A dirty desk is a sign of a creative mind!!! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, lol!!!
I read that same story😂
I don't feel nearly so bad about my chaotic creative clutter anymore. I'm disabled and literally surrounded by artsy supplies because they have to be within reach. However, most of my stuff is either in labeled or clear containers, which helps. Or maybe it's how I justify my bedroom looking like Martha Stewart stepped on a grenade. Never fails to need something in a container on the bottom of the stack, though. 😊 You're so creative, Tina. If this works for you, who are we to judge? If it's difficult for you, I hope you find a balance soon. Much love! Adore your videos. You inspire me daily.
You have enough stuff dropping onto the floor, that you will need another series called 'X-Piles Down Under' to pick up and organize THAT stuff. Ha.
This is how a desk should look, in my opinion. Only once in a while, big cleaning spree, satisfied deep sigh.. and gooooo, chaos!
I have a basket I toss all the goodies in. It's still a pile but not on my desk and contained. Then I do what your doing when it's full.
Just a suggestion 😊
That’s a fantastic idea, I fear I might not find a basket big enough! Lol xx
I love how you take just stuff on your desk and make such beautiful pieces! Don’t know how you are so patient with that glue though 😄
love the material idea to join pages together. The sewing just takes it to the next level.💕💕
love this series and it's so fun to watch you pull in stuff and just create beautiful pieces!
I love the title, and the series... so cute, and we all get those X-piles, don't we.
I don't no how anyone can craft and not have a mess Tina LOL I'm there with you
My craft desk is immaculate - HOWEVER - I do have three very large Tupperware-type containers labeled "STOMD", which stands for (a-hem) STUFF 🫣 that's on my desk. I will say, 'tho, that those boxes are always fun to go through. Looking forward to more X-piles! Love you, sweetie, and I'll see you tomorrow. MK ❤🤗❤️
Loved the video.. but was aching for you stressing with the glue. Lol.
My desk always looks this way. And I have to clear it off. But we make it don't we? Haha.
Love this! This works for me might help others. Desk contains glues and the stamps, scissors, punches tools of the trade etc. I keep all the papers in filing cabinet. Laces, material, paints, paint pads are in buckets in a stacking tower. I keep a three tier rolling cart which I load with everything I might need for current project working on. Then unload cart when done. Rolling cart is the chaos controller, the desk stays clean the 3 mats I have to create on! Tools stay in containers across the back half of desk!
Some of us aren't meant to be tidy. I was thrilled when a subbie said my desk reminded them of yours😅😘😁💜
Isn’t that the truth, Julie! (Mine too, and I now have two spaces to work…😂)
Looks like my space! I've been cleaning and organizing my craft area and it's rather overwhelming! Love that name of this - X-Piles! Watching and organizing as I watch! LOL!
I love this series!!!! It inspires me to find my desk at my craft areas 🤣😂🤣
Absolutely beautiful! You are a master at junk journaling!!! Very inspiring! I really love to junk journaling!
I love your open and honest attitude. Mr. Artymaze once called Andrea’s space “the room of doom”. Yes, my friend, my room is as messy as yours and worthy of “the room of doom” title. 🤣😂. Thanks for another wonderful video. Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Thank you so much Laura, I remember watching Andrea’s studio tour, I was so shocked when it turned out to be as messy as mine, I had pictured her crafting in such a tidy area, lol 😂. Yes, I think maybe we should all start calling our craft room’s that! Haha xx
Hi Tina, when you aren’t filming pull your glue bottles apart, and wash the separate parts of the silver bit of the glue bottle, it does help, mine goes in the dishwasher, but soapy water would probably do it, meanwhile take it apart and put the pin through the opposite side. Yes. Stuck glue drives me nuts too. Also add Vaseline to the bits that screw on, helps when adding more glue. Anyway, I’m loving this video. A firm favourite. I didn’t realise you used the button on your sewing machine,I do too, can’t be doing with the foot pedal, I go way to fast with the foot pedal, Thank you Xx😁🦋
Love this Tina. Happy weekend to you Jx 🐨🙃🇦🇺
LOVING THE SERIES -TFS-HUGS/BLESSINGS
I loved this video and since I am running behind watching them I can see this is a series. Gonna love it! Watching one right after the other. WooHoo…yahay. Great job Tina.🎉🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️
My table totally resembles yours. I get it all cleaned up and half hour later i can't find my scissors !! My Mum says only get out what you need, so she clearly does not understand the creative process of " needing " everything out. Plus this certain thing is drying so you go onto another thing, then that has to dry, so onto another, repeat, repeat, repeat. My stuff is constantly falling to the floor and getting picked back up. You are in good company with the majority of us.
