS team opening up in hopefully 2027. Hopefully that will make the Willets Point section of Queens better.
Good ranking. Lifelong STL'n and Cardinals fan, and I think "elite but not perfect" is about right for Busch. Perfect on playoff nights in October, but man it can be brutally hot in the summer before the sun sets; and while "Ballpark Village" is fun, it's put a lot of small business bars and restaurants out of business downtown. I hope you get there for a weekend or playoff game because I would argue for the best game-day atmosphere in MLB. I'd also knock off a few points for in-stadium food amenities, I think personally they are second-rate. Best are the Kohn's Pastrami Dogs by section 144.
you should come to an a’s game on 4th of July or when the Giants come across town before the coliseum is gone. despite its flaws it has a vibe that’s unlike any other ballpark i’ve ever been to. the fans are awesome and the atmosphere is great. if only the ownership wasn’t deplorable and it had been well maintained and renovated I don’t even think you’d have to built a new park. it’s way too far gone now though obviously
In the late spring/summer afternoons, the sunlight comes in through the huge left field window, and it almost looks like they're outside. ua-cam.com/video/NJ4FIShJrDs/v-deo.html
I think your perceptions of Minute Maid Park may be due to the fact that you have only seen the stadium on TV and most games that you see on TV are playoff games that are played at night. The stadium is not at all dark and if anything you get a sense of immense size. The entire left field wall is 100% glass when closed giving you an unobstructed view of downtown. On the main concourse the concession stands are on the outer permiter which for es you to keep your eyes on the field. On the upper levels this is reversed and the concession stands are on the interior permiter with the outside being windows which brightens up the area. The weakest part of the stadium used to be the outside area. You can argue that is still is a little given that the North and East sides of the stadium are bordered by a parking lot and a freeway. But the rest of the area is filled with restaurant's and bars. One thing that the stadium is well known for is it's food scene. They went out of their way to make sure that well known local eateries were represented inside the stadium. You want Elote and Pupusas? Done. BBQ and Tex-Mex? Done. Creo and Italian your fancy? We got you covered. What about a freaking Veggie Burger? We got that too.
When I go to a ballpark, I'm more of a background observer during games. So my opinion on angel stadium, dodger stadium, and some others, not much of a background look. I also grew up going to texas rangers games and I have never had complaints about the new ballpark. It's close to the old ballpark and dallas cowboys too.
Just went to 10 new stadiums this season, been a blast trying to see them all, from the perspective of a Pirates fan: 1. Coors Field- 10/10 2. PNC Park- 10/10 3. Fenway Park- 10/10 4. Camden Yards- 10/10 5. Citizens Bank Park- 10/10 6. Miller Park- 10/10 7. Target Field- 9/10 8. Rogers Centre- 9/10 9. Citi Field- 8/10 10. Kauffman Stadium- 8/10 11. Truist Park- 7.5/10 12. Minute Maid Park- 7/10 13. Comerica Park- 7/10 14. Angel Stadium- 6/10 15. Nationals Stadium- 6/10 16. Great American Ballpark- 5/10 17. Busch Stadium- 4.5/10 18. Yankee Stadium- 4/10 (holy smokes it sucks, it's so much worse than Citi Field, just had to comment on that because it's the most recent Stadium I've been to (went to last game of season on Sunday) and it's ran so horribly and a dump compared to the Mets Stadium, good for Queens) 19. Progressive Field- 4/10 20. Guaranteed Rate Field- 4/10
if you watch the 2019 playoff clips, Minute Maid Park was lit up so bright, the brightest lights in baseball we were told. I guess someone complained and they're gone now.
I spent half my life in the USA, but we lived in a city with no MLB team anywhere near it. I used to go to our local minor league team often, but the only MLB game I ever went to was in KC. The stadium isn't in the best location (it's several miles away from the city) but it's a great ballpark with great seating and it's been well maintained despite its age. The Royals were winning when we went (I think it was the year they lost to the Giants in the World Series) and the fans were very into the game.
17:23 - I had seen, in your views of stadiums shown in this Yt before, advertising signs of Xfinity, but I don't see that here in Philadelphia, home of Comcast.
