  • Locker Nuts episode 411
    This is the fourth day I've worked on this big 10x30 locker that I bought at an online storage auction. So far the finds have been outstanding, and in this episode they get even better. I can't believe how many collectibles this guy stuffed away in his storage! I scored big time.
    This is part 4 of the "Where's the Gun Safe?" locker.

    Hey - when you see an old book wrapped up - DON'T OPEN IT AND FLIP THRU THE PAGES! Take them directly to an antique book store to sell or appraise. Every touch decreases their value. What a find!

    The Purple Ty bear might be the Princess Diana Bear - one Internet site claims it went at auction for many many K- I kid you not. If that I
    IS a Diana bear, you have found gold at the end of the rainbow. The angel bear beanie is also very valuable, and many of the others look highly collectible. Fingers crossed that you have hit a vein of gold.

She told us we were never going to go with her again shopping and she threatened us with our Dad when she told him he just burst out laughing and guess what my brother and i got one of the balls for Christmas courtesy of our Dad LOL.

    The bell doily is tatting, a form of lace making. You can recognize it because of the thick thread and tiny knots and loops. Two of the pieces you found earlier were also tatting. The pieces you found earlier that were round or polygons are hot plate pads. They are woven on a frame. There were also a view pieces of krochet in what you found earlier.

    1850s Willy the Shake - worth a shake to see if there's money or other goodies in the pages. It was a school prize. Those big Collected Works volumes are never worth much unless the illustrations are exceptional. 03:32 The hall tree is probably circa 1900, so Antique for sure. Still useful too if you can get the mildew/mold out of the box area. (eyyyuch). The Yatzee score card will sell, if not for a pile. Those old game pieces always do. 45 sleeves got tossed or ripped, so they're harder to find than the 45s. Most 78s are good for crafting but that's about it. Some rarer blues and jazz albums or Elvis 78s are worth money. 36:37 That crochet piece was NOT easy. Usually women's handicrafts sell for bupkis, so it isn't worth nearly what it ought to be. Darnitt.

  • @SantosLHalper33
    @SantosLHalper33 3 роки тому

    I'd take a look at those 78s before you threw them to a flea market or in the bin. The 78s that do have value are typically pre-1940s Blues and Hillbilly/Country or 1950s R&B and Rockabilly. It looks like you have a Carl Perkins 78 and that one can fetch somewhere around 50 depending on the condition. If you sell it online, make sure to package it super well though. They break far too easily (which is why they can be expensive).
