Maliketh is the one I'm most excited for, it allows you four things that help immensely: 1) You're pulling a low cost card to better increase your turn 6 pull odds being good 2) You're adding an undertermined amount of power, exact same reason Blob has a place in snap 3) You can allow for combo plays for turn 6, if you pull a 3 cost card, your turn 6 is potentially 9 cost of power 4) Oponent doesnt know how much to comit to that lane. Hood wont be run with it, but even in the worst case where you pull a hood, you go, aight, I'll ditch that lane, but the opnent has zero clue what you have so will overcomit to that lane. It adds so much imo and I'll defo pick it up

I just don't see Malekith being bad. I think what will happen is, this week people will over engineer decks for him and concluded he's bad, then a few weeks later we'll be seeing him in a lot of lists. He just gives so many benefits. Plays a card for free, thins your deck, AND helps you win locations like death's domain and Luke's bar.
Hopefully, we get to see december cards in the datamine tomorrow. That will determine whether Im going to save or grab malaketh. Thena variant is tempting though....

Here's half an idea for Malekith: Ronan/Darkhawk deck: If Malekith pulls Korg/Maximus/Master Mold, they're always a good card to play whether early or late. If he pulls Mystique, you can always spare Ronan/Darkhawk as the final card, also with caveat you get all 3 Ongoing down.

(He’s said he’s ordering trade paper backs and catching up somewhat) but I want to learn from someone who grew up studying the blade rather than someone who squandered time and is now doing “catch up”. Maybe your new, maybe your still learning, and with that comes discovery of better information sources. But as fun or entertaining as those cozy tv vids are, on some level what Cozy is doing is stolen valour. There is a renaissance happening in western comics, I honestly recommend picking up a comic or 500. ✌🏽

Thor: The Dark World is not great, but there’s some good stuff in it. I really love the escape from Asgard scene where Thor and Loki are on the little flying speeder or whatever. That scene feels like it’s right out of He-Man, but in the best way. Like it’s proof that a live action He-Man COULD work AND be dope af. In my opinion 😅
I'm basically 100% sure Pixie cards will not impact Malekith at all (it's also a bad card for the deck builds because you don't want Malekith pulling her.) Snap has very specific wording: When it says "a card that costs 3" it always means the current cost of the card. That's why a Gwenpool hit by Zabu can't be played on Crimson Cosmos but can be played on Big House. Same for Black Bolts text which says "the card that costs the least" it's saying current state. However, any time it says "a 3-cost card" it always means the original cost of that card before anything impacted it. That's why Surfer will still buff a Wolfsbane that's been hit by Iceman, but won't buff an Absorbing Man that has been hit by Zabu. This is the wording used in Malekith's text.
Note that I agree Moon Knight makes this muddy because they messed up his new text he should say "Discard a card that has an even-cost from each player's hand" in order to maintain their wording consistency.

If you build your deck with 2/3 cost cards that have an affect for the theme of your deck then Malekith will play into that perfectly. You choose the 1,2,3 costs so you can skewer the deck so you always get something that will benefit you.
Cozy, even if the video is a 10 out of 10 it’s always a MUST that every once in a while to make the video that you want to make rather than just making videos for it to perform well
I was playing Black Knight discard before Scorn came out. Now I’m playing that, plus got Proxima from the spotlight. And yeah, she’s amazing. Her jumping the to lowest power location is something you can maneuver to your advantage in a way that’s totally unique. And she has won me so many games. Great card.
The history of snap was an absolute BANGER of a video. I recommend it for the most seasoned snap players and even new players to the game, so we all we never forget what snap once was and the newert players can see how broken some old cards were versus todays.
I'm excited for Malekish. Once I knew you can see the card you pull I was set on getting him. I think hes going to be a very useful card. Initially I want to try him with grandmaster, but I think he'll be good in a lot of different decks. Imagine you pull a mystique with him. you can then set up your Ajax or other ongoings on the final turn like a pseudo invisible woman.
Magik is a powerful, yet precarious card. I’ve played a lot of Magik, from Negative-Surfer to those crazy Black Panther-Wong decks to playing She-Naut as my go to decks for several seasons before it got power crept. When you play her, timing is crucial, especially depending on what your opponent is doing. And you’re extremely vulnerable to location change. And there’s more location changers now. Legion, Nocturne, even that one new location that changes the other ones randomly, etc. I’m not surprised at all that her win rate is that low, but I think that’s fair. Honestly, Magik feels pretty well balanced to me. Plus, I have a beautiful ink/rainbow krackle split of her. Two actually, one on Phoenix variant and one on Midnight Suns variant, because I split them before they changed it so that you could only get one combination of effects per card lol 😂
As someone who enjoys Pixie and has played her quite a bit, I think Malekith will just pull a card that is naturally 1,2 or 3 cost. I remember playing her relatively early on and after playing her Hell’s Kitchen revealed, which gave me a 5 cost Nico. I would assume Malekith operates the same way, so unless that has changed I expect him to pull a natural cost.
Imo SD is dropping thr ball but not working closer with the content creators. Regis just brought up this same issue in his recent cache openong video and it seems like a major oversight. I play a wide variety kf ganes and imo SNAPs content creators and community in general is one of the more tighter knit and cooperative gaming groups ive interacted with. From what ive seen SNAPs creatora are mote willing to work together and collab than most other spaces which is something SD could capitalize on. But instead it seems SD doesnt see the easy opportunity right before them
I think Malekith will be very good in a Good Cards kind of deck since those decks run cheap cards that have good power value for their cost. It also works with the Agent Venom lists because while it loses 2 power from him, the guarantee of pulling an additional buffed Sage/Speed/Silver Sable/Even Cassandra Nova as a "lowroll" is super good