I've been to most but not all of them. I think the video does a great job. I think I would probably bump up Cleveland (I don't know that the containers are enough to call it flawed, I think it's pretty average), Detroit, San Diego, and Minnesota up a tier, and I probably move Boston, Dodgers, and White Sox down a tier. Boston and Dodgers are great from a historical point but the stadium feels too dated (Fenway especially) to call it elite.
I think I mostly agree with this list. Especially what u said about Miami. It's easy to hate on for people who haven't been, but I've been twice and while it does have a bit of an arena feel to it, the vibe is great. I'm a little surprised Coors isn't bumped up a tier, I've never been but everyone I know who has absolutely loves it.
There are 5-6 that deserve to be above Busch. When you are in your seat it is great, but you can’t see the field walking around the concourses which should drop it down a tier. The concessions on the insides of the concourses are a major flaw for when the stadium was built. All of the other stadiums built in that time and newer have concessions on the outside. The majority of stadiums in great I rank above Busch.
Is a genius move to put Citizens Bank Park, Wells Fargo Arena Lincoln, financial Field. In the same area. You’re the only person who made a complaint on that.
I’ve been to Fenway, Yankee, Guaranteed Rate, Angel, Wrigley, GABP, Miller, Petco, Oracle, and Dodger Wrigley, Petco, and Fenway are my absolute favorites
I've read that the renovations to the Cleveland ballpark are going to be massive...... It will be interesting to see what you think after the renovations are completed.

Good list. Only issue is that there’s no way Dodger Stadium and Petco are in the same tier
Dodger stadium is boring. Along with Kauffman I just don't see what makes them so great. Cookie cutter dimensions and nothing terribly interesting about them in terms of appearance.
@@kingamity1985 it also has like the largest parking lot i’ve ever seen, at least what i’ve seen on photos
Thank you!! I’ve been to 15 of the 30 so far. Good info on Dodger Stadium. I know traffic can be ridiculous there too so that can’t help things.
totally agree, getting to dodger stadium is horrendous even if the place itself is awesome and historic
Astros fan and been to Enron... I mean, Minute Maid Park many times. It's not dark and gloomy. I still prefer the Astrodome over this park, but it's a great place to watch a game. This ranking is waaaaay to low.
Dude, thank you, for giving a positive review of loan depot park. I really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for the support man!!
This just made me even more excited to visit this year!!
@@cameronguzzo Make sure you go before mid-May or at the end of September. The summer heat and humidity in Atlanta is brutal.
@@MattLovesVinylI was born their but moved when I was 6 month but I went there last summer and the heat and humidity was so nice
Yeah. Now the 6ers want to build and area in center city. There is no way, I want to drive into center city to see a game.
Nats park is literally in the best area of DC for everything that he wanted lol.
#truestory
You literally described pnc in a nutshell. Access to great nightlife/hotels/casino/dining anywhere you want right on north shore or take the T over to Main Street downtown and walk to the point and enjoy the fountain. Or if that’s not your speed take the T over to southside and enjoy the nightlife over there and hit the incline. You said you’ve been to Pittsburgh but I can tell you didn’t experience Pittsburgh. There’s a reason most people who have lived here always come back. The city is gravity.
Lol California sucks so much...
Dodger Stadium is a mess. Literally have to walk up one hundred stairs just to get to the lowest floor.
@@jasonrandom372 That’s my only gripe with it and I’ve been going to Dodger games since I was a kid being a So Cal and all
Great list! I’ve been to 11 of these ballparks and pretty much agree with your opinions on all of them
Love Comerica, especially with them changing the lights to LEDs for next season, you gotta visit in the future
1) It is a hitters park
2) It is located in the heart of downtown Toronto(top 10 city N.A) which will provide fans easy access to a variety of dining and entertainment options.
3) You can see the CN Tower while you are watching the game if the retractable roof is open
I agree that they could make use of upgrading and creating more seating areas to improve the overall fan experience and my main problem with the SkyDome is that it is a stadium and not an actual baseball park which is why I would never rank it in the top 2 tiers but I believe it could land in tier 3.
Truist and Bush are definitely perfect ballparks. I haven't been to petco since it's first couple years it opened, but will be going this season
@@aydanpatrick9182 yep!
I remember ppl around here had thought the same thing “oh we need a retractable dome “Target field rarely gets snowed on after march . In fact if there’s snow and really cold out to effect baseball after march it’s really really rare.