Looking great 😍🙌🌻🌹🌺🌼🏵
Great Series my desk is never cleared Off craft everyday
Love watching your process! Helps me a lot. And yes, I have a pile on my desk. Hugs.....
I love this idea. Go with the Flow!!
It was lots of fun watching this chaos. My craft area looks horrible too! Good ideas
Honestly, how anyone manages to keep their craft space tidy is beyond me? Lol x
Great idea for a series Tina! Love how this journal is turning out♥️ xxx
Thank you so much Geena xx
X-Piles! Love the title! I've enjoyed having this playing alongside me tonight and you chatting through your creative process! I totally get the creative-carnage-mess that must be tackled before the next campaign. 🤨💭💡 And I get what you mean by "matchy - matchy". Pulling together a creative work doesn't need a theme/topic. It needs a creative soul, creative eye and an eclectic stash. Love this project and looking forward to how this series plays out. Sending creative mojo your way 😘
Your craft space looks very much like mine! I like having everything I need for a project out and available. It can look messy, but I know where everything is! 😂
Omg I love you Tina you are just like me when I get into it my desk ends up an absolute mess but believe it or not I can always find what I want 😂😂😂
Oh yes my desk looks like papergeddon too - I’m getting inspiration from you Tina, your giving me some great ideas 🥰🥰
Wow! Very inspiring! I think too many times I ignore my scraps and just reach for new. LOVE the idea of using them up! Looking gorgeous!!! Yes, Tina my desk looks as bad as yours and I’m using the dining room , so I can’t hide it!!! Lol! Have a fabulous day! 💜
I’m using my dining room table too (much to my Partners dismay) & yes it is just as messy 🤫
Oh you are so not alone!
Love, love , love this❣️
🙈 I'm in a bit of a mess myself atm as I'm mid project. If I did as much as you I'd easily be like that. You can't win with your glue problems 🙈. There's probably a skin just under your nozzles lol. It'll turn out lovely, your stuff always does! I need to force myself into an eclectic project🙈 probably the fairy journal. I couldn't sew without the foot pedal but the messy stitching looks like it's supposed to be like that! Creativity is chaotic in nature but we do get to a limit where it scrambles our brains 😄. Yes gorgeous colours, I love purple, especially with the green. You seem to be using loads, I'm sure you'll see a difference soon 😁. Lol I bought tiny brads by mistake too 🙈. It's looking gorgeous 😍 looking forward to seeing more! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I've learned if your glue is clogged, you may as well take off the nozzle and clear it from the bottle end, otherwise you're just pushing it up for a second then when you squeeze the glue down it will just block again. Annoying but time saving this way
I have the same problem with things falling off the other side of my table. I’ve been trying to tidy my desk so your videos are perfect timing
Great idea!
My desk looks exactly the same, lol!
My desk looks so beautiful now. I was really bad and I went to a thrift store and found 2 wooden boxes with 18 little drawers. I knew I could never find ones like this again and I bought both of them. I knew I would need to move things around in my craft room. I ended up putting on on my desk and the other on top of another little wicker piece with drawers. Now I have a big pile of items to put away. The 2 wooden boxes are an anniversary from my husband but he didn't know he bought me exactly what I wanted. We went to a winery for a picnic lunch and he took a couple of extra days off from work. I will be busy decluttering and working on my x pile. I still want your papers that you throw away . My scraps are tiny pieces and I keep digital prints together. I have all my fussy cutting items in one ephemera holer and a 3 ring binder with clear pockets and pages that I made with sewn plastic pockets. I haven't been making journals but I have been using clusters for greeting cards and I have been making lots more hidden paperclips. I have been busy and enjoying your x pile videos. ❤❤❤
You have gotten me into the habit of wiping up my glue seepage
Love your videos thank you ❤
Maybe you need a few boxes, set to the side of the desk, labeled "finished ephemera and pockets", unfinished ephemera/pages", snippet role pieces, etc. That way you can file those bits as you make them in videos.
