After carrying the Tomtoc EDC sling for awhile, I got this one because it’s bigger. But honestly, it’s so much more than just a bigger pack. They thought through all of the details. The swivel for the strap is a total game changer. Goodbye strap twist. I use the bottle holder for a small umbrella. I use that hidden pocket for my phone. It’s snug, but easily accessible. I’ve had this sling for two months and use it daily
Out of most of the reviews of this bag you're one who gave a good perspective of what it's like to actually fill up the compartments of the bag and show the capacity of this thing in a visual aspect Best part is knowing I can actually fit a tech organizer here, that's hella neat. Honesty I wish you did state what the Oz or size of the water bottle was so I know what I bottle size I can really fit there. Most people are just so vague when it comes to bottle size
Hello, I’m glad you found the review helpful. The water bottle is a 24 oz hydro flask bottle. The bottle is 3 and 13/16th inches in diameter and 11 and 1/2 inches tall. Hope this helps.
@@alphaartisan I see, so it can fit much larger bottles than what some has stated- that it could only fit up to 22 oz or 18 oz Gives good perspective of the inside's carry capabilities thanks for the review and reply, it's being delivered to me this week 👌

Great review! Really appreciate you moving around/ jumping with it. Many slings slip a lot. Trying to decide b/w the 7L and 9L. Have you tried the 9L? Does it feel a lot bulkier? The 7L placement looked perfect when you pulled to the front, do the think the 9L would be/ feel over sized? Again great review! Thanks a lot!
I ended up sleep buying this and tomtoc 40l for travel so I can carry both on mini vacation. Both had 20% off. Hopefully both will satisfy my needs or else imma have to continue trying to find the bags I need. I just feel alpaka and aer is overpriced and gimmicky
Thanks for this, I never thought about a sling. I suppose on/off quicker than backpack. I bet if I watch the video before I comment, you'll let me know right? Lol, thanks for posting!
@Alpha Artisan awesome. Thanks. I sometimes feel that tech organizers keep things neatly in place, but there are limited items that can go in, especially with the tomtoc sling bag. I end up using a small packing cube for it.
@@premreginald this tech kit is to small for most things. I really like Alpaka’s elements tech sling and peak designs tech sling. I use them both as tech packs in larger bags
Since the bag has a vertical orientation, how do you access the contents of the bag -- meaning the back zip pocket and the main zip when you sling it around to the front?
@@alphaartisan Thanks! I was wondering the same and given I didn't see anyone make mention of vertical orientation (that seems like a relatively recent change) I am guessing others are like you. That was one of the first things that jumped out at me: "How can I easily get at the stuff in the main compartment while swinging it to the front?". I guess the short answer is "Not very well". Thanks for the reply!
@@tagman12 yes and for this reason I favor one shat have a side access design so when I put the strap around the headrest and have the sling sitting horizontally I can still get to items inside.
Tomtoc changed the name of the bags for some reason. So the 9L is now called the 7L, and the once 7L, is now called the 5L. It's very confusing, but they are def the same bags, as well as the same sizes. There's no industry standard when it comes to measuring Liters for bags, so you really shouldn't put too much stock in the liter capacity. Just try to judge based on reviews. One company's 20L, is another company's' 26L.
I just got it and I love it. But that outer pocket is it strong? I don't want it to tear since it feels differnt then the rest of the bag since I have it pretty full I don't want something ripping
Thanks for the review. Just curious what you would recommend between this and the H02 in terms of comfortability. I’m a student so I’ll be walking around campus all day, and I’m trying to decide between this style sling or a more messenger style bag.
Hello, I’m glad you like the review and I do have a recommendation for you. The explorer sling is much better set up to do walking especially at hot days. If all you’re caring is an iPad for class and you don’t need to carry a 14 inch laptop. This would definitely be my recommendation for you.
@alphaartisan ill be carrying my 14.6inch samsung tablet, keys, chargers, powerbank, pens, notebook, some type c adapters, sunglasses, earbuds. Not far, mainly travelling between home, University, gym, parks.
@@muhdzulhilmi7 I believe the HO2 is probably more appropriate given the fact that my 11 inch iPad Pro barely fits into the a54 with a decent size case on it. Unless the Samsung is long and narrow, it probably won’t fit.

There are other good videos about this bag too. I got mine only after watching those videos.
Specifically bought this for my Steam Deck., fits really well with the original case. Pretty cool looking bag for everyday use too.
Glad your enjoying it