Lol no. They just changed scream and kingpin from not effecting unrevealed cards, it was too powerful. And besides it's only a counter/effective to 3 cards, one location, or the worst part priority. So no please
Pocket just shows how unbelievably bad Snaps performance is. App is so god damn slow and buggy since launch.. Pocket is brand new and everything happens instantly with zero bugs or crashes. No excuse.
I agree in terms of the UI. But the gameplay of Snap is much more snappy (pun intended) than Pocket. Hopefully the presence of both games forces them to make improvements to keep up!

I long ago stopped thinking about which cards were which series (outside of the fact that pretty much every new card is series 5), so I would have done horrible in that game as well (or did, as I guessed along). Clog could be making a comeback if malekith enters the meta. Remember, ww kiss doesn’t destroy until REVEALED cards fill the location. Oppo will be sitting on a -4 until the match ends. Could be good.
Malekith works well with high value cards whose ability SUCKS. Maximus, Sword Master, Ebony Maw, Gladiator to a degree. High value Deck. And as a backup you include Cosmo and Zero perhaps??
34:30 I really want to like black knight but you really need the stars to align for him to shine. The ebony blade being 4 cost is so clunky that if you don't get a infinaut blade with a ghost rider follow up it almost never puts out the power that you need.
Magik feels like a trap card, some decks absolutely need it, but your opponent might benefit greatly from a turn 7 as-well. Magik should work on turn 6 as a surprise play to mess with your opponent's final strategy.
34:30 that underplayed statistic is strictly based on spotlight failure, the week it came out modok, stature, both of these where not barn burners of a cards at the time/if you where playing discard you had modok, plus that month had wearwolf and Nico, Then the only other time to get black knight in a spotlight was Namora skarr, so again not barn burners of cards at the time, And that’s it the last time that we had an opportunity to get black knight was 6 months ago, there was also the whole 10 buck thing variant This is a failure on second dinner not the player base
Excited for Frigga video. As far as malekith goes, at the very least he can be a simple 4/9+ and THINS THE DECK. If u hit a card u can play around, great. Think toxic ajax. You can't normally do both on same turn so have to do some funky plays to get it out, but if malekith pulls her, all bets off. Unload.
Will Malekith look at original cost or altered/discounted cost? Pixie was mentioned and if it would work on Pixie cards then couldn’t it also work on cards that have been hit by Zabu (pulls a 4 that now cost 3) or Negative (could pull a flipped White Tiger)? 🤔
I would love to play more Ironlad and other underrated cards, but I need more deck slots. 😢 20 is not enough for me. Between my Cozy decks, RegisKillbin decks, and my home brews, I'm struggling to decide what to keep in and what to temporarily swap out! We need to petition for more, or maybe Cozy can put in a good word for us. 😭 😁
Something to consider with card win rate is ownership %. My guess is Speed's ownership is low. So the players using Speed are likely more experienced, possibly creators or whales. Would that win rate hold if more people use it? Possible, depends on the card complexity.
I wonder if Malekith could be super good/consistent in Hela. If he is able to help pull out Luke Cage, that could be a big deal. Also thins the deck to find Hela… another very helpful tool. Play Jubilee, Malekith, and Blink. Would almost but guarantee the Hela.
I'm sure Malekith will be best in Darkhawk/Ronin decks. That's where I'm trying to put him. Pull your korg, rock slide, Master Mold on 4 that you haven't pulled yet. Also if you pull mystique then play both ronin and darkhawk on 5 and 6 and mystique will copy the last one you play. Perfect fit.

