This somehow managed to contain a smooth progression from “I knew this!” To “oh, I didn’t know that even existed” to “I don’t even understand what they are saying anymore”. I look forward to seeing you move in ways I still fail to comprehend in the near future!
And here I am with the little pride of occasionally performing one or two wall kicks... All in all, this is just mind blowing, still having something brand new in 2020. Salute for the incredible depth of this game's mechanics, and the devotion of speedrun community.
This is the first time that i feel left out with my ps4 pro (not counting the 1000 years filled longing for mouse-like agility). Thanks man for your video! It’s nice to learn something new about this game i’ve played (on and off) for years and years! With love and cheers, Jente
Sorry for an abrupt request of mine: Can I ask for permission of translating this video and re-uploading it to a Chinese video site for sharing? I'll post it with clear statement of original creator and link, and it will be non-profit. There's a small but rather lively Chinese Titanfall 2 community still existing, but for most of them, it's hard to watch English video and/or even access UA-cam, so I wish to share this to them. Anyway thank you for your creation.
Imagine you're on patrol with your squad and you hear a blur whiz by and the literal next instant three of your squadmates are on the ground chock full of buckshot
@bryonato Man I've put in the hours on this game but this guide has helped me more in less than an hour than the several hours I have just learning as I go. I really wanted to learn tap strafing for the online multi-player as well as just strafing in general to be harder to hit and maintain my speed while moving around the map. And im showing improvement by comparison for sure. Your guides are always helpful and I love your speed running content, speed runners are a different breed man I swear. Please keep it up my man!
Btw, this might be helpful for future videos: when you’re explaining something that is PC (/system) specific; watermark an indicator in one of the corners. Because not everyone is utterly focussed on every word you say, and thus might be totally helpless while thinking he/she is learning.
Only started playing on pc when it came out on steam, and I am so fucking hyped to try and learn this stuff. We need more more movement tech is games man btw the beautiful displays of bhopping & input mastery could make a quake speedrunner cry
Wish controllers weren't so limiting, are players using keyboard and mouse on console able to achieve this? I've ran into a few players that's speed made little to no sense compared to decently moving controller players.
bryonato yeah, great point, but dont you need to have analog to do certain tricks to gain more speed? If so, how has he achieved the world record while being limited to digital?
@@helpthebirdsarekeepingmeho4368 its because the movement that requires lurch a lot of the time just isn't necessary and having no lurch makes up for no tap strafes a lot of the time too
dude, i am so glad someone finally made an advanced movement tutorial. too many boring basic movement guides. also what the fuck how did you do that in the beginning (0:00) like wtfffff
Can' get the no lurch double jump to work. When i put in the space bar and alternate strafe direction in it still lurches?.. EDIT Nevermind work it out. You put in the strafe BEFORE the jump not at the same time. If i press teh strafe before I doubel jump it works, if I press at the same time like you said i lurch.
Everything not involving lurching is doable on controller, anything that is inciting an intentional lurch cannot be done and anything that starts with "no-lurch" is already done by controller. The one exception is spring-jumping as it's impractical on console.
Thx for the tutorial but I am on console and that console is ps4 and u think everyone knows how easy the controllers break. So i have auto sprint on because if i don't i literally can't run and it frustratingly, I bought 2 controllers and both have done the same thing, broke.
Yeah you wanna keep auto sprint turned off - there's lots of dumb stuff this game will do without express player input, so any manual control you can retain is best
Me before this video: It can't be that complicated, I know enough about this game
Me after: I am a fool, a clown, for believing I ever held knowledge
i know it is kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online?
This somehow managed to contain a smooth progression from “I knew this!” To “oh, I didn’t know that even existed” to “I don’t even understand what they are saying anymore”. I look forward to seeing you move in ways I still fail to comprehend in the near future!

same lol

I don't really speedrun this game but even after 700 hours I'm still learning new things.
Me too!
that lurchless super curveball is one of the most impressive looking things I've seen in a very long time
especially that third helmet
Lol I appreciate you noticing this. I popped off when I got it too: imgur.com/a/xMztncG
Titanfall rly do be zoomin recently
Holy moly I needed an advanced tutorial, I feel like I just plateaued on my movement journey in tf2
0:17 "We are going to be moving really fast here ..."
I got what you did
That "S" key is sitting there alone with depression. XD

The coming month i’ll have loads of free time. Will you be uploading new videos in that time? In any case, i’ll check your backlog for more :)
the music is fire, great taste bry

@@Bryonato Glad to hear this!

