Wonderful demo, what types of canvas and or linen do you primarily use? I'm finding it difficult to find something with a medium texture in either canvas or linen. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and Happy New Year to you.

Thanks very much. This study is actually on a sized paper made by Canson for oil paint use. For more finished things I often use an acrylic-primed linen from a roll made by “Caravaggio”, medium texture. Hope that helps

I like this study and it's an interesting silent exposition of your approach. I do also like your narrated vids but this is an interesting change up and somehow highlights actions and stages of the work nicely. I like the way it shows you moving around the painting not getting caught up on any particular aspect but completing the entire work. Thanks for sharing as always and Happy New Year, I hope we'll be seeing lots more of your work in 24.

That’s pencil, probably sprayed with fixative before the first wash
