Thanks for the useful video! As per the students who couldn't prepare properly -- I think many of them won't even show up at the exam and then their bad results won't count in the quartile calculations. If that's true it means you won't compete with really unprepared students, only with people who at least know a fair bit of the material. A counterargument is that if an unprepared student has paid hundreds of dollars for the exam, (s)he will probably show up to at least practice the paper and that's good for the others. :)
Could I please ask your opinion - I consider to do FRM and CFA. I already started with the CFA program but would like to know if pursuing the FRM when will be best to fit FRM in - after the CFA program of the first part after CFA level II exam?
Werner Kriessbach FRM plus CFA is a good combination. If you can find time do FRM part 1 immediately after of even along with CFA level 1. You can certainly attempt FRM part 2 after CFA level 2. I wouldn't advise you to do FRM (either part) along with CFA level 2, as level 2 requires a lot of practice and its hard to find time for that along with part 2, especially if you're working. Starting FRM immediately after CFA level 2 is good because there is a gap of 1 yr till CFA level 3 and FRM acts as a good interlude. Hope i was able to help. Disclosure :I'm not associated with the creator of this video. Just helping out a fellow candidate.
Thank you PJ I'm writing the CFA level 1 exam in December and level 2 in June if all goes well with the December attempt. I want to do the FRM part 1 between the CFA level 2 & 3 exams - I was just wondering if there would be any synergies i.e. overlapping of the syllabuses to cut down on duplication - what I mean is that if in FRM 1 there are areas of overlap in level 2 I can leverage off that or may be the overlapping is in level 3