Was refered here after the first video. Jesus this is advanced. Time is the only answer, but thank you for the detalailed breakdown.
I don't speedrun but I am a flag runner in casual competitive CTF so this is some really valuable info for me. Thanks a lot
Those no lurch disembark jumps at the end were really cool.
I love learning about more tech I can't do on controller
Boy I'm a PC main and I can't even imagine myself getting to pull half of these techs off

Nice tutorial dude! I just started with tf2 after apex and it's amazing. I hope i can improve my movement skills fast with this vid.😋
This is pretty advanced do I would recommend grinding the normal movement first
12:17 it's so hard to focus on what ur saying, the drum'n'bass is just too good x)
since i play on controller i just utilize verticality and wallrunning to confuse my enemies, along with cloak which also works somewhat well
And here I was thinking I was pretty good after mastering the b-hop
Thanks for this incredible tutorial :)
Bonjour de France !
Yo that's some sick mathrock sounding background music

@@Bryonato brother I cannot wait!
Watched this video 20 times in a row... and I still cannot do most of these maneuvers ... I just can not do any of these things...
Wowzer.. There is A LOT more going on than I thought!
Jesus man, this helps a lot lot! Really appreciate the work 👍
Best titanfall vid ive ever seen
How do you get the km/h overlay?
The video was very informative, but please, lower the music volume and make your voice louder.
Me who can do bad slide-hops: What in the god damn.
How do you get the speedometer?
Btw, this might be helpful for future videos: when you’re explaining something that is PC (/system) specific; watermark an indicator in one of the corners. Because not everyone is utterly focussed on every word you say, and thus might be totally helpless while thinking he/she is learning.
how do you see your speed?
How did you activate that speedometer? I'm new but trying to get better and that would definetively help

btw the beautiful displays of bhopping & input mastery could make a quake speedrunner cry
btw epic music choice
What is that speedometer?
Nice
So no lurch is just emulating the controller feel while using a keyboard?
I'm actually friends with fzzy which is pretty funny seeing him everywhere in the tf2 community
Wish controllers weren't so limiting, are players using keyboard and mouse on console able to achieve this? I've ran into a few players that's speed made little to no sense compared to decently moving controller players.
Where can I get that clean speedometer tho
There's a link in the resources tab of the titanfall 2 speedrun.com page
www.speedrun.com/titanfall_2/resources -> Tools -> Speedometer
Gecko thank u!
Honestly, I understood nothing except of that my knowledge is almost level 0, and that I have a HECK of lot to learn.
How are you able to hold down the slide key and jump without your player standing again?
Tfw you want to advance in titanfall 2 and decide to get a grip on better movement, and realize you cant becouse your limited to controllers
The second fastest player in the world uses controller.

Exactly how much of this can be done on console
how did you see your speed in game? is it a setting or something?
I hope you see this but i put crouch as mouse 4 is that bad? But it’s very comfortable for my hand I just don’t know if that will stunt my speed.
you know hes a speed demon when he got bad mic quality.
whatre you using your rightclick for?
Okay now i got confused. Which of those can we actually do on contoller?
Everything not involving lurching is doable on controller, anything that is inciting an intentional lurch cannot be done and anything that starts with "no-lurch" is already done by controller.

i would recommend binding two jump inputs! would especially help if you had extra paddles
You can’t do that on console, it only allows one input. Can I just double tap really fast or something?
@@williampitton5753 Xbox has paddles you could use those
I just reached G2.0 today and I don't know wtf is going on
I swear to god you need a phd in mechanics physics to master this game
do i have any chance with a controller (ps4)
I play controller so about halfway through i stopped trying to understand what he was saying and just admired the movement
Can you tap strafe on console?
Darn it i play on xbox i can’t do some of this

I can spring jump just by pressing it really fast
Lol I lied you can do something really similar when disembarking
Sucks that it's not able to be preformed on console
what exactly does lurch mean?i still dont get it.
It's the small direction change you can do while jumping by inputting a or d , you kinda lose speed a little but you turn wider
I am on console :(
same :(
LO NECESITO EN ESPAÑOL ;-;
Can you POSSIBLY. Pick a more distracting song?
i dont even know how to strafe normally
Tfw you play on Xbox x)
I don't think I understood any of that.
me already knowing a lot of these and mostly playing online and everyone saying im speed hacking as i fly trough the map
Wow! As a console player all this info was useless😃
