I'm curious on the xmc-2 the only thing that probably needs to be upgraded eventually is the hdmi board. Since you have both the RMC-1 and the XMC-2 right there why not open up the box and see if the HDMI boards have the same hdmi boards. Where would you say Emotiva sits among other brands such as Marantz, McIntosh, Arcam, NAD ect? Not price wise, sound performance amongst these manufacturers. Thanks
Not a comment on sound but I'd expect this pre/pro to be competing with AudioControl, Monolith, and Acurus. The "budget" 16 channel fleet. I'd expect to see Denon jump in one day with a 16 channel prepro... maybe Onkyo too.
My setuo currently consists of the Emotiva unbalanced BASX-800 and BASX-700 power amps . They are ready to power a full 15.3 setup. I also own QED Performance Graphite unbalanced RCA cables to connect a pre-pro to the amps. If XLR to RCA adapters are not recommended how should I be connecting the XMC-2 to my amps? And how would this be better than using adapters? (I've just spent a fortune on 15 Neutrik XLR to RCA adapters because I read they are the best quality!) Thanks.
@@ciscojimenez1307 Thanks for the reply. I've been running the XMC-2 FOR A while now with the XLR-RCA adapters. No issues found so not sure what Chris was taking about. The XMC-2 certainly has plenty of issues of its own however 😪.

@@ThatHomeTheaterDude I can get that. From a listening distance of 7 feet from my center channel and 9 feet from the Left and Right channels the "hum" isn't audible for me. I have to put my ear up to the tweeter to hear any hum.

daisy chain. one signal goes to one sub then on the output of the sub another signal goes to the input of your second sub. Better signal transmission :)
Less noise and humm when connecting Amps. Some amps power and they’ll be a little hissing sound from the speaker when nothing is being played. Fully Differential keeps it VERY quite when it’s supposed to be and gives awesome dynamics.
