Finally somebody else not blaming the refs. The Sixers lost because they couldn’t make plays when it needed to be mad, the inbound play, not getting a rebound, the making shots.
Well the official word is out. Yea they should have made their free throws and rebounded.. BUT FROM THE LEAGUE : og defensive 3 s not called. Embiid not called for a foul, Maxey fouled twice before turnover and nurse should have got the timeout he called. So…. They called nothing! Any of those alter the game. Calling nothing allows the Knicks to get opportunities they cashed on

Diehard Knicks fan...there were some bad calls both ways, and non calls both ways. I will say that we certainly had some fortunate bounces in that game. However, the Knicks hustle and determination at the end can't be overlooked...rebounding, blocked shots, getting after the ball while 6ers are standing around.
Maxey was great for 2 games, outside of a couple plays...Embiid is doing his best on one leg...supporting cast is weak.
Brunson hasn't been Brunson yet, and we're up 2-0...lot of series to go still.

At the end, Tyrese didn't fall to flop, and it isn't a foul. He leaned back to dodge Brunson, and then when Hart got in, he ripped the ball away. His center of gravity wasn't over his legs, it was behind, so he couldn't stay up.

I am a Knicks fan but I honestly tune into other teams streams just to get their perspective on things not too hate. That play at the end absolutely was a foul you can't argue that, if a knicks fan argues that they are homers. I will say Brunson was grabbed and fouled on every inbounds play as was Maxey it wasn't just not being called for the Knicks and if you actually watch again you can't argue that. That Kyle Lowry foul that was overturned also a foul. However, the Deuce play on Maxey absolutely should've been a jump ball and lets be honest nurse 100 percent called a timeout. At the end the sixers still have to box out but that timeout should've been granted then we prob lose. That is my honest take and I enjoy your content from a basketball perspective

Now listen. For me this L is 70% Nick Nurse 30% Maxey. First of all, after Brunson shot, I expected the time out immediately. Maxey...Maxey failed twice to do the right play.
I enter last night game expecting a 15 points lose and I was shocked that in spike of Tobias, Hill, all the poor shooting and Joel at 40%, we had the game almost iced before the debacle.
Said that, I expect a complete turn around shifting the series back to Philly.
I'm not surprised by the reaction from the game but I'm one of those that has been watching your channel for a while and enjoyed your opinion of your team. I'm not going to argue semantics about baiting fouls, which both Brunson and Embiid do, or having a reduced squad in some fashion, which we both do, but this is the second time we have been told about a game that the more talented team should win and they just don't. We were told the same thing about the series between us for four games, of which Embiid played just one but the doors were blown off of you by us. I do appreciate the way you looked at what happened on that pivotal play and actually called out the push by Maxey. You're the first Philly personality that did and I applaud that. But your team lost this game. Your front office hasn't equipped your team with a bench comprised of more than just average meat sticks that are too afraid of the moment.17 bench points over two games isn't going to work, and unfortunately your two man team that is very much dope can't play all 48 minutes. Their inability to rise to the occasion is why these games are competitive without Brunson scoring like he does and the absence of Randle for us. Morey has failed this process by not getting the help you need to maintain. And Karma? It just swung back our way after Reggie Miller with the 8 in 9 seconds. Not all of us are mindless trolls, but all fan bases has them; yours included. But we will see you in Philly.

I'm not a fan of either team, but that was an extremely entertaining game to watch. I like your objectivity saying Embiid also got calls his way at times. Tbh, the way I saw it was basically the same. Maxey pushed off Heart (foul) to create space to receive the inbound. He then gets chased down/pushed (foul), and he drops to the ground. This is the playoffs, and it's the last minute of the game, so I don't expect either to get called, nor do I want that. I think Maxey made the mistake of trying to sell the foul; but you can't do that in that situation. You can't go down and you gotta hold on to the ball and protect it like a RB or WR and not let anyone get it away from you. Instead, he goes to the ground and tries to make an impossible pass and essentially gives the ball away. Tough lesson but I bet next time he is in that situation, he'll hug the ball until he hears a whistle

The first two games were fixed.. Blatantly.
Thing is Batum could have prevented the initial bounce off the rim 3 by Brunson on that first play.
Lowry and Brunson both fell, Hart and DiVincenzo ran right away to the ball on the floor while Batum just stood like a statue watching as DiVincenzo snagged it.
Maxey also could have got there quicker but dude was probably gassed from keeping you all in the game understandably.

My issue is that they wouldn't let Nurse call a timeout even though he tried twice - before the inbound and when Maxey had ball on floor. And nice call out of Batum dogging and not blocking out Hartenstein - i handn't noticed that. The ghost calls that we weren't getting will hopefully be gone when we play at home.

This is by far the best breakdown of that pivotal play I've seen so far. I disagree with Stephen A Smith that Tyrese was "mugged". Can there be a foul call? Sure. But are they obvious fouls? No. Maxey was focused on selling a foul rather than securing the ball. Lowry initiated the hero ball, Maxey continued it and paid the price in the end.

That brick by Tobias vs Hart, I literally called it play by play style before it happened to my gf that has no info on basketball. I called it down to the move he would go for and how many seconds he would take to get to his spot and shoot. She asked me, " How did you do that?" Because I've been watching the same damn play for 5 years, he has been consistent in being bad for 5 years. Horrible.
One thing I will agree with here is how many lucky shots they got. I mean I was so upset with Hartenstein floaters, OG’s layup, JBs three like there were so many lucky buckets man.
There were 4 things the refs missed on a single play... as much as everyone is saying shut up... if it was reversed and Knicks had 4 missed calls on a single play by the refs... they would all be just as pissed as us.

That was a good analysis - Maxey shoved Hart in order to reverse his momentum to go the other direction. That forced Brunson to compensate and grab his t-shirt so if the referees don't call the offensive foul on Maxey then they shouldn't call the foul on Brunson. Regarding whether Hart fouled Maxey - the referees didn't call an offensive foul on Embid on a similar play when he pushed and extended his arm at Hart.
everyone talking about the refs but no one talking about how maxey embiid scored 69 out of the 101 points the sixers scored tonight. Thats 70% of the points scored. Everyone else on the team scored LESS then maxey COMBINED. The sixers have to step up and do something because a basketball team isnt made of 2 people. Hopefully this is sorted by thursday and we can win this series