As others have pointed out if your biggest knock against minute maid park is the darkness, then it should move up a tier. It's not very dark at all.
PNC is perfectly ranked and I have zero complaints. Good video.
1. PNC Park - Pitssburgh
2. Petco Park - San Diego
3. Oracle Parl - Dan Francisco
4. Camden Yards - Baltimore
5. Coors Field - Denver
Honorable Mention: Busch Stadium - St. Louis
I’m a Whitesox fan and I completely agree with you
The stadium sucks
They got a rid of the kids zone
And the only thing that is good there is the food
I don't think Nationals Park is in a bad area and is very conveniently located. I do agree the stadium itself is very generic and boring. I also think you should add transportation to your stadium criteria, both by car and public transportation. I think DC would rank very high in this area and Arlington might be dead last.
Reallly the new one? That’s an L on their part if that’s the case
@@adanalyst6925 I meant the Rangers in Arlington, Texas would be the worst ballpark transportation-wise.
@@GABESTA535 They just built that in the parking lot of their old stadium, right?
also as a dallas native i’d go even further than saying “not very walkable” for Globe Life.
Thank you!! And wow, first game ever! Have fun, you're going to remember it forever!
i really can't argue at all with your rankings. well done!
Seating comfort should be your number one concern in your rankings. I'm sorry, but stadiums that have bleacher benches suck, especially if you have back problems.
I'm a Yankee fan, but the traffic leaving a Yankee game is as nasty as you can get. Philly is not picnic, either.
Philly is a cakewalk
NYC is working on redeveloping the neighborhood next to Citi Field including builiding a stadium for New York City FC there
Not sure you should factor in TV appearance. A couple of these got knocked down just because it doesn’t look perfect on TV, yet my experience in real life begs to differ.
Detroit has a merry-go-round… comprised of Tiger instead of horses. It’s a great stadium.
Petco is perfect. I’ve been their twice and it’s so nice.
I’d probably put the nats in the same tier you did. But I don’t think I’d say it’s in a bad area. The navy yard area has become very nice.
I have always loved the Indians stadium. I've never been there but it just stands put to me.
You should also use access to public transportation as criteria for a great stadium. You'll be surprised (or not surprised) why some teams choose their location. I'd love to elaborate if you'd like.
*cough* Atlanta *cough*
I also wish Camden Yards didn't have the LF fence moved back.
Food/beverage options, quality category?
Bro what?! The Marlins homerun statue was atrocious 😳😳
Hell nah it was the best thing in that stadium
I'm biased, but I would put Target Field as Elite because much like Wrigley Field, the foul territory is small so every seat feels closer to the action. I think at this point, it's better than Camden Yards. I often hear it compared to PNC Park, which I agree is beautiful.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Target Field years ago.
I have not been to all current ball parks BUT I have been to 49 diffrent ball parks in my life. MY top 5 are
PNC Park Pittsburgh
Safeco Field Seattle
Coors field Denver
Tiger staduim Detriot
Petco park San Diego
Bottom 5 '
Comesky Chicago
Dodger Stadium LA
RFK Washington DC
Metrodome Minn
Tropicana Tampa
Olympic Stadium in Montreal must be on the Bottom 5 list, no question.
Worst stadium ever.
Looks good from outside, looks horrible from inside.
And we put 1.5-billion $ this year for renovation...
Even Dodgers Stadium is way better than Olympic Stadium.
Well done! You are obviously a true baseball fan. I totally agree that PNC is a great park, probably the best. When I catch Braves games there I get a front row seat in left field. Super view, very reasonable price. Best deal in MLB.
Appreciate it! Yeah PNC is INCREDIBLE in every way honestly
You did Globe Life dirty…
The game day experience is phenomenal the food is delicious!
It’s modern pretty and a super fun place to watch a game.
Been to 10 stadiums, I would say Globe Life is elite.
There’s actually a ton to do after and before games at the rangers stadium. You literally have Texas live connected to it and that’s like a food court of bars, just a playground for adults
Honestly, there’s PNC and Petco then there’s everything else.
That’s a solid take
Oracle park laughs in your face
Ive been to these and Oracle still dominates by a mile.
And PetCo?? Really? That place is a dump… nice warehouse though…
Fenway????
