    Hey would you say moon build can synergize well with party members? Heard moon is basically a selfish build and was wondering if this is the case?

    • @SpectralVessaliux
      @SpectralVessaliux  2 роки тому

      You still provide the same synergy as a Thirst Reaper would. Everything else though, Thirst would be better (stagger, counter, mobility, surviving). So yes, Moon is indeed a selfish build and I wouldn't recommend Moon Reaper as main but rather as an alt once you're familiar with raid mechanics.

      @@Raze145 If you really like Moon Reaper, then I'd say go for it. Just take in mind that the general populace may kind of stigmatize Reapers in general, as it is evident in KR. If you don't mind dealing with that, you should always play what you really want to.

      @@SpectralVessaliux I see, quick question though.
      Does moon reapers get a huge dps loss if you hold back on your counters to help out in case teammate missed a counter because all i’ve seen with moon reapers are players just wanting to get gauge up asap similar to impulse demonic?

      @@Raze145 There's a build variant where you only hold 2 Ambush skills (red skills). If you do this though, your DPS will go down significantly, which then begs the question of if you would able to provide 1 person's worth of DPS.

    Hey great run. Curious how hard would you say reaper is to play really. And is it just because they are so squishy like everyone says. So many ppl exaggerate and even more ppl talk wo/ experience. In your opinion is the squishy really a deal breaker or what would you say really makes reaper hard to main.
    I'm really looking forward to playing her in NA and I love my taijutsu scrapper but I'll obv be going from tanky to squishy so idk how to feel about that lol.

    • @SpectralVessaliux
      @SpectralVessaliux  2 роки тому +3

      Reaper is extremely squishy and the difficulty lies in being able to dish out your potential damage while not getting hit by random patterns as much as possible. I think the real deal breaker is the squishiness combined with the fact that a Reaper (Moon Reaper specifically) does not bring much to the table; you'll be lacking stagger, counters and you'll have to constantly utilize your mobility skills for filling identity meter rather than when you actually need them.
      If you're talking about Thirst Reaper, they bring far more to the party and they can actually hold counters and mobility skills for when they actually need it. This of course comes at a cost of damage when compared to the Moon counterpart.
      My suggestion is that if you plan to play Reaper as a main, going for Thirst may be a better idea as it is definitely more comfy and reliable to play when you're prog-ing new content. I would only play Moon if you're already familiar with the raid mechanics, and hence works better as an alt. Moon Reaper theoretically does more damage than Thirst, but this is only in the context of when you're playing both optimally. When you're not familiar with the content, it is far harder to cycle through rotations on a Moon Reaper, and thus Thirst would actually perform better.

      @@SpectralVessaliux that's an amazing explanation thanks so much and that def makes sense. I can see how moons play style would easily get players to greed for abit of damage and die. I think personally I'll love thirst. I love tai scrapper because of the very reason you mentioned about thirst. I'm not the strongest but I'm so free flow. I can hold onto whatever and use whatever skill I want whenever. Allowing me to have a lot of freedom and just have fun but I'm sure it's costing me dps compared to other classes.
      For thirst what are the key engravings to look out for? And stat points?

      @@I3asyl Ideal 33333 engraving would be Thirst + Grudge + Raid Captain + Ambush Master + Cursed Doll/Keen Blunt Weapon. Another notable engraving is Adrenaline. As for stats, you would go 1:1 Spec/Swift.

    • @SpectralVessaliux

      Part of the boss' mechanics; when its tail starts glowing green, you can do weak point break on the boss. When it does break, the party gets a buff which includes a heal over time.

      Partly due to Adrenaline. Reaper's red skills possess critical rate tripod as well, so you don't really need a lot critical rate.

    To anyone who plays this class, per your experience, would you say moon has better dps overall than thirst or are both more or less equal and moon just has bigger tooltips damage than thirsty?

    • @SpectralVessaliux
      @SpectralVessaliux  2 роки тому +1

      Moon definitely has a higher damage potential compared to Thirst. However, Moon is more mechanically demanding in terms of skill rotation and you're required to utilize every single skill as they come off cooldown to fill your identity gauge. This means you might not have Distortion, for example, when a specific mechanic or attack pops up. Holding mobility/counter skills basically means slower gauge generation which leads to decrease in DPS. On the flip side, Thirst Reapers can safely hold on to mobility skills like Nightmare and Distortion without losing DPS.
      Thirst Reapers are way safer compared to Moon and provides more to the overall party play (more stagger & more reliable counter).

      Thanks for posting this video and your comment was incredibly helpful. Thanks for your input. I can't wait for this class to release on NA/EU. I'm personally looking for a fun mobility class with good dps in general and brings a good toolkit to the party and this class seems to have the whole package.

      @@SpectralVessaliux i heard its a hated class in KR, why is that?

    • @SpectralVessaliux
      @SpectralVessaliux  2 роки тому +6

      @@legaliszii This actually applies to Moon Reapers more so than Thirst Reapers. The issue with Moon Reaper is that they are required to utilize every single of one of their skills constantly to maximize their DPS. This means they do not hold their counter nor their mobility skill. Reapers aren't exactly known for their stagger or destruction skills either. On top of that, they're extremely squishy.
      In short, Moon Reapers are what you call an extremely "selfish" DPS that doesn't provide much to the team and only focuses on their own DPS.