Really enjoyed watching 👍 good luck with the clearance ❤
Thank you so much Denise xx
I love the cleaning up/organizing shows! But don't be ashamed, Tina. It's your space and only you have to work in it. Creative minds are seldom tidy!
No, you are not alone as so many others have already said. And yes, we all have a different aesthetic, but I love what you create. You are an inspiration. Gentle bear hugs xx
Mine is not quite as bad but I dont have as much stuff, Love the flip journal tfs Tina...Kia Kaha...
About the Sugar Bell bottle...did you not get a silicone cover with it? Mine came with one and it really helps close up the end of that nozzle. If not, maybe just take the silver end piece off and throw out the glops before using. Always love your videos! I watch every day! I hope to be making more journals soon! Love to you and your family!
That’s looking lovely! I truly admire your patience with that #%!{§ glue 🤪
I love how this all came together. ❤❤
Return of the X-Files!! Love his series!! Hope you are doing well!! Hugs!!
I always work messy!😮
You never cease to amaze me, love your channel.
I so encouraged after seeing your workspace.
Love it! ❤️ oh the glue struggles 😅 I find that when I push the pin in, it just pushes the congealed blob of Glue down the nozzle but it goes straight back to the tip of the nozzle again... I take the nozzle off and clean out the blockage on the inside, usually solves it pretty quickly ☺️
Thank you so much, I think you’re right the blocking blob soon makes its way back into the nozzle, lol xx
Omgoodness, the glue struggles are real. My glue and glue bottles make me crazy. Hahaha , at least I'm not alone. Thanks for sharing. Have a super fantastic day. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤ PS continued prayers
Great. Idea
I do love the organizing videos. I hurt for you but also chuckled at the constant glue debacle. I always think your unplanned projects are amazing! My desk is messy while I'm on a project. If I did as many as you I would be in a pickle. Lol
Yes! help! ❤ loving this series Tina x
The glue struggles ARE real. Aggravating to say the least. Thought it was just me.
I am allso battling to keep my desk neat. My excuse is when i pulled out some.container for a.specific reason,i.cannot interupt my creativity to go put it back in its place, because when i get back to the table,i would have forgotten what i wanted to do with the item i took out
On some of the items in this, it looked like they really would look best with the corners rounded
Just my opinion
I love your messy desk it's what mine looks like after a session of crafting but I was wondering if you have thought about selling some. of your scraps to someone else who is just starting out or who would love what you have. just a thought and you may already do that have a great day love your work
Thank you so much, I am going to try and do that, thank you so much for the suggestion xx
@@shabbydabbydoodah hopefully it will help
I try to de clutter once a week, but it doesn’t last a day, lol I find something I was going to do an then the mess comes back. Oh well at least I try
Haha, that’s the problem isn’t it, we’re only ever one project away from another mess! Lol xxx
I said this before I think but I seem to be the only person who puts my glue upside down into a glass jar, a tiny bit leaks out and it seals it off and I can just peel it off and works perfectly.
Pam at the paper outpost does that too with some of her different glues. I’ve not been able to make that successful because the temperature swings too much where I live. I use a silicone cover on the sugarbelles bottles, which seems to do the trick. ❤
🥰
Cover the red holly looking flowers?
Hello Tina, I don't have a messy desk, instead have a messy container. Enjoyed watching, will look forward to more. TFS🩵
Thank you so much Denise xx
I could show you one at my house
🦋🦋🐞🐞💕💕🙋♀🙋♀
Sorry to say but my desk is always clean. That being said does not mean by any chance that I'm able to find certain things I put away 😂😂😂
Haha, but at least it’s always clear, I take my hat off to you xx
☀️🇨🇦🌷❤️
Probably should have used a glue stick.
30 episodes later😅😂...
Haha xx