It really seems like the Snap devs take a lotta vacations throughout the year, and the holiday one is the longest. They're usually out of the office for 6 weeks or so.. and with all the games popping off this Winter.. I'm not sure that's wise.
Magic isn’t just a tempo problem, early development you made deck for extra turn benefit you. Now , few decks get hurt by extra turn. So you lose tempo and don’t help your cause as other decks love extra turn
Man, Dekkster really said it best. SD has gotten too greedy with the monetization. Knowing TPC they’ll catch up with all of these but I hope SD patches the bleed for now
If you build a surfer deck with malekith, you dont slot him into a surfer deck. You have to play a malekith surfer deck. I don't know if that will be any good. If you hit surfer obviously thats the nuts, but you dont even want Shaw and Brood in that deck. Id be interested to see if sage, killmonger, gladiator, swordmaster can make it and just thin the deck to find surfer
It's funny, on the exact momment i was watching Overrated or Unferrated, just Clogged the enemy side whit Aero 2 times, taking me to Victory ( going from 94 to 95 rank) was thinking, maybe they will talk about how she's underrated, and then BOOMMM Alex Bullied the nice lady T_T
The real value of Zabu for the past year+ was getting a 4-cost out on turn 3. End of story. The lesser value was playing two 4's on turn 6. Given that the math on the new version means you have precisely HALF the chance to play a 4 on turn 3 that you used to (roughly 10% per 4-cost in your deck now vs roughly 20% the previous version), and valuable 2's like Shadow King, or even Skaar often hitting 2-cost to pair with a 4 on turn 6 anyway, new Zabu is quantifiably trash. Value 4's, and especially turn-3 combo starters (Wong et al) lament his passing.
I kinda think he will be best with pixie.... Not all 3 costs want to be revealed at the end... like cassy nova or even a brood endgame would fuck you not being able to play 3 cards down in one spot to recieve the surfer buff...

Malekith won't be able to pull a pixied card. In the text it has a capital C so that means it has to originally be a 1, 2 or 3 cost

I see Malekith fitting well into a Dracula Drop deck. I don't know why everyone forgets about that archetype.
I have been occasionally playing a Pixie/Dracula Drop deck, and I always surprised myself with the power it can put out.

When you play her, timing is crucial, especially depending on what your opponent is doing. And you’re extremely vulnerable to location change. And there’s more location changers now. Legion, Nocturne, even that one new location that changes the other ones randomly, etc.
I’m not surprised at all that her win rate is that low, but I think that’s fair. Honestly, Magik feels pretty well balanced to me.
Plus, I have a beautiful ink/rainbow krackle split of her. Two actually, one on Phoenix variant and one on Midnight Suns variant, because I split them before they changed it so that you could only get one combination of effects per card lol 😂

As someone who enjoys Pixie and has played her quite a bit, I think Malekith will just pull a card that is naturally 1,2 or 3 cost. I remember playing her relatively early on and after playing her Hell’s Kitchen revealed, which gave me a 5 cost Nico. I would assume Malekith operates the same way, so unless that has changed I expect him to pull a natural cost.

Imo SD is dropping thr ball but not working closer with the content creators. Regis just brought up this same issue in his recent cache openong video and it seems like a major oversight.
I play a wide variety kf ganes and imo SNAPs content creators and community in general is one of the more tighter knit and cooperative gaming groups ive interacted with. From what ive seen SNAPs creatora are mote willing to work together and collab than most other spaces which is something SD could capitalize on. But instead it seems SD doesnt see the easy opportunity right before them
I think Malekith will be very good in a Good Cards kind of deck since those decks run cheap cards that have good power value for their cost. It also works with the Agent Venom lists because while it loses 2 power from him, the guarantee of pulling an additional buffed Sage/Speed/Silver Sable/Even Cassandra Nova as a "lowroll" is super good

Lol no. They just changed scream and kingpin from not effecting unrevealed cards, it was too powerful. And besides it's only a counter/effective to 3 cards, one location, or the worst part priority. So no please
Pocket just shows how unbelievably bad Snaps performance is. App is so god damn slow and buggy since launch.. Pocket is brand new and everything happens instantly with zero bugs or crashes. No excuse.
I agree in terms of the UI. But the gameplay of Snap is much more snappy (pun intended) than Pocket. Hopefully the presence of both games forces them to make improvements to keep up!

