Thank you for this detailed comparison video my friend it is really helpful! I have one question, if you could tell me what's your opinion would be avesome. I bought FifineT669 about a month ago but I have to say that it has high noise floor even when I turn down the gain knob to minimum I still can hear some hiss sound in the background. I can remove that in post process but it's still quite annoying. I wasn't aware of this Maono brand until today. I watched a few videos about it but especially I'm interested in this budget model you tested in this video. Even if after watching your video I'm nearly sure that Maono has a nearly noise-free sound but can you please share your opinion comparing Maono to Fifine T669 which was has a lower noise floor? According to your reply I might order Maono as well. Thanks again for this video friend, curious to hear your opinion.
Hello! Thanks for watching ! Going by memory, I think the Maono may have a lower noise floor if you really listen to it and are looking for it. But I’ll take a closer listen once I get to my computer and give you my feedback !
So after listening to it closely with headphones, the PM461TR is slightly quieter than the T669, but the Mackie EM-89D is by far quieter out of the bunch. Only thing is that the overall setup costs is higher with an audio interface. You’re paying more but also getting more overall. The Mackie EM-USB is also quieter than the T669 as well. Hope this answers your questions !! (FYI I used the Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen for my sound test with the Mackie EM-89D XLR mic)
@@GoWrightReviews thanks for this detailed reply! As I understand in this case I should be ok with my T669 for now since there is not a significant difference in sound quality between T669 and PM461TR , only noise floor is slightly higher but I guess I can get away with post-process. Thanks again friend! Guys like you definitely deserve much more subscribers and views since you spend the time , reply to everyone and try to help people. Much appreciated , I subscribed to your channel and will follow you up definitely.
Great video! I'm new in this stuff and I have a couple of questions Maono 461 picks up the lower tones, is it going to be a problem for recording? and, between Fifine K678 and Maono 461, I really couldn't realize how much is the difference in sound quality, which one is better considering the sound quality and noise floor?
Hey! Thanks for watching. Honestly… soundwise? They are both good but different I’m their own way. The PM-461 TR picks up low tones a lot more than the K678 kinda makes you sound like a radio host would. Some may like this but some not as everyone’s voice is different. Try listening to both mics in the video with a good set of headphones, maybe this will help in hearing the difference as well. If anything, you can also do some EQ adjustments using voice meter for lives or audacity for recordings. See the videos here attached on how to do that using both software. Hope this helps in some way 👍🏾 Voicemeter:ua-cam.com/video/L3WcvETI7g4/v-deo.html Audacity and premiere pro:ua-cam.com/video/fcRIsiYnesA/v-deo.html
Honestly, I would recommend the k690 and pm422 over the au 903. Between the two, Just pick the one that has the right feature set for you. They are different microphones with different features so it’s hard to say one is “better” than the other in this case..
They’re all different microphones! I personally would recommend either of the mics over the Maono au 903 just based on sound performance. The k690 sounds great too but has extra features like the change in polar patterns so if you value this feature, then feel comfortable getting the k690. The pm422 is more rounded and has the accessories that would be good for singing (pop filter ) so this may be good for your purposes. Hope this helps !
What do you think i should get for the best quality and budget price, I dont really care about accessories and the quality of the moc itself just the sound quality. Great video btw
Man, really tricky to choose as they all sound pretty good! I did a detailed sound test for each mic at the end of the video so you can see what sounds better to you, but if I had to pick only one, I’d probably get the Mackie em-usb. I like the sound, the look, build quality and feature set. If you are really tight on funds, soundwise, I also like the Maono PM461TR for how it picks up the lower tones. Somewhat more bass than the other mics (if you like that sound). Hope this helps, and thanks for watching, I appreciate the support 🙏🏽
@@GoWrightReviews thanks for your honest opinion. So I just ordered the Mackie em-usb. (Mainly to record my acoustic guitar as it seems to have a nice balanced-neutral sound (as conveyed in your other detailed review). Its also on offer for 38GBP (~50USD) here in the UK. Which I think is astonishingly good value. PS you have a easy listening smooth radio voice. Keep up the Good work ! You got my sub.
Firstly, let me say that I appreciate you reaching out and letting me know you got value from the video. Secondly, I think you got a great product as well, at a good deal. I will be interested in hearing your personal feedback once you do receive it. Have yourself a great day !!
Honestly, one of my favourite mics in this bunch is the Mackie em usb. I find it has a nice tone, at least for my voice, and low noise floor. It also has live monitoring once you set it up in the settings. It cost a bit more but it’s a nice USB plug and play option.
The T669 is a nice mic but very sensitive. It tends to pick up a lot of the ambient noise if you are in a quiet room, but there are some post production fixes for that which I covered in a Seperate video. The T669 has great build quality, metal construction and comes with a nice set of accessories. I feel the PM461TR has somewhat better sound out of the box but the build quality isn’t there in the same way and doesn’t come with the same type of accessories. I would weigh what’s most important to you between the two and pick accordingly. Hope this helps!
@@GoWrightReviews I am from India and currently we're having Great Summer Sale on Amazon and Flipkart. The Maono PM461TR costs $22.76 and FIFINE T669 costs $39.52. Build quality doesn't matter for me. I just want my vocals to sound professional. So,which one should I buy??
Really can’t say which is best. It’s really subjective to what your needs are. If they made this list then it’s save to say you’re getting a good product .
All are great budget mics in my opinion. That’s why they made this list. So personally, I would simply pick the mic that fits in budget and has a feature set that you would find important.
What should I choose k678 or t683. Other than accessories i am only considering the best voice and sound quality out of these ... So pls tell me which one should I get
@@GoWrightReviews I am creating a gaming and streaming setup ... And I think voice is very important for gameplay voiceover purpose ... I am confused as they both have mute button and gain control knob
Hmm…. I think the K678 would be a good pick. It’s the mic that I’ve used and have experience with out of the two. Can I ask What the range is for your budget?
@@obito_op_gaming4307 the k678 also has live monitoring as well ( so you can hear how you sound in the mic through wired headphones and also use it to hear any content playing on your computer. You can pick up the accessories later if you like.
Either device would do the trick just fine. Especially if you’re doing recording, you can always do some light processing to the sound to make it ideal. Both are solid mics so chose based on your budget.
Im stuck between PM461 and the K678. I just want to monitor my microphone while I'm wearing IEM's as well as a solid mic for Zoom Calls and Gaming. I can get the PM461 w/ arms and everything for 40usd while I can get the K678 solely for around 50. I am really torn between the two. Any thoughts?
Hello! So if you would like to take advantage of the live monitoring then the only option between the two will be the k678. It will definitely be usable without the extra accessories for Now. You can always add those accessories in the future with the k678 while you can’t add live monitoring with the PM461. Both are great beginner mics, you just have to ask yourself what you prioritize most. Hope this helps makes things a little easier for you. Let me know if you have any other questions 👍🏾
Hey! Sorry, I read your question wrong. The figine t669 has the better build quality. Soundwise, I would prefer the pm461s as the t669 is good but pretty sensitive to environmental sounds. Hope this helps.
I wouldn’t say one is better than the other, but it comes down to what you prioritize as features. I feel most will be satisfied with the K678 when compared to 658. Both have phenomenal builds and feature set but overall I feel the k678 to be more practical/affordable.