Target field is borderline elite with the only thing being depending on the month you may want to bundle up lol but such a nice stadium
Why did you use the team logos in the rank list? Don't the stadiums have logos too? (good video either way)
They do (and I put them in the top corner) but I just wanted to make it was easy as possible for everyone to know which stadium I put where
You didn't rate Mets' stadium well because of the neighborhood it is in.
14:53 probably because of how disastrous the Metrodome was lol
You’re probably right 😂
I live near Seattle. I'll be honest I cannot be unbiased. I love T mobile park. When I was a kid we used to go to game's in the Kingdome. It was a terrible multi sport concrete blister. The Mariner's current stadium is a great place to spend a summer night.
Minute Maid isn’t dark and gloomy.
Like… at all. You need to see it in person and not on TV.
But there is a huge difference when the roof is open. It's elite when opened, but mediocre when closed.
Dude, you gotta see a game at T-mobile Park, it's elite-perfect. It's a gorgeous stadium, and you'll have an amazing experience!! Go Mariners!
you should come to an a’s game on 4th of July or when the Giants come across town before the coliseum is gone. despite its flaws it has a vibe that’s unlike any other ballpark i’ve ever been to. the fans are awesome and the atmosphere is great. if only the ownership wasn’t deplorable and it had been well maintained and renovated I don’t even think you’d have to built a new park. it’s way too far gone now though obviously
Dodger Stadium is surrounded by parking lot, surprised that didn’t get mentioned
Great job! I know you haven’t been everywhere it a proper ballpark ranking has to include a food category.
Minute Maid Park is awesome. its not gloomy at all in the park. Its my favorite of any major sports stadium ive ever been in
In the late spring/summer afternoons, the sunlight comes in through the huge left field window, and it almost looks like they're outside.
ua-cam.com/video/NJ4FIShJrDs/v-deo.html
@@cauwama oh you aint tellin me nothin new. I go to like 16 games a year. lol
It's close to the old ballpark and dallas cowboys too.
great list felt very honest
Can you believe that Coors Field is already the third oldest ballpark in the National League!?
Just went to 10 new stadiums this season, been a blast trying to see them all, from the perspective of a Pirates fan:
1. Coors Field- 10/10
2. PNC Park- 10/10
3. Fenway Park- 10/10
4. Camden Yards- 10/10
5. Citizens Bank Park- 10/10
6. Miller Park- 10/10
7. Target Field- 9/10
8. Rogers Centre- 9/10
9. Citi Field- 8/10
10. Kauffman Stadium- 8/10
11. Truist Park- 7.5/10
12. Minute Maid Park- 7/10
13. Comerica Park- 7/10
14. Angel Stadium- 6/10
15. Nationals Stadium- 6/10
16. Great American Ballpark- 5/10
17. Busch Stadium- 4.5/10
18. Yankee Stadium- 4/10 (holy smokes it sucks, it's so much worse than Citi Field, just had to comment on that because it's the most recent Stadium I've been to (went to last game of season on Sunday) and it's ran so horribly and a dump compared to the Mets Stadium, good for Queens)
19. Progressive Field- 4/10
20. Guaranteed Rate Field- 4/10
if you watch the 2019 playoff clips, Minute Maid Park was lit up so bright, the brightest lights in baseball we were told. I guess someone complained and they're gone now.
After the renovations the rodgers centre is such a nice experience and deserves to be higher
22:02
There is literally a Six Flags right next to it
Plus no more 100 degree games.
I wish the Dodgers would build a new stadium. It looks so bland on TV.
Chase Field is great. Not a bad seat. Game atmosphere is awesome. Nice open concourse. I’d call it elite but definitely not flawed.
Good, solid analysis.
Hot take: Tropicana Field (Tampa) is underrated. Still mid at best but very underrated. Oakland is hands down the worst park
Where you get that hat ?
This is the video that we were all waiting for.
I’ve been to Fenway, Yankee, Guaranteed Rate, Angel, Wrigley, GABP, Miller, Petco, Oracle, and Dodger
Wrigley, Petco, and Fenway are my absolute favorites
I could only imagine the atmosphere at PNC if Pittsburgh got a major league baseball team!
I've read that the renovations to the Cleveland ballpark are going to be massive...... It will be interesting to see what you think after the renovations are completed.
