Find nostalgia gaming helps alot. I find newer stuff doesn't hold my attention for long and not bothered to continue playing, but if I load up something from my childhood I tend to get lost playing for hours without realising
Thanks for sharing dude! It's so different once you have a kid and you've got a few! Hats off to you man, I'm struggling a lot with juggling all the different bits of life around a toddler. Finding rest to be better than gaming, but then I have gamer friends who keep dropping the idea back in my head and also a YT channel which I keep planning to quit but keep getting pulled back in. Finding Zen philosophies and practises to help but man, fitting it in around everything else is such a challenge! It's like time management simulator but I'm not the best at it :D That's life though, we learn from our struggles and grow through patience and perseverance.
@@AydinHero Thanks so much for your comments! Yes, we live and learn through life (level up). Right when you get the toddler challenges mastered they go to school, and then they become teenagers, and then… Joy can be found in all aspects of life, even the challenges!
I kind of have this with videos games. I absolutely love gaming, but for a couple of years (at least) I just find no games hold my attention, yet I still like to buy games. I certainly play a massively broad spectrum of games, but I find it hard to get excited with anything. Its annoying.
I feel this, I just can’t sit and play my PlayStation like I used to. I have many consoles and the older ones are modded so they have a ton of games and my ps5 has ps premium with access to a ton of games too and a lot of physical media but having a gf and she likes to play Genshin impact or Overwatch with me makes me lose so much interest in them and the other games. I’ve lost the joy of hearing the ‘beep’ of my PlayStation or being excited for new releases because I have a stack of games I haven’t touched and now feel defeated and sad. I think you’re right and I need to take a step back and do other things in my life.
Gaming burnout? Pick up an instrument. During Covid I learned to play drums and restart playing guitar. Pull off cool combos. Plenty of replay ability.
The real issue is you buy too many games. Only buy things you are excited about.

So much truth here! It's easy to become fixated on gaming - but you real life and family are more important. Thanks for that reminder.
Loving the boardgames by the way, definitely will be doing this with my son when he's older
6:30 to 8:15 is so good man! Well said!

I was 2 or 3 days away from my computer, and can confirm, I feel renew.
gonna try and take more breaks

@@Postmortumaz yes! What a great idea! Learning to play an instrument is a solid way to level-up in the real world.
Great content. Keep them coming.
Appreciate the video.
Some truth there for sure (the personal aspect)