I long ago stopped thinking about which cards were which series (outside of the fact that pretty much every new card is series 5), so I would have done horrible in that game as well (or did, as I guessed along). I bet newer players that are still currently climbing the ladder are much more in tune with that, and would do better than most, on average..... Great video, as always. Thanks!

Malekith works well with high value cards whose ability SUCKS. Maximus, Sword Master, Ebony Maw, Gladiator to a degree. High value Deck. And as a backup you include Cosmo and Zero perhaps??
34:30 I really want to like black knight but you really need the stars to align for him to shine. The ebony blade being 4 cost is so clunky that if you don't get a infinaut blade with a ghost rider follow up it almost never puts out the power that you need.
Magik feels like a trap card, some decks absolutely need it, but your opponent might benefit greatly from a turn 7 as-well. Magik should work on turn 6 as a surprise play to mess with your opponent's final strategy.

Excited for Frigga video. As far as malekith goes, at the very least he can be a simple 4/9+ and THINS THE DECK. If u hit a card u can play around, great. Think toxic ajax. You can't normally do both on same turn so have to do some funky plays to get it out, but if malekith pulls her, all bets off. Unload.
this card works great in hela discard deck, just having luke cage in the deck and pull it out with this. BOOM all the reduced power will be back.

Will Malekith look at original cost or altered/discounted cost? Pixie was mentioned and if it would work on Pixie cards then couldn’t it also work on cards that have been hit by Zabu (pulls a 4 that now cost 3) or Negative (could pull a flipped White Tiger)? 🤔
As a player with no Gwenpool, i'll use him in Surfer and Sera control deck, that is how fun your snap can get.
I would love to play more Ironlad and other underrated cards, but I need more deck slots. 😢 20 is not enough for me. Between my Cozy decks, RegisKillbin decks, and my home brews, I'm struggling to decide what to keep in and what to temporarily swap out! We need to petition for more, or maybe Cozy can put in a good word for us. 😭 😁

Something to consider with card win rate is ownership %. My guess is Speed's ownership is low. So the players using Speed are likely more experienced, possibly creators or whales. Would that win rate hold if more people use it? Possible, depends on the card complexity.

I'm sure Malekith will be best in Darkhawk/Ronin decks. That's where I'm trying to put him. Pull your korg, rock slide, Master Mold on 4 that you haven't pulled yet. Also if you pull mystique then play both ronin and darkhawk on 5 and 6 and mystique will copy the last one you play. Perfect fit.

Magic isn’t just a tempo problem, early development you made deck for extra turn benefit you. Now , few decks get hurt by extra turn. So you lose tempo and don’t help your cause as other decks love extra turn
I want to go on record and say I hit Infinite on Friday and it was mostly thanks to Thanos Surtur. Amazing win rate I had with it.

If you build a surfer deck with malekith, you dont slot him into a surfer deck. You have to play a malekith surfer deck. I don't know if that will be any good. If you hit surfer obviously thats the nuts, but you dont even want Shaw and Brood in that deck.
Id be interested to see if sage, killmonger, gladiator, swordmaster can make it and just thin the deck to find surfer

The real value of Zabu for the past year+ was getting a 4-cost out on turn 3. End of story. The lesser value was playing two 4's on turn 6.
Given that the math on the new version means you have precisely HALF the chance to play a 4 on turn 3 that you used to (roughly 10% per 4-cost in your deck now vs roughly 20% the previous version), and valuable 2's like Shadow King, or even Skaar often hitting 2-cost to pair with a 4 on turn 6 anyway, new Zabu is quantifiably trash.
Value 4's, and especially turn-3 combo starters (Wong et al) lament his passing.
I kinda think he will be best with pixie.... Not all 3 costs want to be revealed at the end... like cassy nova or even a brood endgame would fuck you not being able to play 3 cards down in one spot to recieve the surfer buff...
