So basically, Fast forward happened because the show kept getting darker and darker so they were forced to change the art style and character design to make it appeal more to kids (idk why they think kids are dumb, I used to like the dark shit in this show and the main reason I love it so much) and then I guess back to the sewer was made because people didn't like fast forward a lot which was supposed to be two seasons I think... and there were plans to make a season called Shredder wars or something like that but it never happened.. The finale of the 2003 series is a movie called Turtles forever.. The main story truly ends at season 5 and I think that's what the plan was but season 5 was too dark so it wasn't aired and instead Fast Forward was aired but then season 5 was aired, so people back in the day got confused a little, (I didn't because I never watched it on tv since I didn't live in america).
Me personally 2012 gave alot of depths ro the characters were familiar with especially the likes of Leo and Karai april, splinter,Mikey,. To Leo growth especially began in s2 he had to face his fears of failing as a leader but he really stood his ground in the finale and first half of s3 showed him recover his confidence and believe in himself again and has tons of great moments in s3 and even more s4 and avenge splinter, it was a team effort but end he finished the job and that one of the reasons he my favorite turtle and relate to him the most and always tried to be the Leonardo with my friends
Personally I think 2012 TMNT is the best variation overall. They do a better job at distinguishing the turtles from each other than the others and holds closer to the stories I grew up with as a child just more mature. The turtles actually feel like an actual team here in the making. I like 2003 too, but well Utrom Shredder always kinda bothered me alittle bit. Love the design though. Plus I always hated what felt like a heavy focus on Leonardo and him just being better than the rest of the turtles.
For the pupils in Back to the Sewers was around the time of the 2007 movie and cause of it they were told to make 2003 turtle's look more like the 2007 Turtle's cause they didn't wanna make a separate toy line for 2003 during the time of the movie
A joke i made for Fast Forward for 2003 😂 that it was more of a holding back season of the writers , found some info that they wanted to add cannibalism into that arc and a few other dark stuff i can't say😂
Rise does have a longer version of the intro song but no visuals to go along with it I really like the accapela version of the theme song coverd by the voice actors

Took me years to realize that in the first intro, Donatello was trying to make an espresso machine. Back in the 80s, that version he had was maybe only 10-20% larger really :p
2003 is probably my favorite, shit gets me hyped like crazy, although it's impressive how consistent TMNT when it comes to banger themes *with few obvious exceptions lmao
I grew up with 4 of the shows (87, Next Mutation, 2003, and 2012), and I just prefer 2012 over all of them any day. '87 is a close second though. I absolutely loved TMNT so much, that I decided to watch Rise a year ago, at 15. Loved Rise as well; And the movie was amazing!!
Yeah those fans are stuck in their ways. They refuse to see the franchise evolve. Even though there are many alternatives that harken back to the classic series.
Yeah, I wish people would stop comparing newer stuff to what came before and claim the 'original' as the standard. Take Batman the Animated Series, for example. I have seen it, a majority of the way through, but I honestly like the newer (2004) The Batman better.

I remember they used to have episodes of the 2003 TMNT on GAMEBOY CARTRIDGES. They could fit one episode on a gameboy advance cartridge, and it was the full episode. But being a GBA, the quality was shit.

they need to make an turtles forever 2 movie but this time have the 2003 and 2012 rise mutant mayhem 2007 80s the prime turtles and including the out of the shadows turtles I know that they are live action and everything but just have them look exactly how they do in the ninja turtles legends games but a little bit better and all of the turtles villains from the seasons of there shows and movies will be up in the movie and team up with each other and will bring the rise kraang back and he and kraang 2 and kraang 3 will be the main villains before they actually do this I want them to have an season 3 or a more seasons of rise of tmnt because it should have gotten more seasons and there were a lot of characters they was going to have but didn't like bishop and the earth protection force the triceratons rat king armaggon when they do that then they can have them up in the movie to
